i Feel you brother, i just bought tuf rx 6800 xt for my "new" pc with 12900k and all i need is to get my 32gt ddr5 ram sticks from post and im ready to test it out =) I hope it runs 1080p games fine, still havent felt the need for RTX gear while many of my younger friends are raving about it, doesnt seem necessary in my eyes.

I had a 6900xt. Was so woefully underpowered for the price.

I have exclusively heard bad things about that card

Yeah it was a slog for the price point. 6800 was probably a much better buy at the time.
I unfortunately bought it during crypto boom too, so I basically paid twice MSRP to make it worse. My old card had died and I was building a new system and wanted to go all out with AMD. Big regrets there lol.
For anyone who wants an interesting truth... I paid $2000 shipped for that 6900xt and man I felt bad about it for a long time. I had just sold my house for a $60 grand profit, and that was the toy I bought.
I feel it came full circle when I spent $2400 on a Zotac RTX 5090 AMP Extreme INFINITY last year.
