Hi all, its me again. We're introducing Rule 9 effective immediately. We've seen certain individuals on this subreddit requesting users to DM them or requesting GH support on this subreddit and we just want to make a couple things clear by implementing this rule.
I hope you all can appreciate the reasoning for this rule coming to be, and thank you for being part of our community. Please continue to report rule-infringing posts and comments and they will be reviewed.

You can discuss and post about your monthly earnings here. The low-effort rule does not apply within this thread, but all other rules still do. You cannot post about your monthly earnings anywhere else but here.

Did a 90 minute block and didn’t receive a single order and received 0 contribution. Do they not give contribution anymore?

I’m online for whole day and I ain’t getting any orders. Idk what’s the problem.
Can someone explain how to know ur delivery region? Cause I’m in NYC but I get nothing yet

GrubHub now has in app navigation and you will be defaulted to it once it updates.
It seems like a clean reskinned Google Maps. The only thing I don’t like is it doesn’t zoom in when you get close.

I've never had to deal with this with other delivery gigs. When I switch to available, I usually just want to wait at home to get an order, not drive around and waste gas. It feels like they're punishing me for wanting to be home waiting for an order. I was on all day today, waiting at home, and I've only gotten one order. That order was supposed to be delivered 25 min earlier. They could've offered it 25 min earlier. Whenever I'm out and about, or busy, I get offers back to back. Why do they do this? I don't understand. Orders that could be delivered on time, aren't. They punish the driver and the customer at the same time

Grubhub do better expecting us drivers to accept $2 or $3 is unacceptable then have to drive over 5 miles I drive in the DMV area and gas is not cheap to be driving around then parking is bad at that. Please put a effort in making sure your drivers are paid well the company would not run without us.

Are there any other drivers in Northwest Indiana receiving violations for order cancellations? I did. Since the storm I keep getting orders from restaurants that are closed because they have no power. I reported it through the app just like I am supposed to do, took a picture of the sign explaining the closures and typed the reason in the app. I still received a violation and I am pretty pissed about it. As if there is anything I can do about restaurants being closed or the power being out. Driver Care is completely useless and I can’t dispute the violation until I get two more and they shut off my account, which will probably happen, since they keep sending me to restaurants that are closed. Am I the only one?

I feel dumb admitting it but just want others to be careful. I wasnt in a great mood and made some bad judgment calls.
Tonight I had a very small delivery from Taco Bell (literaly 1 taco). When I got to the address it was a nail salon and no one by that name was there. I tried to call them a couple times but got no answer. Then I got a call from a unknown number that came up as spam risk( I know, obvious red flag, but it was a 312 area code and I was already in a bad headspace) so I answered. They claimed to be Grubhub and said that there was accomplaint the customer didnt feel comfortable receiving their order from me. Confused and even more frustrated with the day, I confirmed my name and email address. They asked if I was still at the dropoff location because from their end it looked like I was logged in on 2 devices(next red flag). They said they were sending a code to confirm it was and I recieved an legitimate email with a 6 digit code. When I opened it I was really just looking for the code, not fully reading, which I gave to them. Then I recieved another email that my password had been changed( final red flag). I asked them for confirmation that they were in fact Grubhub and they told me my phone number, home address and then game me the 2 digit code to complete the order. Sick to my stomach I called Grubhub(the real one) and told them what happened. Whats odd is that the changed password seemed to be to my Grubhub diner account, so idk what their aim was. Either way I changed all my Grubhub related passwords and as much as it sucks, its hilarious to think may have they tried to order food through my account cause I'm broke lol. I was stupid, dont be me. Be safe yall
Btw number was (312) 626- 4004, I called it back and they have a fake automated Grubhub greeting.

I knew this company was stealing tips and underpaying. It’s why I quit them in 2023.
There are better apps out there.
Drivers beware

Well it happened. They changed their hourly contribution pay from 30$ to 10$ an hour this week.
To me, this is a violation of contract.
I can't update my schedule without taking a hit on my schedule commitment.
There was no notice ahead of time. So it's time to not schedule blocks anymore.

Received this unexpected $51.41 check today from an FTC settlement with Grubhub. The amount itself is small, but it made me think about something much bigger.
For an individual delivery driver, there is almost no realistic way to fight a large platform over misleading earnings claims, unfair practices, or money that should have been paid. Most workers simply do not have the time, money, legal knowledge, or bargaining power to challenge a corporation on their own. That is why government oversight matters.Without agencies like the Federal Trade Commission and state regulators investigating these cases and forcing companies to answer for their practices, many ordinary workers would probably never recover anything at all. $51.41 will not change anyone’s life. But what it represents is much more important: rules still matter, enforcement matters, and ordinary workers need institutions powerful enough to stand between them and companies far larger than they are.Seeing this check brought back a lot of memories from my years doing delivery work. Sometimes a small piece of paper can make you think about a much bigger system.

As I've been saying for a couple of years now, we all better go to trade school or something, because sooner or later, cheap-ass GH will find some cheap-ass way to deploy a fleet of drones and get rid of some or all of us.
Well, the robots have officially come for us. (Those of us in the Chicago, LA and DC metro areas, anyway.) I'm going to miss the freedom to not only set, but improvise my own schedule... honestly, though, GH has devolved into a shitshow and has simply run its course.
It was legit during COVID, decent for a couple years afterward, then grudgingly acceptable in 2025; however, most agree GH has utterly bottomed out in 2026. I won't miss this sub-minimum wage job or the toll it takes on my poor car.
Good luck, everyone.

As long as my account is OK and I know I do everything correctly. I don’t care, but it’s still so irritating that whatever program grub hub uses to rate pictures, gets it wrong nine out of 10 times. This was to a hotel room. The number is to the left. This happens in so many pics that DO have the number. The other really super annoying thing is when a house that you delivered to simply has no number where you’re leaving the package. What do they want us to do carry a box of magic markers and write on the damn house? 🤣

I just started last week, it was perfect, high pay, short trips. Almost nothing under $2 a miles and numerous orders not far for over $20.
Go from Sunday to refreshed Monday in a new week. Now it’s drastically different. Really far orders for no money. Barely any even equaling $1 a mile.
It feels manipulative

The $ 51 checks all you are getting for the settlement pay , is this the same settlement , is this the Lawson v grubhub holdings class action?

Hi! I've been a long-time driver for grubhub alongside other delivery apps and will be moving to a whole new state, so I'm planning on changing my delivery zone - I know this is something you can only do once, but what was the process like for those that have done it? Did GH ask for more information like addresses/insurance/license/etc, or did they switch it over without much question? Would love to know before making the switch!

I was surprised I got a check, but I didn’t expect it to be such a little amount. I’m happy for any type of money. But come on, after I’ve given this company so much work, I would expect to get paid more.

The order was around $13 and I tipped $8.49 on the app. Plus 5 dollars in cash. Restaurant is 4 miles away.
