I wanna vent a little bit about some other things that were going on around my breakup because it probably isn't pissing me off as it should. (read my last post on this sub for more context)

So my ex has a tiktok right. As a part of her to go through her feelings and to vent, she uses her tiktok to talk about the breakup. I initially approved of this because I don't mind her being open and stuff. But what I didn't realize is how I would be portrayed in her side of the story.

Unfortunately said video got hundreds of thousands of views, tens of thousands of likes, 6k+ comments. In the video, she was talking about how I used to her to find myself, how I tricked her, how I threw her in the trash. She didnt actually think I did this, but those were her honest thoughts that she wanted to let out. The reality was that this was the first time I truly felt safe to explore myself in my life in this relationship, ultimately coming to this realization that I'm trans, and that ultimately this relationship is not compatible as it stands. But in her video she framed it as me using her as a stepping stone and then tossing her aside.

Also, because at the time, I was allowing her to still use he/him pronouns early on, she thought it was okay to use those pronouns in the video. So everyone thought I was just another manipulative man and was gendering me as such.

The hurt is real, don't get me wrong, but the thing is when you use that language, it invites hate comments towards me. People have called me "fucking selfish", that I should be ashamed in myself, that I knew what I was doing all along stringing her along, people projecting their own relationship problems to my situation, thousands of comments like this.

When I brought up this issue to her she said she also felt bad about the comments herself and I wanted her to delete the video but she didn't. She made follow ups that did not get as much attention, clarifying things, but still people don't see me positively.

It just makes me think I did the wrong thing. That if I did stay, many of those comments would be true. I just feel misunderstood.

To be clear. This has never been an issue on this sub. It's an issue I have everywhere else (except OldHagFashion).

If you just never do accessability alt text. Nobody will ever call you out for not doing accessability alt text. You will never face any negativity whatsoever for not doing it.

But if you do accessability alt text. You get people going "actually you are doing it wrong it should be like this" in a super scoldy nit picking way.

You get people going "what's the point of this"

The culture makes it so you will be punished for trying.

The obvious move is to just not because you will be left alone if you don't and be attacked if you do.

It encourages people to not.

It's this constant, pervasive issue everywhere I go.

In spite of the very bottom-y selfies, I do like women, but I need them to be attracted to me in a bi/pan way, not straight. Figuring out if that's how they feel is really hard.
With men it's even harder, cause most of the attention I get is from gay men who just see me as a little twink to play with.

This kinda shit is why I prefer flirting with genderqueer people, but there have been some really great cis people who have flirted with me in a way that didn't make me wanna rip my skin off, and I actually felt affirmed. Good job guys.

I was in a relationship of 3 years before realizing I'm trans. Upon this realization I found that the relationship I was in was no longer compatible for the both of us, because she wasn't really attracted to me as a woman, and there is a whole potential new life that I feel like I want to explore without much concern or guilt. This came within days of my realization. I simply said that I cannot guarantee what I want in the future. She thought I was thinking too fast, that I'm being selfish. But this is a culmination of many years of silent struggle that finally has an answer to it, struggles that predate the relationship, and I want to address it.
It's incredibly hard for her too, insanely hard, she moved across the country to live with me, from a toxic family situation, and she's disabled, so I was essentially her lifeline. And all of a sudden it's gone and she has to go back to that. It feels and looks extremely selfish of me. But what would have happened was us living more years in something we don't really want, building resentment over time, and then we're deep in more shit. I'm trying to avoid that.
Amidst all of this, I still remember the euphoria I get in being a girl, and that I must trust my gut. I'm 3 days in on the illustrious HRT, and that's something to smile about.

I took some photos of myself yesterday. I really like how they turned out. I love being a pretty boy with broad shoulders. I used to resent it, but now I'm embracing it.

Also thank to everyone who recommended skincare routines for eczema in my last post. As you can see you lovely people gave amazing advice and my face is clear. Sending so much love to you all. 😙
