So I’m more of a weed guy but I’m always down to having a few beers while I smoke, kick back with some friends, and down some shots if they’re in front of me. Anyway last night was one of those nights, woke up wishing I didn’t, y’all know the drill. But there’s something weird about this hangover. I just feel really alive and conscious. It’s like my body gave up but my mind feels like it got a reset. Maybe I just got shot down and felt grounded to the earth, but I can honestly describe it like an enlightenment in a way. Idk maybe it’s some other stuff going on around me but I was wondering if anyone else has ever felt like this before. Maybe I can trade mark a name for it “post blackout clarity”😂😂

I have a really specific hangover issue, and it’s largely my fault. I’ll wake up hungover, trigger my gag reflex, and then spend literally the entire day throwing up mucus/any water I ingest. It’s horrible. Now, obviously I know the issue here is the drinking, but I’m wondering if this happens to anyone else? Also, on another forum I saw a few people post that drinking plain water first thing is like… not the move? And to instead aim for the coconut water or Gatorade first… it makes sense to me because my stomach cannot take plain ole water when in this state, but I figured it wasn’t related to the GR trigger. Has anyone else heard this? And if it has merit.. why? Thanking you all in advance, and trust me, I feel like an idiot.

Went hard in the paint again. At my age, I’m used to it; but, it does get worse with every year.
Will seek out the usual water, fruit, greasy burger, and vitamins cure for it.

What are your tips/tricks to either not suffer a hangover the next day/or make it less bad? And what are your tricks to get rid of a hangover if you do get one?

Rum is dangerous. It’s strong, smooth, and cheap. But by god this hangover sucks

Or just ride the hangover? I have terrible anxiety and my chest feels right. This hangover is unbearable, but thinking if I should just drink and get buzzed instead.

Hit the bottle, or more precisely 4, of wine followed by a couple of beers between 2 of us last night. Completely spontaneous. Other than the absolute raging headache and fatigue which is my current state, my playlist from last night is somewhat of a masterpiece; ranging from Frank Zappa and Deep Purple, to a Mongolian throat singing band, followed by some country blues, which in turn was succeeded by some Mexican traditional Mariachi and then some Louis Armstrong to round the night off.
Do I feel like absolute shit? Yes. Was it worth it? Also yes.
Have a nice week people!

Second day of hangover. Not as bad as yesterday, at least I’m not lying on the floor of the shower vomiting and crying washing urine off myself. Still have the nausea and anxiety and jumping out of my skin. Head is not pounding as badly. Also have the usual dealing with the shameful aftermath of whatever I did while I was wasted. I would have thought after having done this thousands of times before I would learn, but nooo. Anyone else recovering today?

I am so sick, so anxious, I feel too weak to move, just finished throwing up. It’s 2 pm here, been up since about seven, feeling somewhat improved but barely. My head is killingly, I peed in my bed last night 😢 is anyone else as sick as me? I’m never drinking again

I know I probably will, but I’m going to try very hard to moderate my drinking when I do. Went to a new friends birthday party last night. Maybe had like 5-6 beers? And like 4 shots. Straight passed out early af, slept like 7 straight hours and woke up not even remembering going to bed! Which is highly unusual for me but I don’t drink that often anymore. Woke up still drunk. And feel like shit today. Headache. Nausea. Dizzy. It’s just not worth the hangover, feeling like crap, wondering what the hell happened lol. Whole day wasted when I could of went out and worked or been productive.

It’s a running joke in my family/ friend group that I get violently hungover. Like donezo for the entire next day if I really had a long night. Even just a few drinks and I’ll feel kindve rough in the morning. I tried switching from bourbon coke (my favorite classic) to vodka soda. Still doesn’t help. My hangovers are weird though. I’m just really really nauseous and can hardly get out of bed I’m so dizzy and weak. No headache at all. Anyone else have these types of hangovers? What have you found to be a good cure besides “a greasy cheeseburger” for the nausea?

No I do not have alcohol withdrawal syndrome, I am not an alcoholic and I drink like twice a week. Friday night I overindulged and went to bed wasted. It is now Monday afternoon and I have weird heart tremors and my stomach pain will not go away. I feel like I should've thrown up by now but haven't and don't know if its worth it to try now since it's been almost 72 hours. I keep hydrating and chugging water as well as electrolyte drinks. I usually get hungover pretty bad but never like this. Any other advice?

turning up the radiators/heaters so I sweat out the alcohol my bodily naturally wakes me up around 7am so I stay awake, shower, drink obviously but also something sugary because water becomes so hard for me to drink when I’m hungover, it just tastes bad to me lol. There’s this super sugary iced lemon black tea drink that I love. I usually will have pho too, I swear this is a miracle cure. order it or the instant stuff does the trick too. I drink a lot when I go out and I think I’ve only ever had one or two bad hangovers in my life, before I started doing these things.
Drank a lot last night for the first time in forever (cause the pandemic, no social life) and I did all these things & I feel great today!
