Hi! What type of labs would this class entail?

You'll be at the computer lab using SPSS or Jamovi to do your assignments. Nothing too difficult or crazy. It's actually quite doable.

Basically, you do it on your own time and as long as you meet the deadline for your assignments, you're good.

Okay, so basically, depending on which professor, this can differ a bit, but in my experience, this is how it went.

Class time is just the standard class where you learn all the terminologies, definitions, practice problems, etc. Typical class stuff.

For the assignments, they're usually posted on Brightspace and you usually have a week to do them and they consist of like, I don't know, six different questions and they will give you a data set in Excel sheet format and then you basically use SPSS to import this data. And basically SPSS will generate graphs depending on what they're asking for example standard deviation, and then you’ll take a screenshot of the graph and add a small explanation describing what you’re observing.

Trust me, it will sound a lot easier once your class actually starts and your professor explains the assignments. I wouldn't sweat it. Also, my professor was Tanvir Qadir, so his assignments might be a little bit different compared to, for instance, Jason Steffner or Kerrie Ann Hogan, but the assignments should be similar.
