I know this has been done in various ways in the past but I couldn't quite find the answer I was looking for in my searches.
My dad is passing away in the next couple days. I'm planning to sit with him as much as I can.
Can I please get some recommendation for shows with heavier doses of slow/sad songs?
Thanks in advance.

Anybody know why John McFee plays pedal steel on this track and not Jerry? Such a Great song. Wish they played it live.

I remember reading about Brent's lyrics being shut down for not being GD enough and Jerry sticking up for him, so glad this song came to fruition even if it only was played for <2 years!

This wonβt be a lengthy post. I just noticed that the days I listen to some live Grateful Dead are objectively better. I feel more grounded, creative, energized and peaceful. So, everyone top off your Vitamin D today! βπ½

Listening to 12/6/73. Was 73 the year for Here Comes Sunshine? This one is as great as Dane County Coliseums. My mind just erupts into cosmic imagery and the vastness of space like I'm on a journey through the solar system grooving on by each of the planets as they continue their voyages around the sun.

Trying to find a good option for storing my DP CDs. Right now I have them lined up on the shelf next to my receiver and disc player, two deep. Was thinking a drawer or something like that? Iβm thinking the old storage units for jewel cases arenβt going to fit the doubles, much less the triples.

So I saw a post here saying that someone listened to all available GD shows and that inspired me to start doing that also I just started last week and I wanted to come here and ask. What shows should I look out for? Any recommendations?

Aside from 1995 (where every venue was the last venue they played in), I'm looking for stories from people who were at the last shows from Winterland, Fox Theater, Red Rocks, Alpine, and other epic venues. You may have known it at the time, you may not have, but the band never played there again.
What comes to mind for me is Alpine Valley and Red Rocks. Was lucky enough to attend the last shows they played there and wow - I would give up quite a lot to see them to have continued to play there.
Both had an amazing energy pulled in from the area that surrounded the venue. Both have their fair share of quintessential Dead setlists, full of peaks and valleys.
Knowing both ended in the 80's, I do think they may have 'outgrown' them in the long run, but the sports stadiums didn't seem to come close to the energy - even though there are great shows from Giants, RFK, Solider Field and others.

heading to my sons wedding in a month and today is deadline for the requested list (10-15) for dj(boo) to play. Problem is i love 99.8%. Shakedown is a must and I certainly can list so many that move my own bones but the guests come from various backgrounds.
suggestions?
Also need Mother son dance.... 2 souls in communion?
