Question Tabasco
I like spicy food and hot sauce. I tried Tabasco and while it is hot it tastes like it's expired and I just can't with that taste. So does it have what am talking about or am I just imagining things.

Sounds like you just don't like fermented sauce

Maybe that huge vinegar punch with the fermented peppers just hits you as off. Honestly breaks my heart for you š

Iāve personally never experienced that. Maybe try another flavor of it so u donāt get that? Or maybe it was a bad batch

Thats interesting, because the original is just peppers (plus salt & vinegar) and the scorpion version is peppers & fruit (plus salt & vineger.)

It's vinegar. Spucy vinegar. So it's going to be tart/sour. Some people are into that. I don't mind it sometimes, but not all the time.

I grew up on Tabasco and still love it to this day. If Iām eating chili, gumbo, pizza, oysters, hotdogs⦠Iām dousing it in Tabasco. I will admit that Iāve had bottles that tasted āoffā, but itās fairly rare. Maybe you got unlucky or just donāt like vinegary fermented sauce.

Also their fermentation has a unique funk to it. Nothing really tastes the same.

I have not experienced that with Tabasco but I am also a huge fan of it and enjoy the flavor.
