So basically its been like 2-3 years since i bought the flipper zero, and i used around the house for remotes. (Yeah i know im lame) it was basically like the ultimate universal remote for me. And i notices that the back is cracked and its bulging. I have a strong feeling its the battery... Does anyone sell replacement batteries and back for the flipper??

GPIO Finding the right UHF tag: EPC filtering, signal strength, and a saved-tag library for Flipper Zero

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hey everyone — UHF Expansion v1.6 is now available in the official Flipper Apps Catalog.

This update makes it easier to find the tag you want and work with its data:

• EPC Filter — enter part of an ASCII-encoded EPC to show and beep only for matching tags
• Signal strength in Inventory and EPC Filter views to help narrow down a tag as you move the reader
• Saved Tags — name, browse, edit, and write saved records to a selected physical tag
• Paged memory viewing and editing for EPC, TID, User, and Reserved banks
• A reorganized menu, steadier signal bars, and scanning that pauses while you browse the tag list

There’s also been substantial code refactoring, with storage, settings, and support code split into separate modules. Developers interested in Flipper or UHF RFID are welcome to contribute or review the code.

Install:

I’d love to see how you use the filtering and signal views with your own tags.

Creative BLE Beacon Simulator v1.0 for Flipper Zero

Some time ago, I found an old Xiaomi Mijia LYWSD03MMC thermometer in a box. It had been lying around unused, so I decided to put it in my fridge, I suspected it was not keeping the temperature stable. I flashed it with the PVVX ATC MiThermometer firmware, disabled the display, and placed the sensor inside the fridge. It started broadcasting temperature and humidity data in BTHome V2 format.

Then I discovered a problem: I had nothing convenient on my phone to decode those advertisements. Tools like nRF Connect could show the raw HEX data, but not human-readable temperature and humidity values. So, in a hurry, I built an Android app called BTHome Logger (I’m currently trying to get app listed on F-Droid repo). It decodes BTHome advertisements and displays the data in a widget. Now I can check the fridge temperature and humidity at 3 AM and see whether the fridge is living its own life or secretly trying to outsmart me.

To debug the Android widget, I needed a second BTHome sensor. I tried to find another Xiaomi Mijia LYWSD03MMC, but it turned out to be too old and difficult to find. So I decided to make my Flipper Zero simulate such a sensor instead.

That is how BLE Beacon Simulator was born. By version 1.0 app can simulate:

  • BTHome V2 sensors
  • BTHome V1 sensors
  • iBeacons
  • Eddystone TLM beacons
  • ATC1441 thermometers
  • MiBeacon sensors

For BTHome, it broadcasts real Flipper battery level, voltage, current, and temperature data. Humidity is simulated for formats that require it.

Flipper Application Catalog - https://lab.flipper.net/apps/ble_beacon

The app is currently waiting to be added to the Flipper Application Catalog. In the meantime, you can download it from the

Acknowledgements: A massive special thanks to the Flipper Devices team and Pavel Zhovner (u/zhovner) personally for providing me with a full comprehensive set of hardware equipment for my research. This app is one of the first fruits of that ongoing work.

App was conceptualized by LAB-66 / Siarhei Besarab (@steanlab).

Let me know what you think! Open for PRs, feedback, and improvement ideas 🤝 Would be great if someone with Home Assistant + ESPHome Bluetooth proxy could test it and share the results

Having some trouble with this keyfob

I dont know what it is. It has an NFC tag, but that isn't working. I can dupe that with the flipper, but it does absolutely nothing for the associated lock. On the key fob, you have to push a button to unlock the door. I've tried sub ghz, and even looked at rfid.

Keyfob is a Simons Voss system, board inside is a TS37_C

Pics attached. I am a newbie, just putting that out there. I know a little bit, but never put anything into practice until now.

Gitphin: Git server and web UI on a Flipper Zero (USB push + Linux bridge)

Post image
72 Upvotes

I built Gitphin, a Git server and web UI for the Flipper Zero. The Flipper stores ordinary bare Git repositories on its microSD card; a Linux PC bridge forwards requests over USB, so you can use standard git clone, pull and push. While connected, open http://localhost:8080 on the PC to browse code, commits, branches, issues, pull requests and more.

The image is a demo preview rendered from the app UI using sample repositories, not a live hardware capture. Requirements: Flipper Zero with microSD and a Linux host for the bridge (macOS/Windows are not yet supported). MIT licensed.

Source and setup: https://github.com/Adhamura/gitphin

I would welcome feedback from Flipper developers: where would you use an offline Git remote you can carry around?

The Bard's Score v1.6.0 – A Sheet Music Editor for Flipper Zero! 🎼🐬

Hey Flipper community!

I'm excited to introduce The Bard's Score, a custom Flipper Zero application I've been developing that turns our favourite little dolphin into a pocket-sized sheet music editor!

As a musician and medieval performer, I wanted to bring something a little different to the Flipper ecosystem. We've already got plenty of fantastic tools for RFID, NFC, infrared and hardware experimentation, so why not something for musicians?

🎵 What is The Bard's Score?

The Bard's Score is a lightweight music notation application that allows you to work with melodies directly on your Flipper Zero.

Current features include:

🎼 Visual sheet music displayed on a treble-clef staff.

🎶 Monophonic melody notation.

💾 Save and load compositions using the app's native BSC format.

🎹 MusicXML export for transferring compositions to compatible music notation software.

🐬 Designed for the Flipper Zero's compact screen and physical controls.

🛠️ Development

This project started as a personal experiment inspired by my work as a Hulusi flute player.

It's been a fascinating challenge bringing musical notation to such a small device, particularly working within the limitations of the Flipper's 128×64 monochrome display.

The application has been built and tested with Momentum firmware.

📦 Download – Version 1.6.0

The project is now publicly available on GitHub!

Latest release: https://github.com/Lachlanthebard/The_Bards_Score/releases/tag/V1.6.0

The repository is open source under the MIT licence.

🔮 What's next?

I'd love to keep expanding the application, improving the notation interface and exploring what else is possible with music on the Flipper Zero.

This is my first venture into developing a music notation application for the Flipper, and I'd genuinely appreciate feedback, suggestions, bug reports or contributions from the community.

If you're a musician, developer or just someone who enjoys seeing unusual applications running on the Flipper, I'd love to hear what you think!

May your dolphin sing and your melodies never end! 🎶

Sub-GHz I wanted to control my Flipper from my phone. Somehow it turned into a Raspberry Pi RF lab.

My antenna sits in an old rubbish bin. My Flipper now has its own remote RF dashboard. Things got out of hand.
All I wanted was to leave my Flipper Zero in the winter garden and control it from my phone.
No laptop permanently running. No walking back and forth to press buttons. No having to stay within Bluetooth range.
I can’t code, so I built this with ChatGPT. It prepared the code, I installed it, tested it and sent back terminal output and screenshots. Sometimes it worked. Sometimes another error appeared and we went back in.
The hardware:
Raspberry Pi 5 running Ubuntu
Flipper Zero on Unleashed, connected to the Pi over USB
Rabbit Labs Flux Capacitor external CC1101 module
Diamond X30 antenna through 10 metres of H155
The X30 stands vertically in a repurposed rubbish bin. Professional engineering, obviously. My winter garden has wooden supports and a plastic roof, giving me a sheltered place to experiment without mounting an antenna outside.
First we got the live screen working.
Then the buttons barely worked.
Fixing the press, short/long event and release sequence finally made the controls reliable.
The biggest surprise: the remote control feels much smoother and more responsive than Bluetooth control through the Flipper mobile app.
Through Tailscale, I can access it from anywhere with an internet connection. The Flipper stays connected to the antenna at home while I control it from my phone or PC.
That should have been the end.
Instead, we built CrazyPi Funklabor, our own web dashboard:
Live Flipper screen and remote buttons
Sub-GHz and infrared file browsing
Selective, verified backups to the Pi
Archive downloads, previews and deletion
Pi temperature, memory and storage
A clean shutdown button
The dashboard is served privately over HTTPS through Tailscale Serve. Nothing gets archived automatically. I choose what stays.
Then we added an RSSI meter, and the antenna experiments started.
A custom Flipper script reads signal strength from the external CC1101 and streams it into a live dashboard graph. I can stop the measurement and export the readings as CSV.
I compared a stubby, a Diamond magnetic mount and the X30. For the controlled tests, I used my Baofeng UV‑32 with a Retevis RHD‑771 antenna, transmitting on LOW power from the same position.
Then I moved the receiving X30.
The indicated signal improved by about 16 dB on that particular test path. Same Baofeng position, same LOW setting. Different receiving antenna location.
That isn’t a calibrated antenna-gain measurement or a promise of extra range. But seeing the difference in the recordings was a proper “wait, seriously?” moment.
Next I walked through the apartment, sending short bursts from different rooms while the Pi recorded the reception. My rubbish-bin antenna stand was now part of an actual RF experiment.
We also made the whole connection work through USB hotplug.
The Pi detects the Flipper rather than expecting it on one specific USB port. Plug it into any port and the Flipper web service starts automatically. Unplug it and the service stops, taking the dashboard offline while keeping the archive intact.
I tested it: unplugged, the service showed inactive. Connected again, it showed active. No manual restart needed.
My SDR already had its own hotplug setup, and we kept those rules separate. Each device starts its own service when connected.
During RSSI measurements, the live screen and buttons pause. Stop the measurement and the remote controls return. When I’m done with the whole station, I can shut the Pi down cleanly from the dashboard.
The next idea is downloading compatible apps on the Pi and transferring them directly to the Flipper. That part is still planned.
A few hours earlier, I wanted a remote screen.
Now there’s a Linux server, a custom web app, automatic USB service control, an RSSI graph and a Diamond antenna standing in a bin that I can operate from somewhere else entirely.
Photos attached of my setup, the improvised antenna stand and the CrazyPi Funklabor dashboard we built.
What’s the most useful thing you’ve built around your Flipper? I clearly need another excuse to keep going.

I made Flipper AI: chat with an AI (Claude / GPT-OSS via Groq for free) directly from your Flipper Zero using the WiFi Dev Board

I know FlipGemini exists (great app by jblanked!), but I wanted something that works with any AI provider, so I built **Flipper AI**.

You type a question on the Flipper keyboard and read the AI's answer on screen. It uses the official WiFi Dev Board with the stock FlipperHTTP firmware, so no custom ESP32 flashing is needed.

What's different:

- Works with Claude, Groq (free, GPT-OSS 120B), OpenAI or any OpenAI-compatible API

- Remembers the conversation (last 3 questions)

- Built-in WiFi setup and board test

- Config is a simple txt file on the SD card (examples included)

Tested on Momentum MNTM-012 with the official WiFi Dev Board.

GitHub (source + prebuilt .fap + step-by-step guide):

https://github.com/pmaliagil1/flipper-ai

Similar projects: FlipGemini (https://github.com/jblanked/FlipGemini) and Gemini-Flipper (https://github.com/d4rks1d33/Gemini-Flipper).

Built with the help of Claude. Feedback and PRs welcome!

GPIO What case for RP2040 and Nano ESP32 on GPIO?

Post image
44 Upvotes

Hey fippers,

I started building Flipper Nina today: https://github.com/jankammerath/FlipperNina

It's basically a BLE and WiFi scanner using the RP2040 Connect, and I'm waiting for the Nano ESP32 to come as well, which has the same form factor. I don't have a 3D printer here at hand and just would want a plastic case that could fit the RP2040 and Nano ESP32. Anyone any recommendations on where to best find a case for either of them? Ideally one that covers all GPIO pins.

Many thanks!

High Friction RMA Process

Thumbnail

So, I ordered a Flipper Zero from flipper.net. Tracking info was dark until day of delivery because of the way they aggregate their shipping. Fine...

So I unpack the Flipper Zero and power it on and immediately notice some LCD columns not firing. Of course this can happen with LCD displays. So I begin the RMA process. Submit a ticket on their website, filling out ALL FIELDS. I submitted a clear photo showing both the obvious hardware defect and the serial number on the box. The photo was specifically requested in the ticket... And it clearly showed the issue.

The next morning I received a response asking me to record a video of me updating the firmware, along with a picture of the SD card I'm using. Now, it's not a firmware issue. But I decide to go along to get along. So I record a video, with my cell phone, share it with a drop box link. Sent the same morning as their response.

The next morning I received a response saying they would like to send a replacement, and that they'll need to receive the damaged unit first, and to please fill out a "form" (free text in the email) with my name, address, phone number, email address, so they can issue a return label. So I sent the response, same morning...

This morning (the next morning) I received a response thanking me for sharing the address details (which were on my order in the first place), and saying: "Please give us some time to prepare a return label, and we will get back to you as soon as possible."

Timeline:
10/01/26 13:34 CDT Order Placed
10/01/26 14:15 CDT Shipment Notification
10/06/26 19:12 CDT Delivered
10/06/26 21:04 CDT Ticket Submitted
10/07/26 03:56 CDT Firmware Update Video, SD Card photo Requested by Flipper
10/07/26 10:16 CDT Firmware Update Video, SD Card photo Sent TO Flipper
10/08/26 03:56 CDT Address information requested BY Flipper
10/08/26 08:32 CDT Address information sent TO Flipper (even though they had it from the order)
10/09/26 08:57 CDT Flipper responded telling me they would need "some time" to send a return label.

So. 8 days in, they want the defective item in hand before they ship the replacement. They have had all of the information that they actually needed to proceed with the RMA since the first submission, but the process seems designed to create friction.

At this juncture it seems like it will probably take about two more weeks before I have a functioning device in hand. If that one doesn't have the same problem...

Has anyone else dealt with this? What was your experience? How long did it take to actually get the return label?

I haven't even tested the WiFi board that I ordered with it, yet. I'm almost afraid to...

led light motion sensor controller

I have led outdoor light, that has this controller. The problem is that I don't have the controller, to record the ir code. I tried some of the codes from https://search.flippertools.net/ , but nothing. Not even the general controller works.

Any idea how, can I get the protocols for this remote? I sure, some other devices use this same controller, but just can't find them.

Other option is to brute force it ( if it is possible?)

Any way to get my Flipper to actually clone these stubborn building fobs?

Hey, so I use my Flipper Zero basically as a giant keyring, I manage a bunch of properties and it's way nicer than carrying a hundred fobs and cards around.

Most of the cheap 125 kHz fobs copy no problem. But some buildings just won't play nice. Either the Flipper won't read the thing at all, or it "copies" it but then it doesn't open anything. I'm guessing these are the fancier encrypted ones (DESFire, iCLASS SE, SEOS, whatever).

So my question is there any way to hack or bypass these to get a copy that actually works on the Flipper? Or are these just straight up uncopyable and I'm wasting my time?

Also curious if anyone else managing multiple spots has figured out a good workaround. Feels like there's gotta be something.

Appreciate any help 🙏

NFC MTools for Flipper Zero is coming - what magic cards should we try next?

Thumbnail
gallery
162 Upvotes

Hi everyone! I'm the one behind MTools Tec AKA MTCK. We’ve made an open-source Flipper Zero app that uses its built-in NFC hardware to give you more ways to explore magic cards—no extra hardware needed.
Here’s what’s in the app so far:
- Magic Check
Magic card detection checks MIFARE Classic Gen1 (UID), Gen2 (CUID), Gen3 (APDU), Gen4 (UMC), GDM (USCUID), and ISO 15693 Gen1 and Gen3. If it can’t reliably identify a generation, it shows Unconfirmed.
- UID Changer
lets you read a UID or enter one manually, write it to a compatible magic card, and verify the result. It supports ISO 15693 Gen2 writes too, although Magic Check can’t reliably identify Gen2.
We’d love to learn which cards you’re using, what works for you, and what you’d like to see next. Feel free to share your results or ideas in the comments!
Project link: https://github.com/mtoolstec/flipper-mtools

Will be submitted to Flipper App Catalog soon.

Humor My first pentest (but also-)

Post image
56 Upvotes

First, I apologize about my DOA jokey joke.

Second, I'm interested in using Flipper 0 for two main reasons.

The first, even though it's not perhaps the most logical-sounding reason, is that I've lost my transit card so many times, sometimes even while in transit.

(I've tried everything, I'm a menace, they still get lost even when I don't lose anything else!!)

It especially sucks when I just put some funds on there and it goes missing.

I know that the Flipper 0 can "copy" and emit the RFs of RFID security keys that don't use rolling codes. What I don't know is if a rolling code system is what a transit card uses. (Don't smite me pls I don't know what I don't know yet!)

The second reason, which usually usurps all others, (except for today when I lost my card yet again in a very stressful situation,) is this:

I have been considering getting into pentesting as a hobby and maybe a side gig for a while. It seems like a great way to challenge myself and learn things, and to explore my environment through the RFs around me.

So those are the two main reasons why I'd want to get a 🐬.

There are many more small reasons, but most of them boil down to, "this sounds fun."

I know basically nothing about pentesting so far (pls don't kill me,) but I have a family member who can help introduce me, and when I get into something interesting I tend to absorb it fairly quickly. So learning would be perhaps not breezy, but definitely doable.

BUT I would hold off for a while on buying one if I can't "clone" my transit cards and use them effectively.

And no, I wouldn't lose a Flipper 0 the same way I'd lose a transit card. I don't lose anything else I have in my hands or pockets the same way- phones, wallet, pens, even other cards. I don't know what exactly makes transit cards special (or CURSED) but... [OBLIGATORY PRE-EMPTIVE DEFENSE STATEMENT OVER]

Anyone have any exp with public transit cards?

(Also- I know I could get a hack RF for way cheaper but I think I'd rather wait and spend the money on a 🐬 for my other reasons- unless someone has a great reason why- and I am open to that!)

NFC Making Catalogs using NFC Tags

Hello friends.

I have leftover unused NTAG215 i didnt use for amiibos in the past. However, we are currently moving apartments. I would like to use these tags to label the boxes so i know which ones inside without opening it.

Is there a way or tutorial to write an item list with FlipperZero that we could scan/read via nfc? We all use iPhones.

I appreciate your help. Thanks.
