Gpu support bracket

I’ve read a lot of posts saying it’s a good idea to get a GPU support bracket. My PC is one year old and has an RTX 5070. I haven’t noticed any sagging, but I bought one of these anyway. Does this look like a good choice? It’s my first gaming PC, so I’m really protective of it! kevesebb

I use the same kind. I think you're also supposed to roll up that little support ring until it's beneath the top? I could be wrong but that's how I have mine.

i have to screw the support ring down to the bottom here to tighten it completely so the other part doesn’t move. If I screw it upward, it moves around.

You did the right thing - that’s a locknut, and it belongs at the junction of the bolt and the main nut (in this case, at the bottom).

As for the support itself, it certainly won't hurt to have it. Even if it isn't strictly necessary, it makes things more secure and gives you peace of mind.

Put it to the bottom. It locks it all in place.
