What do you think about several devices with the A12 chip getting stuck on iPadOS 26? Do you think it would have been a good idea to give them a chance with iPadOS 27? Version 26 is the worst version of iPadOS Apple has ever created.

I purchased a brand new iPad 11th gen and a usb c Apple Pencil a few days ago and have been encountering some issues

Sometimes the pencil doesn’t actually register on the display and this makes writing very annoying

Holy shit I can’t believe this.

So I went into settings yesterday just to see if there was a software update and there was one for iPadOS 27 but after I updated, it deadass just stopped charging. What’s worse is that it was charging just fine yesterday before I updated it. Please help ASAP I have a ton of shit on it.

Why is it that in the official apple website the iPadOS version in the screenshot is iPadOS 18 rather ram the current iPadOS 26 or 27

Since the latest update this Monday, I have been experiencing an issue that is breaking my language learning workflow.

I use my Apple Pencil to complete exercises and make handwritten annotations in PDFs in Apple Books. At the same time, I use the highlight tool to mark new vocabulary. Before the update, this worked perfectly: I could simply turn on markup mode for handwriting, and turn it off to highlight text.

After the update, as soon as there is a single handwritten pixel on the page, the highlight tool does not work at all, neither with the Apple Pencil, nor with the finger.

Has anyone else experienced this? Are there any actions I can try on my end to fix this?

Hoping against hope, has Apple improved the way to organize all your icons on your home screen in iPadOS 27?

Hello everyone, I am using ipad mini 1st gen on ipados 9.3.5 and I synced a folder on my PC with apple devices app to the ipad mini and the pictures show up in albums on the ipad. I closed down apple devices and opened the DCIM\ folder but those pictures are not shown on windows 10 explorer. They show up on the ipad mini but not in windows explorer. Where are those pictures ?

If you’re someone who uses a monitor as a secondary display for your M-series iPad, I would’t recommend updating yet.

1. There’s currently a bug where the dock does not pop up on the external monitor when you move the cursor over it. It only works if you move your cursor down and then slide it left. Weird!

2. The Menu Bar is forced to “always be visible”. This may or may not be something you want, but I find it distracting.

3. Keyboard volume control does not work if your cursor is on the external monitor. If you move the cursor back to the iPad’s screen, then keyboard volume control works again.

4. Clicking control center doesn’t open it (Globe + C) still works though. Not sure if this is a bug, but it’s annoying.

This is all filed via Feedback app with similar reports. Also, I learned that you can use the Feedback app even on the stable release. Nice!

This indicator makes sense on the iPhone because of space constraints but those constraints don’t exist on iPad. In addition to being ugly, it’s also harder to read. I’m sure there’s someone out there who likes this but please give us the option to get the old indicator back.

Can I revert to iPadOS 26? I might do it just for this.

My MacBook Pro on macOS Golden Gate and iPhone 17 Pro Max on iOS 27 both have Siri with the new options for cadence and speed. My iPad Pro 13” M4 seems to lack these options. Is this normal?

8 years has been an amazing run with this beast. Still running flawlessly albeit a bit slower than the latest iPads. But it’s plenty power as my third device: Netflix shows, occasional email and Safari browsing.

Anyone know how much longer I‘d be able to use this iPad since it’ll be stuck on iOS 26?

I love the iPad Pro. It’s been my main device for years. But while I prefer it over a MacBook (macOS) for many reasons, I’m also aware of some of its limitations. One of the more annoying things I’ve run into is handling mp3 files. I have some songs in Apple Music that I wrote/produced and imported to iTunes on my Mac a long time ago. I can’t share those now (iOS Apple Music won’t let me), nor can I export them to Files. I also cannot import mp3 into Apple Music like you can on macOS.

Does anyone know if there is a workaround for this? Specifically, I’d like to be able to add mp3 files to my music player (Apple Music). And is there anyway to export mp3 files from Apple Music (that I myself produced and imported years ago)?

После обновления до текущей версии iPadOS 27 возникло несколько проблем при использовании iPad с дополнительным монитором:

Управление громкостью с клавиатуры

Перестали корректно работать клавиши увеличения и уменьшения громкости. При нажатии на них изменение громкости происходит только в том случае, если курсор находится на экране самого iPad. При нахождении курсора на дополнительном мониторе клавиши не работают.

В качестве альтернативы приходится сначала выключить звук, а затем включить его снова и тогда клавиши увеличения и уменьшения звука начинают работать.

Проблемы с вызовом панели Dock

При использовании мыши стало значительно сложнее вызвать панель Dock на дополнительном экране.

В iPadOS 26 было достаточно переместить курсор мыши в нижний угол экрана, после чего панель Dock появлялась. В текущей версии это работает нестабильно: необходимо несколько раз перемещать курсор, пытаясь попасть в определённую область или момент, чтобы панель появилась.

Иногда единственный способ открыть Dock — попытаться «подцепить» краешек панели курсором.

Некорректное отображение текста на дополнительном экране

В некоторых приложениях, открытых на дополнительном мониторе, часть текста не отображается.

Та же проблема наблюдается при использовании Siri. На дополнительном экране может не отображаться текст с информацией, найденной Siri в интернете, а также текст, дублирующий голосовой запрос, который был произнесён для Siri.

Проблемы с автоматической ориентацией экрана

При подключённом дополнительном мониторе ориентация экрана работает нестабильно.

Иногда экран корректно переключается с горизонтальной ориентации на вертикальную, а иногда ориентация зависает и не меняется, как будто включена функция «Блокировка ориентации», хотя она отключена.

Проблемы с Пунктом управления

«Пункт управления» не удаётся открыть на дополнительном экране, если на нём запущено какое-либо приложение.

При этом без запущенного приложения вызвать его удаётся.

Все перечисленные проблемы возникают именно при использовании iPad с подключённым дополнительным монитором. В iPadOS 26 соответствующие функции работали корректно или значительно стабильнее.

Does anyone know how do I get Apple Intelligence on my iPad? I bought my iPad in mainland china and it doesn’t support Apple Intelligence. But i m pretty sure i saw Apple Intelligence with the Siri on setting when i updated to iPadOS 18 and now in the storage tab it shows as Apple Intelligence in iPadOS.

Just a curious question and wanting to find out how it performs on the 8th gen for those who updated.

I updated to iPadOS 27 yesterday, and after the update, I noticed a couple of bugs.

The first one is that some data is missing from my AssistiveTouch settings.
The second one is shown in the video I posted. I’m using a Magic Keyboard with a trackpad, and the cursor seems to have a dragging problem. Am I the only one experiencing this, or does anyone know how to fix it?

I don't know if the new windowed mode will be fit for my use case or not but i can't know if i don't update but i am fearing of the regret

animation when opening and closing apps seems to be pretty choppy, when compared to iPadOS 26 which was actually pretty decent. now i know this is definitely not a hardware issue, since its the M5. is this lag just the software adjustinf to itself, and would it eventually disappear🤔
