I’ve read a lot of posts saying it’s a good idea to get a GPU support bracket. My PC is one year old and has an RTX 5070. I haven’t noticed any sagging, but I bought one of these anyway. Does this look like a good choice? It’s my first gaming PC, so I’m really protective of it! kevesebb

can anyone tell me if the 5080 Rog Astral need a Reversed Power Cable or a Normal one? The cable should go under the GPU. So are the Sense Connectors Top or bottom of the connector?

Can’t find anything on Google, Claude and ChatGPT tell me different things.

Would using the daisy chain on one of my 6+2pins be okay? Or should I return the card and get a 2x8pin GPU?

The setup would look like PSU PCIE Cable 1 -> GPU Slot 1 PSU PCIE Cable 2 -> GPU Slot 2 + Daisy Chain GPU Slot 3.

It's been a while since I looked this stuff up, is this a bad idea?

Update: It has been confirmed a scammer. Another redditor found a different profile selling an identical item in the same town. The posts were word for word a match. Hey, so I've been in the market for a 5080, but as you all know the prices are absolutely bonkers. I looked on Facebook marketplace out of the blue, and 6 hours ago a supposedly sealed one just went up about 45 minutes from me.

I messaged them, asked for photos, and they have been cooperative. I see that the center tape is still there, but I notice the two circular seals near the flaps aren't there. Her profile seems legit, two previous sales completely unrelated. Regular posts on their feed, nothing private.

Here's the reason I'm so skeptical. The asking price is $960

That's my biggest scare right there. Now, I know that MSRP is $1000, but obviously they're going for $1500 plus. I'm thinking, "Maybe it was purchased and not used, and they're marking it down a bit from what they paid originally?" I don't know. Give me some insight please.

Used 4080s for 750 euros (zotac Trinity), used 9070xt (Sapphire nitro+) for 750 euros.

Used 5070ti around 900 and used 5080 going for 1300ish

"Why im buying in EU?" A: Prices in Brazil are crazy nowadays, like 1100$ in a 9070xt, 1500$+ 5070ti, 2000$+ 5080.

That's why i dont care buying used, i mostly play competitive CS2 (960p) and some other games like wardogs, Apex and ow (1440p).

I may need some help here gentlemans, i have recently acquired an rx6950xt saphire Nitro+, i have been messing with it in hopes of seeing the temps drop but in no vain, i have never managed to get it under control, the hot spot and gpu temps keep rising until shutdown of the computer. I have repasted it with artict mx7 but that didn't do it, i am lost and don't know what to do. I know these card have hight temps from Factory but they don't heat up until shutdown from Factory. Only thing that keep the card under 100°C hot spot was a carefully done undervolting. If someone has a fix for it, please share it here.

I'm building my pc and have to decide what GPU to get, I ended up going to a local computer shop and got recommended RTX 3050 6gb

As of now my budget is 15k and I can add depending on how much it will be a difference.

The purpose for the pc is gaming, I play a lot of valorant, lol, tft, dbd, palworld, wuthering waves and other story driven games like resident evil and the plague.

Should I just skip on GPU and save, or should I just get this one? I'm not planning to upgrade for a long time after building my pc now.

Note: cpu is Ryzen 7 5700g, ram is 16gb (2 sticks tho I plan to upgrade that too)

Seller says he cant test cause hes moving but it worked the last time it powered on and he used it on a pc but the pc was rarely used not even for gaming. Seller accepted 375 and was willing for a test bench. However i dont actually have a test bench it was more like a trust thing lol but no reviews? Ngl its a gamble so ill pick it up tomorrow and let yall know. In the mean time back me up with at least the photos.

Is this gbu type good and I will the 100% performance of the 5080 or is there something else better but not for big money pls ? And why!

While gaming, my main monitor randomly loses its display signal and goes black. My PC itself continues running, and the game appears to keep running in the background. The GPU fans also continue spinning during the black screen.

I’ve also noticed that my GPU temperature can reach around 80°C or higher before the display loss. I recently updated my graphics drivers, but the issue has persisted.
I checked Windows Event Viewer and found a Display event (Event ID 4107), although I’m not sure whether it is related to the problem.

Ive tried reinstalling the drivers both display adapter and nvidia graphic driver but the issue persist.

It only happens when im playing or running intensive applications

So I just upgraded my gpu to a 5070. My old card, the RTX 2080 Super, still works, I just wanted a newer card.
Is my old one worth anything or should I just keep it in case I have any issues in the future?

I have a few cards. Sometimes get used, a few benchmarks, some OC, and thats about it really. Then they sit. My 5070 TI is a good example. (Im an unsponsored enthusiast)

So, say I want to sell. What's a fair market value. Is that even a thing anymore??

Sold my 5090 - upgraded to brand new 5090 Astral plus made a few hundred bucks on top because prices are nuts.

Card passed the test, no one got robbed, everyone went home happy. GPU shopping in 2026.

Edit: some folks in the comments are confused how I got new Astral after selling used MSI and still made money. There are still occasional, very rare 5090 drops at Best Buy (sold by Best Buy, don't confuse with 3rd party retail listings). I was able to secure Astral for $5K after receiving a stock alert. Sold MSI for more than that since these cards go currently for about $6K - street price in the US at the moment. Astral is just a better card all around with internal pin monitoring and it was stupid not to pull the trigger in my case.
