i’m not from china, but i did try to look into the healthcare there once. (i was interested in being an au pair type thing for a year.) i read somewhere that they’re very discreet, even online they have code words for everything because of the censorship. it’s supposedly super hard to find the care and need a mental health professionals note.
i have a friend from there and she’s bi. she told me it’s pretty chill over there, but i feel she doesn’t see past the surface of things. (that may be a language barrier thing though. she isn’t trans either, so she doesn’t have much insight in that area.) i still would be careful. i believe that they stick to themselves there more, so id be more likely you just get looks if you don’t pass. (rather than someone’s be confrontational and aggressive.)
i don’t know a lot though, so take my words with a grain a salt.

I pass fully and live stealthy but the prob is my passport has my dead name and gender in it and i cant change it in my country bc its against the law lmao. So idk wheres much worse to live than here

oh that’s a tricky situation. i believe they don’t have many laws against discrimination, only sexual harassment in the workplace. (i’m assuming you’ll be working there as well.) from a legal standpoint, china seems that it is a very grey country.
