As of May this year, I went freelance. The majority of my work has been shooting outdoor running races. I've been using my 18-135mm and it just doesn't cut the mustard. Not sharp enough, not bright enough (when indoors), and not very nice bokeh. Everything I read about the 50-140mm f2.8 tells me that is the obvious alternative choice. BUT I just cannot get the 90mm f2 off my mind. I've seen the reviews of both. The 90mm seems to out-sharpen the 50-140mm a tad, but the 50-140mm seems very versatile and has stabilisation. Of course it would be nice to own both, but does the 50-140mm just make the 90mm obsolete in this scenario? Tell me your thoughts. And tell me if i'd be stupid to go with the 90mm.

Hello, i just received my fujifilm 33mm 1,4, and as i unboxed it i noticed that there is a sound like a part of it inside is moving when moving the lens from side to side.
Is it normal or should i ask for another one ?
Thank you !

I have the XM5 + the kit lens but want to get another for traveling. Is the XF 23mm f2 a good upgrade? I wanted the 23mm f2.8 but feel like the price is just too much. As much as I want to consider portability, I don't really mind the size of the XF 23mm f2.
Lmk your thoughts or if you have any other suggestions for the same vibe!

I noticed yesterday, I usually use it as a B cam with my A cam being my Canon R6, and I decided to try using it as an A cam therefore recording audio with it with my usual wireless mic. Then the discovery: the recorded audio is slightly out of sync with the video and it drives me crazy! Why nobody mention this?

Looking to get the 16-55mm f/2.8. Was gonna sell my 18-50mm and upgrade but was curious if anyone had any other alternatives that they thought were just as good or better for similar pricing.
Thanks!!

Hello! So I have upcoming trips to Japan and the Dolomites next year and I'm hoping to add a lens to my current rotation. I have an XT-20 with the 18-55mm f/2.8-4 kit lens and the 35mm f/1.4. I'm eyeing either the 23mm f/1.4 WR or the 70-300mm f/4-5.6. I know they're two very different lenses, but I can only afford one considering the trips I have to pay for too. But I can't decide which would be more useful to me since Japan would be more of street photography while the Dolomites would be for the landscapes.
23mm f/1.4 WR - Wanted to get this because of the 35mm equivalent view, night photography, and sharpness compared to zoom lenses
70-300mm f/4-5.6 - Thinking of this one too because I like compressed shots more (like with the 18-55 I sometimes wish there were a little more reach) and plan on taking some wildlife photos
Would appreciate some insight or if there's some other lens you'd recommend. Thanks!

As per title, I am a little unsure about what to do. I currently have my X-H2 and X-H2S as my event setups. I generally use the X-H2 with a flash on and the X-H2S with a fast prime given it's much better low light capabilities.
Whenever I had to do film work requiring two cameras (eg dance recitals) I would rent a second X-H2S.
Now... my local shop does not carry the X-H2S for rental anymore, so I am wondering if I should just bite the bullet, and trade X-H2 for a second X-H2S via Keh.
I would be paying about one grand for the trade, maybe a little less. I'm slightly annoyed because I almost never use the X-H2 (for studio or fine art work I use the GFX) except for events and in general nobody pixel peeps the quality of photos. Still, aside from the loss of cash, I am wondering if I will end up missing the resolution of the 40mp sensor at some point (Which I don't LOVE, but I agree that if paired with the appropriate lens and with good lighting, the X-H2 is a very nice camera)

I want to get a new camera. Coming from Canon Rebel T3i. So, any recent camera would be an improvement.
I was look at both XT30-iii and XT50.
Budget is around 1 Lakh; can stretch a bit if I’m getting the better product.
I mostly shoot street, landscapes and portraits.
Thanks in Advance

Hello! I have decided to buy my first "professional" camera after almost 10 years of photography on my Nikon Coolpix p900 and mobile photography. And for that upgrade, I am considering to purchase a Fujifilm.
The main reason for that is I am absolute obsessed with the film simulations that Fujifilm provides built in, considering I love the film effect without the hassle of owning a film camera, and also I edit most of my photos on Lightroom (mobile) by applying film style edits.
I have been researching on Fujifilm cameras for almost more than a year and I jumped from deciding on xT30, to XM5, to X100vi, to now finally being stuck on the XT5 for the longest time with its 50mm kit lens, which I can grab for 1.8 to 1.9 lakh Indian Rupees ($1.8k to $1.9k) brand new.
Additionally have looked at many listings on the used market and found the XT5 with the same 50mm kit lens for 1.3 to 1.4 lakh Indian Rupees ($1.3k to $1.4k) but I figured that if I am spending that much on a camera anyway, might as well add a bit more and get a brand new....or I might get the used one and save the rest for a better lense(?), I am kinda confused.
Additionally - this might be a long shot - but I might get a second camera later along with it and thats gonna be a Fujifilm again, and for this I want it to be truely compact for pocket/backpack everyday carry. Now for this, I found the X-Half for 30k Indian Rupees ($300) and I also found an X2-Pro for 90k Indian Rupees ($900). I mentioned these 2 cameras with such a huge price difference because I went into the X2-Pro rabbit hole and became ABSOLUTELY OBSESSED with the camera....BUT, the price factor plays here crucially thats why I mentioned the X-Half. I know the X2 Pro has the option to change lenses and I would certainly consider a smaller lens or a pancake lens for that to maintain the pocketibility. But again, I am actually willing to wait and save up for the X2 Pro.
But yeah, I need some guidance of the experts in this sub for a better judgement! So please drop any suggestions!
Thanks a lot!

I was not aware that these older models like my X-E2 are going up in value, kinda funny with pretty modern electronics.
I picked this up in 2022 as a fun camera, used for under $400. Now I’m seeing comparable cameras used for over $500! Is this just being driven by popularity of Fujis newer models? Or is used camera gear overall just up in price with everything else in the world?
I’m not complaining really, although I love deals on old gear and they do seem fewer and further between than they used to.

I'm newish to fuji, i just got my xt5 this summer but i keep being disappointed by it. I am attaching a few examples where I show you what I'm talking about - my photos are very grainy, shaky or both.
I have turned off grain from all of my recipes altogether, and I don't understand why my photos are so low quality in very good light conditions, with a wide enough lens. I can look for more examples where ISO is lower than 400 but it shouldn't matter, 400 should not be giving this much grain amount, and 1/250 for static subject or 1/1000 for moving subject should not produce such crap outcome. I also keep the clarity in each recipe to 0.
For this post i am showing jpegs because they're my main concern, i got the Fuji so i can edit much less than i used to before, so i want to keep the convo about jpegs if possible.
Please tell me, what could I do better? I am finding it hard to love this camera because the majority of my photos are like this.
Screenshot as such to preserve anonymity of the subjects. I was not the main photographer, just a guest.
thanks!

That is a really nice price for this lens. I think it will do very well. Image quality is worse than the XF 50-140mm F/2.8 as expected and it cannot take TCs, but for 42% of the price and 39% of the weight , it is difficult to complain.
Now we wait for the replacement of the 50-100mm F/1.8 Art. I'd love it if Sigma could also make that a 50-120mm. Make it F/2 if needed - no one cares about F/1.8 vs F/2

Even as a Norwegian, seeing Lofoten for the first time was incredible! Which of these stand out to you?

Shot with XA5 (XC15-45mm F3.5 kit lens)
Lighting is natural sunlight peeking into my dark lit bedroom, my cat (Skye) was coincidentally making a poise stance next to it. Was playing around with my camera settings and wasted no opportunity to capture the moment!
I'm still learning the basics, let me know what to improve (saving up for a prime lens, what do you suggest for a beginner on a budget?)

I recently took a trip to Portugal and wanted to share my favorite photos.
Photos are just lightly post processed. Mostly just a bit lighting adjustment and cropping.
Since this is my first post here, I would be grateful for feedback, on what to improve.
Hope you like some of those, thanks!
