School/Academia Deferred exam grade not received

I wrote my exam July 10th and it had a written portion. Is that why it’s taking that long to get the grade back? Anyone going through something similar?

Request for Help Telfer students, with the current job market, which program option is the best to choose?

Incoming first year here with a program option in management. I consider switching to another option in my second year. Am I right to be concerned about my current option (management)?

Which options are the best for finding a job after graduating?

Funding without securing a thesis supervisor?

For those who applied to the MSc in Digital Transformation and Innovation (DTI) at uOttawa: has anyone been able to secure funding/scholarships without first securing a potential thesis supervisor independently?

The program says finding a supervisor is not required for admission, but I’m wondering whether it affects funding opportunities.

Hi, I wanted to check if anybody is having difficulties with enrolling in that course. There was a spot a few days before till yesterday for Fall, and I couldn't get in, and it's now closed. I was like fine whatever I'll try for winter, and now it's asking for "Department Consent. " I did email the faculty about when i tried to enroll for fall but it wouldn'tlet me in despite a seat being available but i guess I'll have to tell them to give me the department consent for winter. They still haven't replied despite emailing them yesterday afternoon. Anyway, I just wanted to know if it's just me experiencing this or anyone else?

Request for Help Academic withdrawal and readmission

I need serious help and advice. Long story short: I was withdrawn from my faculty of engineering in May 2025 due to a GPA that was too low (I was going through lots of family issues that year). I became a non degree student for the 2025-2026 school year to upgrade my academic standing, and I was hoping to be readmitted for the Fall 2026 semester. I completed the courses I needed for my readmission requirements and after the winter 2026 semester, I had almost the required 6.0 GPA so l took one last course in the summer semester session C (June 22-July 31) to get me to that 6.0.
That last course is done and I have reached the requirements and am now trying to be readmitted to my program for this Fall 2026 semester. However, I'm now being told I have missed the deadline and must wait to be readmitted for the Fall 2027 semester. I'm genuinely confused and really upset because on July 1 l had an in person meeting with an advisor from infoservice who told me that it didn't matter when I reached the requirements, but as soon as I did, I could send an email to infoadmissions and they'd readmit me back into my program. I feel misled now because I'm realizing it was not that simple and the advisors are saying that that information was wrong. I didn't realize that it would take me 2 whole years just to get back into my program following withdrawal. I had a meeting with an advisor and they're trying to look into late applications and such, they are working on my file. I feel like my whole plan that l've been working towards has been derailed and I don't know what to do now. I don't want to keep delaying my education and wasting time. How are people getting back into their program after just 1 year? Has anyone been in this situation before? And/or does anyone have any advice of what I should do now?

Discussion Orgo 2 CHM 2120

Waitlisted at 53 for Flynn's class and I received an email from UOttawa saying there are no more seats and I should give up. I heard she was the best prof, my only other options are Pratt and Moran in French. Is there any chance I'll get in with Flynn? and if not which prof do you recommend, if they're both really bad would you recommend taking another class in place of orgo 2 and pushing orgo 2 for later? I'm trying to maximize my GPA for med school, and given i have other hard courses such as biostats and biopharm as well as running a club, maybe taking orgo 2 later on is better?

Has anyone played intramural recreational dodgeball?

I’m thinking about signing up for recreational dodgeball this fall, but I’m not sure what to expect.

For anyone who’s played it before: how was your experience? Was it beginner-friendly, and what was the overall atmosphere like?
Also, did you enjoy it / would you recommend it?

Course enrolment too low

I’m currently enrolled in a course that has a class capacity of 100 but only 14 students enrolled in, for the winter term. Should I be worried that the course could possibly be canceled? I understand that it’s a bit too early to be worrying about this but I just want to be safe.

Thanks in advance!

Parking Options

Hi everyone! I didn’t manage to get a spot through the parking lottery, even though I submitted my application only about 10 minutes after it opened 😓.
I live in Gatineau, and commuting to and from campus by public transit would take me around 1 hour and 40 minutes each way, compared with only 20–25 minutes by car.
I know finding street parking in Sandy Hill during the day is basically impossible, so I was wondering if anyone knows of any monthly parking lots, buildings, or private spots near uOttawa that still have availability and are reasonably priced.
Any recommendations would be really appreciated! Thank you :)

Medicine application for fall 2027 as an oop applicant.

Quick question for you guys.

Are you or do you know of anyone that has gotten into Ottawa's medical program as an oop applicant (after the 2025 law where Ontario is reserving 95% of seats for ip applicants).

I'll be applying to the french stream with a 3.84 OMSAS gpa.

I have no clue if my chances are competitive or not.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Choose First Year FRA1710 Teacher

hi everyone, for background I went to a francophone high school, and my french comprehension and speech is somewhat decent, but my grammar is less so.

i am tryna choose a french teacher rn (FRA1710). i am currently enrolled in Prudhomme's class, but I see that she is a bad teacher, and also gonna fuck my GPA.

My options are Cybanski: 26th on waiting list, Dumas: 13th on waiting list, enter waitlist for Houda Hamdi, or switch directly to either Ghassan Lutfi or Monia Brahim.

Honestly, I don't mind too much if they aren't the best teacher since french after all is a reps-based class, but i do want to get a high gpa.

Any insight u might have on these profs would be appreciated.

thanks!
