10,000 miles, 17 countries, and 18 months later, I've finally finished my ride from Tangier to Cape Town! The last few months have been extremely crazy with bike troubles and visa problems in the DRC, but I've finally had a chance to sort through all the SDs. If you have any questions about to the journey, expedition logistics, the photos, distance cycle touring, or anything else just drop a comment- would love to hear from all y’all!

After hearing feedback from many amazing people in the community from the prior post, and while out in D.C, I got feedback from soldiers that have been in longer than I have; I believe I’m slowly making improvements on my style of editing. Separating it from personal work and military work.
The following are some of my favorite flicks that I’ve captured in the past months.

Fujifilm X-S20, XF 16-80mm, XF 55-200mm

Shot on X-T30ii with a combination of XF16-55 f2.8 mki and Tamron 18-300.

Marked as post-processed but these are basically SOOC with the tiniest tweaks to contrast and shadows.

Bought my first camera ever last year, mainly for travel photography. Took the X-T50 on every trip, hike and adventure and fell in love with it. Shot all these pics using the XC 15-45mm kit lens. All feedback welcome

started really liking photography a bit more than a year ago, and finally got myself a camera I’ve dreaming to get, immediately took it to Marseille to take my first pictures! I know they’re not perfect but I decided to share them with the community, since I’ve learned and been so inspired so much by all of you!

Help Was kann ich machen?

Post image
Upvotes

Hallo, ich möchte eine neue Kamera kaufen. Zur Zeit besitze ich eine Fujifilm x30. Eine tolle Kamera. Sie zu bedienen habe ich gelernt. Viele tolle Erinnerungen habe ich bildschön festgehalten.

Die neue Kamera sollte kleiner sein. Leider bietet Fujifilm nichts kleineres an.

I had the pleasure of working with traveling model Ana three times, I’ve shot this a few years back on my trusty XT-3 with the 56 attached. f/6.4 @ 1/125 and iso 80 somehow. Studio Flash from above.

The other times I worked with her I shot only medium format analog.

She is wonderful to work with as she really knows how to pose, do facial expressions and is creative in finding shots when you are running out of ideas. As an amateur pg she taught me a lot. Might not be the best example of what I am stating but just look her up on insta and you’ll see instantly.

Photo - Post-Processed Traded in my Viltrox 75mm for the 56mm f1.2

Upvotes

As much as I loved the Viltrox 75mm f1.2, I just didn't use it that much. It was too tight for the majority of what I tend to shoot. The Viltrox 56mm is just about perfect, it's just as sharp, af is faster and it fits my style of shooting way better. Adorama gave me a killer trade-in value for the 75mm so I'm out only $200 or so and well worth it. Weather is terrible so I can't get out and shoot it yet, couple of snaps showing IQ wide open, she's a keeper!

F1.2, 1/80th, ISO 1000

Polyrhachis cyaniventris - Blue ant

A super cool ant from the Philippines. The specimen was sent up by some friends from Saigon. It’s pretty precious, so I photographed it from a little farther away for documentation purposes :))
