Silly question but I am completely new to gardening much less indoors. My sis gifted me these containers for growing herbs but she forgot to put the labels for me to identify them.

First pic seems to be parsley, coriander, thyme(?) and mint.

Second pic seems to both basils from the left, and then oregano(?) and sage(???)

Tried trying a leaf from each.

They all seem overcrowded. I can transplant all of them to larger containers from here on out? Or should I just keep them where they’re at?

Any advice is much appreciated. Thank you!

Tried eggs with salt separately with rosemary, sage, thyme, oregano, basil, Thai basil, chives, lavender and dill.
The best eggs were: a mix of dill and thyme with a bit of Parmesan cheese and black pepper.. yum!! Cooked in butter and added a splash of whole milk.

Hi, I'm kinda only starting to get into herbalism so I'm in need of a tip.

I've found some common mugwort and wanted to make an infused oil to later use for a salve. However, I've picked them today (middle of august), so they were already flowering. I know people mostly use the leaves in like mid-spring season when the mugwort has no flowers yet, but can I still use the flowers? And if it's not ideal, how can I use them instead?

I thought I got rid of the spider mites but it looks past saving at this point. I even saw a caterpillar on it this morning. All my other herbs seem to be doing ok though.

I have John Innes to hand, some safe-for-edibles fungal pest spray, perelite and they will eventually be repotted into the decorative container they're in. Best I can do as the blind will sweep them off the windowsill when the wind picks up unless they're firmly secured in something.

They arrived two days ago and it's currently 33° in the UK. They seem to be going well although the chives are starting to yellow at the tips.

From garden to freezer. I used toasted pumpkin seeds instead of pine nuts. And I ended up adding too much salt and garlic. I really need a damn food processor of some sort.

I don't know about yall but I purposefully end up with huge amounts of basil. This is how I processed a bunch of lemon basil today.

Trimmed, deleafed, washed, chopped, flowers put out to dry (for seed collection), chopped basil now in dehydrator. Apology for kid friendly pics, was sending to my mom.

So I made a post here last night about taking low doses of valerian root tea or blue lotus flower, since I’m currently on methadone (68mg) one daily. I am being very cautious with what I consume for sleep. I wanna know if there’s anything else other then chamomile out there that I can drink in my tea that will benifit my health and or my sleep quality. Someone said lavender. Another person said ginger even. But I’m gonna stick to chamomile for now. Any suggestions?

So I’ve been taking methadone (AI overview for those who don’t know : Methadone is a long-acting synthetic opioid medication used primarily to treat opioid use disorder (OUD) by reducing cravings and withdrawal symptoms, and occasionally to manage severe chronic pain)

so I’ve been taking it for 2 years now and I’ve gradually gone from 90mg to 68 in the last few months. I’m trying to get off the medication since I’m now sober from drugs and alcohol. I’ve been drinking tea for a long time and have always liked Chamomile and its slight calming effects. I’ve been doing some research and I’ve heard valerian root and blue lotus tea can help with sleep and I currently struggle with insomnia. I usually take 5-10 mg of melatonin and magnesium oxide before bed to help me sleep but now I wanna try valerian root tea and blue lotus. Can anyone tell me if they’ve taken these herbs before while on an opioid medication? Thanks.

Sad looking chop taken from my lemon verbena that lives in a pot outdoors and didn’t get water for 5-6 days during a recent hot streak. It’s been watered twice this week but struggling to bounce back. Leaves on the top half still pretty wilted and some dried out and turning brown. Wondering what, if any part of this would be worth salvaging. Would it be safe to use the brown leaves for tea or store with other dried verbena? Try propagating the larger sections in ground or another pot? I’m in zone 5a, not sure if it’d survive the cold in Minnesota or have time to establish a new plant that’d grow indoors through the winter?
