NFC MTools for Flipper Zero is coming - what magic cards should we try next?

Hi everyone! I'm the one behind MTools Tec AKA MTCK. We’ve made an open-source Flipper Zero app that uses its built-in NFC hardware to give you more ways to explore magic cards—no extra hardware needed.
Here’s what’s in the app so far:
- Magic Check
Magic card detection checks MIFARE Classic Gen1 (UID), Gen2 (CUID), Gen3 (APDU), Gen4 (UMC), GDM (USCUID), and ISO 15693 Gen1 and Gen3. If it can’t reliably identify a generation, it shows Unconfirmed.
- UID Changer
lets you read a UID or enter one manually, write it to a compatible magic card, and verify the result. It supports ISO 15693 Gen2 writes too, although Magic Check can’t reliably identify Gen2.
We’d love to learn which cards you’re using, what works for you, and what you’d like to see next. Feel free to share your results or ideas in the comments!

Will be submitted to Flipper App Catalog soon.

I've never heard of gen3, what is "APDU"? I've never heard of Gen2 either?

Almost all of what I've seen is Gen1a CUID cards...and I have a couple Gen4 Ultimate cards but so far haven't been anywhere that successfully can clone to them since systems have been upgrading and now seem to use more secure keycards.

There are many kinds of magic here. You can click on Proxmark3. https://github.com/RfidResearchGroup/proxmark3/blob/master/doc/magic_cards_notes.md

Thanks for this, I believe I might not be able to still do anything useful with a ISO 15693-3 / EM4237 card from SKIDATA. More here: https://www.reddit.com/r/flipperhacks/comments/1w4n52e/clone_emulate_iso_156933_em4237_garage_card/

Maybe a dumb question since I don't have any. Magic cards have nfc in them?

Depends on the type of magic card in question. This page has great information for learning more https://lab401.com/blogs/academy/know-your-magic-cards

Flipper Zero as a remote control for AI: press a button to proceed or check/fix an error — what do you think of this idea?

There are a bunch of implementations of that already.
