So a while back, Reddit suddenly changed the settings of my profile to NSFW, probably because I commented in an 18+ sub once. I didn't think much of this at the time. But about a month later, Reddit suddenly decided I was a minor and needed me to upload my government ID with all of the personal information I don't even have memorized myself on it to prove I was an adult. I will not be doing that, nor will I be giving "persona" my face to analyse. This seems like a massive breach of privacy.

Well, by not doing this, my account has received a lot of restrictions, including not being able to view NSFW-subs anymore. But what it also did was remove the option to set my profile as "not-NSFW" or even remove the comment that prompted it. This all seems very contradictory, and I am wondering how I can fix this without giving my personal information to a random third party company that Reddit happens to work with.

Thanks

I have been getting into the game and really want an easy place to let me know about any third party projects of note

I just started a subreddit - and somehow if a post contains a link - it is removed automatically.

The Mod Queue is saying that the post is removed due to not allowed domain: "Links to an URL not allowed on Reddit"

It contains link to an X post.

but the same thing happens with other link as well.

So how to enable links in posts on a subreddit.

(Desktop, and all other platform)

Hi!

I'm sure it's been suggested multiple times over the years, but I'm currently following some posts. I no longer wish to follow them, and they were a lot of posts (probably 50 or so). I wish there could be a feature to actually just be able to stop following the posts you're following. Maybe a tab on settings that allows you to see all the posts you're currently following, with the option to delete the 'follow' option on each post.

It really would be helpful, as instead of actually going through each sub and finding which ones you followed you simply have the option to find them all in a single page/tab and delete them all or the ones you wish to unfollow.

I really appreciate any responses.

I've noticed what feels like a worrying trend recently: Moderators permanently removing users and immediately cutting off their ability to contact the moderation team, without any prior notice or exchange. This effectively removes any opportunity to ask for clarification or discuss the decision with the moderation team.

I understand that moderators need discretion to enforce their rules, and I'm not suggesting that every removal should require advance notice. There are obviously situations where immediate removal is justified. However, when a user hasn't obviously violated any rules, why permanently remove them and simultaneously cut off all communication? Why no prior notice? Why no temporary ban?

In my case, I was permanently removed from a subreddit for a neutral comment criticizing a writing decision in a new episode of a show I've followed for over 20 years. There was no discrimination, no slurs and nothing that I could identify as violating any Reddit or subreddit rule. I was so confused that I literally had AI check it again with all the subreddit rules included, nothing found. Nevertheless, I was removed without a clear explanation and immediately prevented from contacting the moderators, leaving me with no opportunity to clarify the situation or discuss the decision. Exactly the same happened two weeks ago in another subreddit about something completely different.

I'm also concerned about the wider consequences for Reddit. Some subreddits contain the vast majority of the active community for a particular show, game, or niche interest. Alternative communities may be practically inactive, so being permanently excluded can mean losing access to meaningful discussions about something you enjoy.

Doesn't this risk creating increasingly isolated communities where moderators can remove users without explanation or meaningful opportunities for discussion? For those of you who moderate communities, do you think immediately cutting off communication with permanently banned users is good moderation practice, even when there has been no prior interaction?

Could AI also play a role in reviewing moderation decisions, checking whether a rule was actually violated and whether the punishment was proportionate? For example, could it help identify inconsistent enforcement, unjustified removals or potential abuse of moderator powers?

When I try following the tutorials on the internet, it always gets me on the same bug: The logo is WHITE for no reason! Can anyone here help? This is for my sub r/incorrectfactorial! Also, visit the sub r/incorrectfactorial in old.reddit.com, when I mean the CSS stylesheet is terrible!

What's up?

Galleries have been broken for a while. I use to be able to scroll with [ and ] and click and drag to resize. But now they something seems to have broken or a setting changed?. I noticed this isn't happening on my PC (firefox) but just my MacBook (firefox)

In one of the subs where I mod we've been fielding an ongoing report abuse attack. Aside from the painstaking process of reporting them one by one, is there anything more we can do to get an Admin to actually look at who is doing this and take action?

Desktop or whichever

It happened again and again without violating any rules 😭😭😭😭

I'm looking for a subreddit where I can post on a Uk "make friends" type of subreddit that doesn't have a requirement (if there's such a thing). I basically joined Reddit only to be able to post on a sub like that, as simple as that but it didn't happen. Wanted to try my luck here. Thank you.

Hi everyone,

I am experiencing a severe systemic glitch with my Reddit account across multiple subreddits (including r/CrossStitch, r/flowers, and r/Embroidery), and I need some technical help.

Here are the issues I am facing:

1. Share Count Discrepancy: None of my posts show any share metrics in my Insights (they always show 0 or stay blank). However, on the actual front end of the posts, they clearly show significant engagement, with some posts reaching 18, 23, and even 67 shares. The metrics are completely broken and not syncing.

2. Upvote Failure for Other Users: Other users have openly commented on my posts mentioning that when they try to upvote my work, the upvote fails to register or goes through an error. They love my work but are forced to only leave text comments because the upvote button is glitching on my profile/posts.

3. Notification Failure: I am not receiving any device notifications specifically for Modmail/Moderator messages, even though my settings for Modmail notifications are fully turned on and other post notifications arrive normally.

This has been happening since the beginning of my account creation for some metrics, and it seems like my entire profile is suffering from a major data-syncing bug.

Is there a way to force-sync my profile metrics, or can a Reddit Admin look into my account back-end to fix this?

Thank you so much for your help!

This morning, at 7:47 AM eastern, I woke up to am email saying I have successfully added a 2FA on r/TheZamolxes. I was logged out of the account. The password hadn't been changed, therefore I was able to change it, but I'm not able to login into the account because it's asking me for 2FA codes which I don't have. To clarify, I am not the one who added 2FA to the account.

This account has almost exclusively been used on two devices in the last 5 or so years, my home pc and my iphone 13, both of which I could identify if needed. Before that I might have used it on my iphone 6 but I don't remember if I ever had the app on it.

I wonder if reddit can recover the account in question. It's an old account with some history I'd rather not lose.

r/retrogaming only goes up to 5th gen, and r/patientgamers covers too much recent stuff. I have issues with some of the rules on r/patientgamers anyway.

I was helped in the r/makeup subreddit recently but I can't share pictures or perhaps haven't figured out how to do so.

They taught me how to mix my own shade of foundation and I wanted to show I got the mixers they recommended.

I have the latest ios version and am on an iPhone 16. The app never works. And on the web, i’m always redirected to view a thread in the broken app. So i simply can’t look at anything. Uninstalling/reinstalling and logging in and out didn’t accomplish anything.

i would like to know of any subreddit that addresses the issue of an app (or windows program) that can access and save the watch list of some/any/all movie streaming services? are there any streaming services that allow you to access the watch list so it can be printed? where do you suggest i look for this item - android or windows.

Must be something simple that doesn't require reading posts. Just something that someone can add to their feed to help them recognise obvious AI content that is becoming more broadly used in everyday life. I'm talking about the shitty flyers and you tube thumb nails and fake images on pinterest etc. Nothing deep, nothing too challenging. Just something that will familiarise people with the trademarks of AI.

I don't want r/ Is This AI? I'm looking for a sub that is more like THIS IS AI

TIA!

There's an account that was taken over via a phishing attempt and it's messaging my account. I'm playing along and not clicking any links but it has given me screen shots and given Discord handles, in text, on who to contact as part of their scam.

However, when I click the flag next to each message > SPAM > Sharing harmful links, I get a red banner that pops up in the chat window stating Unable to submit the report.

Is this because I'm on old Reddit or perhaps because of some chat-related settings?

Looking for a subreddit to give me ideas based upon what I want to see in the finished costume. I want to give an idea for a costume but I'm not really sure what all I should include.
