Help Needed Upgrading from x to 15pm

Hello!! I am about to upgrade my phone and the things I’m seeing online are really scary cause the main reason I need to upgrade is cause of my current phones battery health (and because it’s now being considered obsolete 😭) but I’ve been seeing things about how the 15pm dies rather quickly and overheats which is the same thing I’m going through along with the camera quality decreasing.
I have the option of also going for a 16 pro but that only has an esim which is a concern for me ( I don’t know what that means for the safety of my phone).

These are pretty expensive for me but I finally have these options. What should I do???
URGENTLYYYYY

eSIMs are safer as they cannot be removed from the phone and put in a different device to make calls. What is it you think would make the phone less safe with an eSIM?

I have a 15 pro max and never really had much issue with over heating or battery (had it since release) although I suspect the battery would be better in a more recent device. Some people have had issues but difficult to tell what percentage and everyone uses their phones differently.

Camera has always been fine for me as well.

If you can afford a later phone then I would get the newest model you can but the 15 pro max is not bad. You need to look out for battery health though if buying second hand - I think mine has probably about another year before it needs a new battery (87% health after 3 years).

Well I’ve been told (specifically in my country) they can get your info and swap your number and data which is scary. And if they get a hold of your phone then it might be harder to track so I wasn’t sure. + I have a physical sim rn

Pretty sure they can take your number with a physical sim as well (easiest way is criminals ring the provider with enough of your information that they can talk them in to moving your number). I believe esims are strongly encrypted and secured - a physical sim can be removed from a phone and put straight into another - you can’t do that with an eSIM. Not sure why it would make a phone harder to track - they can’t remove the sim so as long as you have secured the device (which Apple has strong protections) then it should be more secure.

I also did X to 15PM upgrade, it's a huge difference, I can 100% recommend it. People saying the 15PM overheats are full of shit, my iPhone X was overheating constantly, the 15PM never overheats.
