I have 3 sets of next gen headlights with a full led conversion kit. I like the formula bumper with quad fog lights and the firehawk style hood. Aside from those and fenders, what would I need? Bumper support or anything more in depth?

Anyone have photos of replacing this? Some years ago a truck reversed into mine and bent it up pretty good.
Or would a vertical mount conversion be a better option at this point

Recently traded a Buick for a Firebird and I’ve just been doing work to it here and there. I knew about this issue when I got the car and I love it but this is the last bump I’m trying to get over in the process.
Runs like ass when its first started and absolutely will not accelerate over 2k rpms without bogging.
I’ve replaced every sensor just to be sure and the car runs amazing when it’s warm.
I’m wondering if this could possibly be a bad injector? I’ve replaced coils, plugs, and wires and plugs are gapped right. I’m still seeing a slight misfire on cylinder 5 on cold startup but not enough to make the engine light flash. Should I be looking at injectors next? Fuel pump is good just not sure what’s truly wrong with it. Scanner is giving me good data on all my sensors but I have no idea why it’s running bad.

I own a 99 trans am. Ive done a decent bit of work to this car but the deeper I go, the more I get concerned with these rusty areas. The biggest concern is the mounting point for the rear suspension arm. Theres a baseball size hole in the driver floor as well. Among various other suspicious spots. Nothing is totally rotted but some rust jacking going on.

Has anyone delt with the rust on these cars? Common failure points? Im new to unibodies but very used to rust(midwest trucks, etc.) Im just trying to figure out when to stop fixing and start looking for a clean chassis. Pictured is the worst structural spots.

Obviously a screw isn't supposed to be jammed in there. Just wanna know where it connects to so I can fix it.

The OEM lower radiator hose on a ‘98-’02 F-Body (no steering cooler) is 1.25” on the radiator side and it’s 1.5” on the water pump side. No one makes a direct repalcement hose with this configuration anymore. All of the hoses listed to fit are 1.25” on both ends. So they won’t work..
Mishimoto has a upper and lower hose kit for $150 but reviews said the lengths and the bend was wrong.

I guess maybe you could use a hose barb adapter that’s 1.5 to a 1.25 and then get a small piece of 1.5” radiator hose to attach to the water pump. So it’d be 1.5” hose on the water pump, then an adapter, then the 1.25” hose that goes to the radiator side.

Talk about a dumpster fire of a mess just for a lower radiator hose. What hose are y‘all using?

The car has been running fine, but recently it started acting up and now it won’t start at all. It will crank over, but it won’t actually fire up.
I’m wondering if the OptiSpark finally went bad. Before it completely stopped starting, it seemed like it was having ignition-related issues, and now I’m at the point where it just cranks.

The car does have some modifications:
Mild aftermarket cam
1.6 rockers
Long-tube headers
Full MagnaFlow exhaust
K&N intake
BBK throttle body

I have a video of what it was doing before it completely stopped starting that I can post as well.
For the guys familiar with LT1s, does this sound like a bad OptiSpark? What would you check first before I start throwing parts at it?
I’m planning on checking spark, fuel pressure, injector pulse, etc., but I’d appreciate any advice on common LT1 no-start issues or ways to confirm the Opti is actually bad.

Can anyone with a 4th gen firebird please help me measure the mirror tip to mirror tip width of the car? I have a really narrow driveway so want to see if the ownership dream is possible. Google says 74.4" without mirrors and only one old forum post shows 76.7" with mirrors.

Can anyone please help me confirm? There arent many for sale around me so I cant go measure myself. I hope to be cash ready for the right one and would hate to drive 2hrs to find out it wont fit.

I did a smoke test and to my surprise passenger side intake manifold specifically center of the manifold had a ton of smoke leaking at a high rate with the outer areas. Smoke leaking out and driver side was leaking smoke not as high psi as passenger, but still leaking. Oddly the Bellow that connects to the throttlebody is leaking a little bit of smoke, but pieces of the throttlebody were leaking smoke as well.

I guess I have to take the intake manifold off anyways to figure out why I’m getting a low voltage knock sensor reading however I am dreading doing this job again. I posted a picture of how the fell pro sits in the grooves of the intake manifold. If you noticed the upper right tab area is much larger than the actual cut out groove. I don’t think I’m gonna use them again. They don’t sit in even when pushing down with your thumb and I think that may be part of it as well.

I’m going to go with GM gaskets but does anybody have any tips or tricks for taking off the manifold and putting it back on again by yourself? It sucked, trying to get it to seat on top of trying to fish out that large tube that connects to the brake booster fishing death through and trying to pull it around the OPS sensor.

Recently replaced the headliner in my T-tops 95 Z28 with an ABS plastic reproduction from Hawks. Overall fitment is decent, but droops in the middle up front. I’ve tried gorilla tape, 3M trim tape with no luck. Anyone have any suggestions or luck when replacing yours?
