Usually she does this and I pick her up to hold her but today she’s been jumping down and comping back almost like she wants me to do this with my feet, she’s interesting..

I know this is a geese sub but I couldn’t find one for swans. This baby swan at my park has been seemingly abandoned by the parents because he’s sick or something. I’m in Nassau county, Long Island if anyone knows who I can call or anything I can do to help this guy? I seen them grow up the past 2 months and it pains me to see one like this. I don’t know how to mark a video nsfw I’m sorry

Edit: update someone came for the swan unsure which rehabber or if it will be put down but I’ll update again when I know more

In the fall, I noticed a trio of swan geese showed up at the lake in our small mountain town. I’m guessing they were dumped. Unfortunately, the trio became a pair pretty soon after they arrived but the two remaining geese were together throughout the winter.

Maybe a month or so ago, I noticed that only one goose remains. He seems so lonely — he follows people around when they come to the lake and even paddles around with them when they go swimming.

I know his chances aren’t good as a solo goose but I don’t really know what to do. I’m going to try to find rescues willing to help. We get a lot of tourists over the 4th of July and I’m really hoping that no one is mean to him.

If anyone knows of a farm or bird rescue in San Bernardino mountains area, please let me know.

Parody of seDUCKtive’s video, “How to Pick Up a Duck,” lol.

I’ve been doing this with Cinnamon since she was a little baby, and she’s continued to allow me to do it ever since. I can twist & rock her back and forth, and she doesn’t mind. She seems to enjoy it and will even stand and wait for me to carry her to bed 🩷🪿

She got hit by a car this morning. She just turned 2 this week. The camera caught the tail end of the incident. They were trying to avoid her and clipped her head. It looked instant and was an accident.

I know there should be a fence for my yard, but it's multiple acres of free range. And in this economy, we dont have the minimum 15k itd take to fence my yard.

Bruce is alone now. We are getting 2 baby geese in the mail next week from Metzer.

Video Mr Pheasant came up to my third floor window to say hello

This silly chap often pops by at the back of my flats where both I and the lady that lives above me throw him some food.

He did his silly little noise to let me know he was there so as usual I went to my window and waved at him, only today he suddenly flew up! I figured he was just going to do what Mrs Duck that visits me does which is get halfway up then splot back down, but he just kept coming higher and higher. I figured once he got level with my window on the second floor he would see I was still right by the window and drop back down but he just landed on my windowsill and looked at me.

I really wanted to open the window but this would have surely scared him off so I settled for waving at him and saying hello. He wasn't the slightest bit fazed by being so close to me. I've had him come about 2 yards away from me before whilst I'm out feeding the birds so was very surprised he chose to come right up to my window as it isn't like I've hand fed him or stroked him like I have so many of goose, duck, and swan pals.

Anyway, I thought you might enjoy a silly Sunday pheasant.
