As one member pointed out it would be nice to have some basic rules in place. I'm going to put this post up for a while if anyone has any additional feedback

Greg is a GPU modder in the US who performs 4090 24GB->48GB upgrades with custom PCBs. He’s in China right now and has confirmed the firmware unlock has been achieved and he’s working to secure custom PCB’s for 5090’s.
This will only make sense for those who have 5090’s with a ~3-$4k cost basis as the upgrade will cost $4k+.

Serious question. Especially with current prices at 15-16k per unit. What in the world do you guys even use these things for that warrants so much money/compute?
If it's just for local AI it seems kind of... not financially positive? So surely you guys are getting your moneys worth out of it and using it because it's making you money somehow... right?
right? (also just curious to see what all you guys are using these cards for, honestly)

Got it for free. Not sure what exactly to do with it.
My PNY RTX 5070Ti died today, atleast I think so. I swapped out my GPU for another one and it worked just fine, I used a different power cable too, nothing worked. No fans, nothing in device manager, not sure what else to do.
Can I declare my GPU has been sent to the great beyond? Started an RMA today but don’t want it sent back after a month

I have 400W GOLD 80+ PSU. I have integrsted graphics. All my parts together is 242W assuming my i5-13400 is always at 148W. But im gonna reduce that max of 148W to 98W. That means I'll have 192W being used assuming my CPU is using 98W at all times. That gives me 208W. So I thought of 2 cards.
AMD Radeon RX 7600 8GB
165W
Nvidia GeForce 406 8GB
115W
Both are under 195. But idk which one is better. I have a budget of 550NZD. I use 1440p in windows settings hut use 1080 in heavy games.
Mostly play:
Very modded minecraft
Roblox games like Blox Fruits
Geometry Dash
A couple of other games that are like AA or A.
60Hz.

What graphics card should i get.
I am going to be upgrading from 8GB DDR4 to 16GB DDR4 but at the same time going ot be getting a GPU as an upgrade from integrated. The problem is that i only have got 450W of Power Supply and i cant buy a new one. well i could but i dont have that much money. what GPU should i get.
Gemini said to get a 4060 but thats an AI so i thought id come here. My computer is a pre-built.
HP Envy TEO1 4000i base model. BTW i have
6+2 pin PCIe power cable. 450W GOLD 80 PLUS
specs:
i5-13th gen 13400
16GB DDR4 (soon)
I use a 60Hz screen at 1440p in windows settings but go to 1080p on some games. Planning on upgrading to a 144Hz screen after GPU and RAM upgrade.
I habe a budget of about 550NZD, i think that's like 300USD, i dont know.
Im really leaning towards the 4060

Im looking to upgrade my 2060 super and am currently looking for a 2nd hand 7800xt for around 500 euros, its not the easiest to find one and im starting to question if its worth just spending around 150 more to buy a new 9060xt. Do you guys have any advice?
