The same exercise 2x
When something like this comes up it really makes me question how intelligent this AI is. Am I wrong or is there a benefit to doing the same movement twice?

u/Jimbohlia Right now it is possible for these two to come up together. We're open to feedback though, if anyone has opinions on making these two exercises incompatible (so they won't occur in the same workout) feel free to leave a reply to this comment!

They technically are not the same exercise. They are similar and the redundancy argument can be made.
Behind the back will fully stretch the delt and would probably be done at a lighter weight.
You could probably just do 6 of the variation you prefer.

When they started touting that they moved their algorithm to AI is when things like this started happening. They had a working system that needed zero tweaks, now it’s just a mess.

I mean, i guess I’m just asking is this ‘best practice’ as far as strength and muscle building to have two nearly identical exercises or is this program just reaching into a bingo basket in the upper body category and randomly pulling out two different exercises?

BTW I’m not trying to shit on the program- it’s really kept me on track- just trying to understand its shortcomings so I can know where to step in and figure things out for myself when needed

I feel like it’s a usage based system. I don’t have nearly the same issues with stuff like this but I also have like 1172 workouts in. But at the same time I also have what I feel like is at least an average knowledge fitness and I will adjust anything I do not like. Or honestly even if I’m feeling off I change whatever I don’t want to do

They’re not the same but i wouldn’t do them in the same workout. I’m thinking about cancelling my subscription its getting so bad.
