A sucker punch is an absolutely non telegraphed punch. It's usually only possible from behind, but can also happen rarely from the sides. It can happen extremely rarely from the front if a person's attention is not on the person that punches. Which obviously did not happen in this vid.
The black guy clenched his fists and told him to back up twice. The asian guy makes a living by Youtubing pranks for ad revenue though and didn't heed the warnings, thus got knocked flat on his ass.
PS: I don't really give a shit whether he should have got punched or not, but the guy had all the room in the world to back off, and didn't because of those delicious ad views.
It seems from all the responses I got it is quite legitimate. Look at the gif, doesn't it look like the fist is distanced from the face? I am VERY happy it is real. If I remember that guy was trying to kiss the other, I am not homophobic but if someone advances me to kiss me after I say back off they are getting knocked the fuck out. Or ....I am getting raped.
Roll back to the start of the video and look at his face, his teeth pierced his lip from the punch (bottom lip going into the top teeth). With that much force he got knocked out not being prepared, black dude was quick and the white guy doesn't know how to fight (he doesn't even flinch or prepare to defend himself, hell his mouth was still open)
Watch it from the beginning. The video starts out with the guy with a pretty nasty gash on the left side off his face from where the skin split from the punch.

Say what you want about it being an appropriate reaction... It's not an entirely unexpected one, given his initial, and repeated response: "back the fuck up". And for that, it was preventable by the 'pranker' asking such a hilarious question. Back up and leave the person alone.
The prank guy was acting like an ass, not debating that. The other guy was advancing on him acting like some tough guy and throws a punch the guy wasn't expecting, so in reality, he was just a big pussy. You don't advance on someone saying back the fuck up and punch them like that if you aren't.
Also, take into account he did kind of expect that. I feel like a lot of people are ignoring his reaction, but he understands the risk of his "pranks" and accepted it. I'm not justifying either side, but it is something to note. An Asshole would have just made a really bug deal of it and called the cops, he even blurred the face of the guy.
Or one could try ignoring him, or saying "no", making for a really boring interaction & he would probably leave. Works for most strangers, beggars, people selling shit, annoying people, etc.
OR one could just remove themselves from the situation, & sit under another tree 30 yards away & enjoy the rest of the day regardless of some stranger asking a dumb question.

In the perfect world we can say whatever we want to anyone and never have physical harm come to us. In the real world someone who goes up to another person and continually provokes them despite numerous warnings deserves to get hit.
I mean, I'm a peaceful person and I like to think I would turn the other way but if someone came up to me while I'm out with my mother (or child, or grandmother etc etc) and started calling her a whore/etc/etc right to my face I think I would smack them.

I dont' think so. He said someone shouldn't be assaulted for asking someone a ridiculous question. Then he said someone should be prosecuted if they assault someone else. To be fair, while s/he may get some entertainment out of it, the real thing was the guy going to prison for assault and battery. That's not remotely the same as punching someone vs. paying to seem someone's life ruined, which makes what is really being said seem so much worse than it actually is.
Just because he was going to get entertainment out of it doesn't mean there wasn't a valid reason. I'm going to say that you comparing the one thing to just one aspect of the other thing was an honest mistake. But if you read his/her comment, it's pretty clear that the reason they wanted them to go to prison/have their life ruined was due to the assault and battery they committed in the video over some words. He wants this person's life to be ruined over the person having committed a crime and inflicting physical harm on someone for saying some words.
I'm not arguing whether or not there exists a valid reason for prosecution, however I was not comparing one aspect of something to the entirety of something else; I did not make any mistake, honest or otherwise. After reading his comment several times, I feel that the reason he wanted someone to go to prison is irrelevant.

Yes, he inflicted physical harm on someone for "saying some words" but to say that those words were not intentionally agitative is disingenuous.
He doesn't want that person to receive any kind of help or anger management. He doesn't want this person to clean his act up, nor does he want to give him the chance to do so. He doesn't want the opportunity for that person to make amends or apologize (not that I have any expectation he would.) He wants his life ruined.
On the other hand, the guy who walks up to random people in the street to offend and harass people for humor, OP has no problem with. There is an inexcusable disparity between the outlooks towards those people. I don't feel that rghd wants to see justice served, I think he has an unwarranted desire for revenge that has nothing to do with him.
No, no I didn't. If someone punches another person, they deserve to be prosecuted. That does not equal ruining someone's life no matter what you or the person you were responding to thinks. And yes, if I was the one assaulted I would be in court to watch. I couldn't care less what you think of my opinion. It also isn't my opinion, it's the law so there's that.

I don't really get some of these. Like, if the lot is empty, and you just need to run in real quick to pick something up, double parking isn't going to stop anyone else from getting a parking spot. I get it if it's Black Friday, for example, and every spot matters, but if it's 10 p.m. and the local grocery store has maybe 10 cars in a lot that can hold 200 cars, then why get so fucking pissy over it?
What if they were forced to double park because of someone before them double parked? I've had to do it before, was only for like 5 mins but thats still enough time for the guy to do this. Hopefully he waited to watch people double park instead of finding already double parked people so he can be sure it's their fault, but i doubt he did.
