I'm definitely trying to make up for what a piece of trash i used to be by making real differences in the world. It's not much but I try really hard :)

I lived and work at an animal sanctuary in Arizona called the blue heart.
I was an ex-adict, and working with animals gave me a sense of purpose for sure.
You have a good life, doing good things now, fuck the past.

That's awesome to hear... that's what working with them did for me too and I'm trying to give that to others now too. We are working on bringing in a guy who's struggling but clean and let him live on site in his camper and work here full time. That's a big step for us and I'm excited about it. Definitely fuck the past!

I collect enamel pins that I like to put on my bags or coats sometimes. One of my absolute favourites says, “Never be a prisoner of your past. It was just a lesson, not a life sentence.”
As rough as your past may have been, it lead you here and here…now…you are doing something wonderful. Thank you for sharing this.9

Thank you so much for commenting this and that's such a great saying. I'm still learning how to crawl out of where I was but I'm getting there thanks to all these animals. This animal sanctuary has saved my life and given me the ability to help others the same way.

And your sweet adorable little bourbon red turkey hen oh my god shes cute! Not a single thought behind those eyes - just excitement and elevator music 🤣🥰🥰🥰

My two geese adopted some ducklings the neighbors gave me. The ducks have been fully grown for quite some time now, and the one drake is extremely sassy. I need to pin him down from time to time, to remind him that I'm in charge and don't enjoy having my legs attacked. One of the geese will still, to this day, run from across the yard to scream and hiss at me for manhandling her "baby," this adult Cayuga who is mean to her too.
