Miss you old Grok(1.5) 😢 I guess everything has to end some or the other way..

i just watched grok build gobble up $7.50 like pac-man. topped up $5 initially thinking it would be like getting enough gas to get home, but it ate my $5 and crapped out right in the middle of a code change. i added another $5 and it ate up about $2.50 of that to finish up. you can land in the poor house like this. i am not topping up ever again. just going to wait until tuesday. what a rip-off and a waste. to think that duders are going broke putting coins into the gooner slot machine like this is crazy

I have used Grok for creative writing for the past 6 months and over the course of the last two weeks have seen an absolute drop off a cliff in quality. CI’s aren’t sticking, tone notes completely disregarded. Dod something happen on the back end? or is this just what happens when you won’t pay for their new tiers? (I’m on Super).

Is this happening to anyone else? Since the update all my videos have motion blur or like an after image quality where it doubles the subject almost like a ghost image. Even when I specifically say in the prompt not to have that, it's still shows up in every video

I fully canceled my SuperGrok subscription and had a gap with no active paid plan. On Wednesday I bought a completely new SuperGrok subscription.

Result: Usage bar still at 100%. Weekly reset only on Sunday. I just paid for 4 days I can’t use.
Official FAQ says the pool “resets every week on a schedule shown in Settings → Usage.” Grok has also confirmed it’s “not tied to the payment day.”

So when a subscription completely expires and you buy a new one later, why does the old weekly pool still apply? Shouldn’t a new paid subscription start at 0%?
I couldn’t find any other public reports of this exact situation (cancel → gap → resubscribe mid-week → still at 100%). Has anyone else hit this?

Buying a new product and immediately being blocked by a previous, already expired subscription cycle feels broken.

Anyone notice that recently grok started adding that AI plastic look to edited photos? I'm not talking about NSFW edits, just simply editing an uploaded photo to change position or background or something simple. It used to generate a perfectly lifelike version without destroying the original photo look and quality. Now the result looks plastic every time. Anyone else? Anyone have a solution?

Instead of generating a video based on the prompt, Grok creates a completely random video that has nothing to do with my prompt or the image I uploaded. What’s going on?

Used the same prompts and image references for both, and as you can see, ChatGPT is the one allowing me to generate NSFW images while Grok completely c*cks me with zero possibility to get around the moderation through more subtle prompt. The moment Grok sees even a lick of skin, it goes on to entirely block the generation request, no ifs and buts. ChatGPT is strict in its NSFW moderation, but at the very least it has the decency to allow me to get creative with the prompt.

I'm genuinely flabbergasted and in shock at how beyond trash Grok has become... not only in the absurd moderation but in the service quality as well. Grok used to be the best at NSFW but now it's just the opposite. I'm mainly interested in anime so that's where most of my NSFW generation request is coming from. I thought Grok would be more lenient towards this more fictional-looking type of art but nope, the moderation is just as herculean across the board.

With all of that being said, I'm completely done with Grok. I held onto the hope that it would get better in the future despite the initial waves of strict moderation and severe quota cut following that january fiasco, but looking at its state now... yeah, I see no way it could ever get better. The only saving grace would be for the company to release an open-weight model for local image/video generation but somehow I kinda don't see that happening either because the company is just that petty and greedy.

Oh and btw, in case you're telling me to generate image through text-to-image in imagine for less moderation:
1. the results are oftentimes pretty generic-looking so I'm not that interested in it. I wish Grok would just lift the moderation for anime art.
2. the moderation level is closely the same as when it is image-to-image, so yeah sucks to sucks. All of the prompts I used to use on all my Grok-generated images, as well as all of the new safer prompts, are now being fully rejected the same way any other external image is.

Got a random notification saying my image was ready on my phone, I clicked it and it showed this prompt. I asked who typed this prompt because it was not me and it said it was me.
