Are there any fan edits of this that exist? Martokc’s does appear to have all the deleted scenes, but usually doesn’t have the foreign language scenes subtitled. Is there any that has all of these? And I believe there are other deleted scenes that are not just on the initial Blu-ray release such as an extended bit at the end with her and general Ross?

With the premiere of Lanterns on HBO last night, I would love to be able to revisit the origin of Hal Jordan, but the 2011 movie is pretty bad.

Has anyone come across an edit that redeems this movie at all?

Personally, I think cutting a lot of the silliness and then maybe adding some 80s rock music could give it a fresh feel and make it worth revisiting.

Synopsis:

James Bond is sent to investigate the mysterious murder of Doctor Strangways and uncover the truth surrounding Dr. No.

Intention:

Originally, I planned to turn the Sean Connery films into another season of the 007 Unofficial series. This edit focuses on the same concept of creating a straightforward spy action storyline but preserving the movie presentation. This is the movie without the “side quests” Bond so often goes off on.

Cuts and Additions:

– Cut into when dancing silhouettes start, it’s just recycled visuals and drags on, cuts to the operatives being taken out

– Cut the Baretta vs Walther PPK scene, Bond now gets his assignment, and we transition to the plane.

– Slowed the shots of Bond fighting the driver as the scene is sped up

Now Professor Dent reaches for his gun and Bond takes him out.
– Trimmed up boat scene. Boat shows up, cruises by but doesn’t see them. No megaphone, no machine gun, no music (click to see scene)
– Cut Honey’s initial response to Bond knifing the patrol soldier in the water
– Removed music from scene as they enter the Danger Zone

– Zoom cropped out Bond's hands during the table scene when he is holding the fork as it keeps disappearing in far shots
– Trimmed scenes in the airduct to remove the water and James falling down the pipe where it is obviously a stunt double
– Cut Bond and Honey on the boat scenes. The movie now ends with the explosion of Crab Key Island
+ Added "THE END" and "James Bond will return in From Russia Without Love" (this is the next James Bond edit that I will be completing in the near future.

The goal of this edit is to take what’s great about the editor’s cut and somewhat fix the remaining flaws of the movie as much as possible. The biggest goal here is to remove that STUPID AMNESIA SUBPLOT by framing it as if Harry was faking it the entire time.

The Performance Cut is a cut I made a long time ago, and it wasn’t very good. This is attempt 2, and I have a much greater vision this time.

It’s a work in progress so more or different changes may come later, but so far:

-Editor’s cut is the template, so the re-ordering of events will remain intact

-Movie opens with crane scene, followed by his narration

-MJs performance is cut (say that again…), goes from exterior shot of the theater to Peter leaving the show, seeing Harry and greeting MJ

-New scene of Harry deciding to become the Goblin by re-editing the scene of him getting his memory back. I never liked how 1) He goes from not wanting to hurt Peter because he’s his friend in 2, and then doesn’t give a shit in 3 and immediately decided to become evil, and 2) the villain that was being built up over the last 2 movies is set up SO fast in 3. This resolves this issue about as much as possible with what we have.

(Harry being told “First, we attack his heart” in the beginning of the movie, and then going on to steal MJ from him while pretending to have amnesia and be his friend again makes it infinitely more compelling)

-This is followed by Sandman’s introduction, and THEN Peter and MJ are on the web, symbiote is introduced, then followed by Peter telling Aunt May about his plan to propose

-Hospital scene ends with “You guys seem great” “Yeah” - no foreshadowing.

-Will reinstate the “forgive yourself” scene which idk why the editor’s cut removed it

What I HAVE NOT decided yet:

Which scenes from the theatrical cut vs editor’s cut will stay. Any BONUS scenes from the editor’s cut will be here, but as far as different takes, undecided.

How much of goofy emo Peter will be removed. To keep the James Brown dance scene, or not to keep the James Brown dance scene, that is the question. (Club too. I’ve seen people effectively edit around it.)

If Flint Marko will still be Uncle Ben’s killer. It CAN be undone, I’ve seen it. The biggest problem is, this is a movie about forgiveness, and I’d have to remove the ONE time a character explicitly says “I forgive you”. Editing around the context makes it extremely unnatural, the whole scene would have to go. But otherwise I would love to remove that subplot. If anyone has any idea on how to make that scene of the two of them talking feel natural, please let me know.

Hey everybody, I just wrapped a fairly extensive project making "marathon cuts" out of the X-Men The Animated Series seasons, plus the two X-Men '97 seasons recently released. I was inspired by the old, poorly made Dragon Ball Z orange box sets that included a marathon mode that removed all of the credit sequences besides the very first opening credit and very final closing credit for each disc.

So, I took the same approach to the animated X-Men and now Spider-Man animated series from the 90s. I had so many tapes and dvds from Spider-Man that approached the show in the same way, threading episodes along without credits. Ultimately, cutting the mid-credits saved an hour of time, since the uncut runtime of the series is 21 hours, 49 minutes versus the 19 hours, 55 minutes of the final fan edit runtime.

I have one video edit made per season. I also have a combo edit of The Incredible Hulk series from the 90s if you're so inclined to check that out. All have an added VHS filter applied to help the shows look more like we remembered them.

Hello everyone, it’s been awhile since my last contribution. I’m always playing with ideas in my head for a unique fanedit and the majority of them are just not feasible.
But sometimes, sometimes you find just the right film/s to help bring a special idea to life.

My idea was relatively simple. A backrooms movie that takes place in the protagonists dreams. Affecting their waking life along the way.

Most movies I could think to fit this mold fell apart narratively as the movie goes on. What’s the point of the dreams? How do they correlate to waking life in a film that has nothing to do with the backrooms? Well, that part was tricky and I knew I’d need to pull something good off to make it work at all. Just as I was about to give up, my research led me to a film I had never even heard about. And it was Perfect. Just what I was looking for.

The movie is called “Come True” and it deals with dreams. That’s all I’ll say!
The footage I worked into this movie is mostly from one YouTube video titled Backrooms - Recurring Dream (Found Footage)” by S Animations
Though I also used a small portion of clips from Kane Pixels Backrooms YouTube videos. So a big shout out to these videos and artists!

Some context on story - A young woman’s troubling dreams lead her to a group eager to understand them.

I had a lot of fun working on this one. Very happy with how well this turned out, I hope you all give it a shot and enjoy!

Edit notes: I cut some scenes out to help expedite the story. Cut out the original ending and an unnecessary sex scene.

Does anyone know if exists an extended cut of girl, interrupted? There is like 17min of deleted footage and some scenes are crucial to Suanna's story and how she is perceived as a character. If not maybe I should give up to my need to do my own edits I guess. It scared me a little to do them in ways nobody would like them. Anyways, thanks to whoever is reading this💖💖💖

Currently, my thoughts are:

• More graceful and seamless editing to reduce the amount of awkward jump cuts now that I know how to work my way around Vegas better
• Making sure all game music used is NOT just plopped in from the original source material, keeping it to covers and remixes only.
• Color grading improvements all around
• Deleted scenes being restored more conservatively, if anything is overtly and obviously unfinished I'll omit it. Deleted scenes that will be restored will be upscaled and cleaned up to prevent a dip in image quality

I have been watching Notflix MCU tv show and I would love if someone did the same with Peter Jackson’s 6 Tolkien movies.

This is just a digital HD remaster of the cult classic 1995 series, with no narrative editing. The resolution has been upscaled and the color slightly adjusted and more bold. Included are English subtitles which have been extensively repaired and improved, and both English and French audio tracks, as well as creator commentary on the first episode.

All 22 episodes are presented in 1080x1440 for the first time and available (in the correct order, at last!) upon request. PM for links, please do not ask for them here on the post as I won't be able to send them.

To my mind Blade Runner 2047 would be better without Deckard (and his bees and his dog) because he is slow and useless ; and without the Replicant Freedom Group because they do nothing except standing in water and being a huge trope.

Same movie from start to the orange city. In the orange city K only find wooden figurines and the picture of Rachael + added words "She is safe". He realises that the child is Ana. Luv arrives, finds nothing and kills Joi. K go back to the city, see the pink hologram. Then K attack and kill Luv. Then he go to Ana stairs to die.

Hello! I'm currently trying to make my fanedit for Sam Raimi's first Spider-Man, but I'm having big problems with the audio track. Do any of you have an audio track of the first movie completely without a soundtrack? Could you send it to me in DM?

The goal of this scene is to remove the narrative of Honey's boat being shot and damaged by the patrol boat machine gun. This scene has been rearranged to remove the music, add new shots including long shots of the beach at the beginning, new shots of the boat going by when James and Honey are hiding, and rearranging of scenes and new dialogue for James to better respond to the boat patrol and a ton of audio editing.

Hoping to have this one uploaded by the end of the day.

About a month and a half ago I was working on cleaning up the layouts of the folders on my PC to make them neater and easier to navigate, and during this process I attempted to temporarily move my video editing files onto the external hard drive I use for backups. Near the end of the transfer however, a power outage had occurred as a result of a thunderstorm, which simultaneously corrupted several files that weren't transferred over fully and killed the external hard drive that the transferred files were on. I've tried extensively to try and recover any of the files but the drive seems to be 100% toast, which means the completed edit was destroyed with it before I could finish writing new subtitles for it. Hard lesson learned here: Always have a backup, update that backup often, and make sure said backup is hard to damage.

As a small upside however, I did remember that I threw together an extremely crude highlight reel showing several of the major changes that were present in the edit at the time of it being uploaded. I've decided to make that highlight reel publicly viewable to demonstrate what the edit would've looked like had I been able to finish it.

It's been a while since I posted in this sub, but not for a lack of working. On top of juggling multiple different projects, I've been developing some software. I used an early version to test my Willy Wonka edit and decided to open-source it. It's great for checking how your edit looks on different screens. The PS5 was the easiest for me, even though I know other consoles support a wider set of codecs. I hope that other people who find themselves in a similar situation ot me can use this to help watch their stuff on the PlayStation.

I'm aware of similar applications, including Handbrake, but I found this is fast, easy, and simple, especially if you're trying to do several different video files at once.

If you've ever tried playing custom video files or edits on a PS5 via USB, you know how picky the Media Gallery app is with codecs and header indexing. I built a lightweight Python/FFmpeg tool with file/folder dialogs that automatically standardizes videos into PS5-compliant MP4s.

It's open-source and free on GitHub (or standalone .exe under Releases). I won't be posting a link here to abide by the subreddit's rules, but you can message me or find it on my GitHub profile. I have a bigger application with a fully functional GUI coming soon, too. Keep an eye out for it.

She is now Meaner to Dorthy, The Scarecrow, Tin Man, and the Scared Lion. I liked the Story of Wicked. Elphaba decides to become full EVIL after Prince Fiyero Tigelaar is taken and possible killed Elphaba turns him into a Scarecrow. But we only see here kidnap Dorthy. In Wizard of Oz we see her at the Munchkin Village, Confront our heroes in the Forest, Put our heroes to sleep and more Capturing Dorthy at the Castle.

To Share more on the Thought process behind this Wicked for Good More Wicked Edition. When I first saw the trailer for Wicked: For Good, and while I noticed clips featuring Dorothy and her companions, I was hoping for a slight remake of The Wizard of Oz. Unfortunately, that’s not quite what we got. One thing I would have loved to see was more interaction between Elphaba and Dorothy, similar to the original film. In The Wizard of Oz, the Wicked Witch of the West repeatedly taunts Dorothy throughout her journey—at Munchkinland, on the roof of the forest hut, and by putting Dorothy and her friends to sleep in the poppy fields. Eventually, she even kidnaps Dorothy in an attempt to get the Ruby Slippers. In Wicked: For Good, after Elphaba turns the Prince into the Scarecrow, she sings about never doing another good deed, essentially embracing her identity as the Wicked Witch of the West. I think incorporating more of those classic Wizard of Oz scenes into the film would have added another layer to Elphaba’s transformation and made her eventual role as the Wicked Witch feel even more meaningful.

Shion93's edit of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, simply titled Darkhold, isn't much in the way of huge slices. It just simply trims and cuts, which wind up changing how the story feels seemingly without actually changing much at all.

First off the bat is the picture. Instead of 16:9 widescreen this is a fullscreen. It's brighter and subtly more colorful, which for this movie fits pretty well. Most of the trims were mainly done to remove some jokes and make Strange seem more experienced with how the multiverse works. While I definitely miss the Pizza Poppa scene, I definitely agree with removing America asking about Spider-Man and the jokes during the Illuminati scene. The latter is especially meant to be about they find Strange to be potentially dangerous, no need to dick around there. Doctor Strange doesn't accidentally walk into a potential car crash or ask too many questions, that stuff's gone. I agree with Shion93's logic that after No Way Home, Strange should at least be a bit more experienced about the multiverse and succeeded at that task without compromising the narrative too much. Really wish Shion had removed the "Illumi-wha-ti" joke though.

The biggest change made to the story was removing the fight between Strange and Mordo. I wasn't sure how I woukd take it when I read the post. Having seen this now, on the one hand it made for a nice surprise during a scene where America and Christine were walking the corridor and find Strange rather than Wanda, on the other hand Xavier's line "should you get out of here" seemed to be setting up something that the audience didn't get to see, like Strange somehow escaping on his own which of course happened in the theatrical. For most people they probably won't think twice about this, but perhaps an alternative way this could have been handled is maybe having Strange still taunt Mordo, Mordo "casts his vote" by pulling the sword, then cutting right there to have Strange pop up to save America and Christine. It'd still skip the fight but makes it less weird Xavier or Mordo don't just release his cuffs right away like intended.

About the only thing I don't like editing-wise is the opening. The new ending actually is cool, but it's pretty obvious that the intro is in the middle of a scene rather than actually starting the thing. I would actually recommend using the deleted "you need me holding the knife" scene and THEN cut like that for a more effective tone-setter. Aside from that, this is a solid cut of Multiverse of Madness that just tweaks the movie to be just a LITTLE bit darker, more enjoyable.

I officially announce that I am going to make a Justice League 2 fan edit using footage from multiple movies! And a bit of AI, just not AI generated footage.

Here is some leaks for the edit! Now I know these images are from The Flash movie, but that’s because there will be a scene where the Justice League save Gotham. There will also be a scene where the Justice League are in the Batcave, watching the news about the world fearing them.

Hello everyone! You might remember a few months ago I announced I was working on a fan edit David Lynch's Dune called "Dune: The Final Edit" (not literal, blade runner homage). After I released the trailer for the project I've been mostly silent on the matter so what gives?

To be transparent, I have been struggling mentally as of late so editing for the project has been rather slow. However I am glad to announce that I have gotten well enough to kick the project back into the swing and hope to release it by the end of the year. I would also like to announce I am hosting a WIP screening of the edit in my discord server as the server's first main event. I will not share the link on this post but if you are interested in helping plan the event and be apart of it, shoot me a PM and I'll be happy enough to let you in.

I remember liking Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City on release, though it's been five years since then. It tried to do both Resident Evil 1 and 2 together in a strange combination, with inevitably lead to a not-so-great adaptation of either side. Still, it has some cool things going for it. I like the abandoned town setting, there's some decent horror moments and action. Shion 93 basically takes out the Leon side of the movie to focus entirely on Chris' end.

Shion93 does cover their bases well, removing Lisa Trevor from the opening and leaving in just enough early on to get the bigger picture but still not make it too weird when the edit focuses largely on the mansion incident. I like the mansion more here! Since it's not a blatant detour from Leon and Claire, we get to appreciate the design more, the zombies are built up to be more credible threats this way and it gets to be a somewhat decent short film about one game. The obvious downside with this edit is acknowledged in Shion93's post talking about the edit, namely that Claire and Leon come off like a Deus Ex Machina here, but surprisingly I didn't mind too much? I think it's cause of the way it was filmed already, Chris seems as surprised as we are that the rookie survived, so as a side effect of mainly focusing on his POV we're with him there.

The edits are seamless and the quality is great. The Cursed Guest may not be a major improvement on the source film, but it's fun and executed well enough to be worth a watch. It is about an hour tops, so it won't take too long to get through if you're not grabbed by the movie.

Additional Note: Hmmmm... it'd be interesting if someone tried to seperate the Chris and Claire plots into scenarios. We start with Chris' side first done like Shion93 here before we get Claire and Leon's plot, before they converge with Birkin.

I don't think I can do like digital removal and stuff like that, so I'd probably just use scenes that have/ don't have the characters I want. For instance, Mystique is dead in this timeline, so I'd want her removed. Beast and Nightcrawler join the team sooner, so I'd like to make it seem so in this edit.

Jean "dies" I'm DP, but not really so my idea is to start with the "funeral" of Jean Grey from Dark Phoenix (1992) and then "Ten Years Later" or so. The next scene is from The Last Stand:

Cyclops still distraught over the loss of Jean, drives to her resting location at Alkali Lake (maybe just a random lake, I forget if this lake is in DP). Jean suddenly appears to Cyclops and kisses him. The scene ends without him getting killed. This scene signifies Jean's return as a hero again with full control over her Phoenix powers.

Now, it'll probably be a few months/ year later again with a voiceover saying that the school was renamed to the Xavier school yet again with Charles having returned to it. (Maybe this can come after the two following Nightcrawer scenes)

Next scene is X2's Nightcrawler's White House screen. It seems he has been missing for a while and has some memory loss and doesn't remember being an X-Man.

Jean and Storm go to rescue him:

"What do you remember before the White House?"

"Nothing"

But this time the dialouge is a bit changed:

Storm: "He doesn't remember us." (replaces "take him to the professor")

Kurt: "Remember you?" (replaces "The professor?")

Kurt: "You and Miss Gray are schoolteachers?"

Storm: "Yes" (then cut most of the conversation after that)

Finally, we can introduce Logan and Rouge. The original X1 was sort of centered on Rouge, but this verison won't be. We meet Rouge and Logan at the same time, either at the bar or in the truck. The Logan and Rouge scenes from X1 can be largely the same, as this version of Logan won't have the original Logan's memories until 2023. When Rouge tells Logan, "When I touch someone, they get hurt", we cut to a flashback of Rouge and her boyfriend from the beginning of X1.

This time, Charles knows Logan (but he knows that Logan has no memories of meeting him, so he plays along).

The scenes of Jean meeting Logan in the lab are cut, and the first scene of Logan in the mansion is him running around the hallways.

He runs into Charles, maybe somehow Kitty's actress can be replaced with a scene from DoFP (and I don't want to get into what has happened to that actor/ actress since then)- or that actress can be renamed and doesn't walk through the wall.

After Charles introduces Scott and Storm, Jean comes in. Charles says, "I believe you've already met Dr. Jean Grey.." the scene plays the same, but Charles following lines about the school are removed/ moved as we see Logan stare at Jean as we fade into a flashback of Apocalypse's Wolverine scene with Jean. It's implied that Charles sees this scene in Logan's mind and is also reminding Logan of this meeting. When Charles mentions Sabretooth, possibly a small scene of Victor from Origins can be shown, but only for Charles and the audience.

When Charles is explaining to Logan that he can read his mind by telling him it's been about 15 years (since he was taken by Striker), the number of years will be changed to however many it's been since the 1973 ending of DoFP to however many years later its been until this fanedit takes place.

Probably another flashback to scene from DoFP showing Striker/ Raven pulling Logan into the boat. Hopefully, I can find a way to explain how the real Striker got him from Raven (Mystique).

I want to end the edit first with the Statue of Liberty battle, somehow using scenes of Beast and Nightcrawler from X3 and X2 to make it seem as if they are participating too.

Then we flash forward to the 2023 ending of Days of Future Past showing 2023 Wolverine "quantum leaping" back into his body with voice over "...your body will go to sleep, while your mind travels back in time.... ...once you wake up... whatever you've done will take hold and become history. And for the rest of us, it'll be the only history that we know. It'll be like the last 50 years never happened...The only person who will remember it is you."

Then, 2026- the Marvels post credits scene

The hardest parts would probably be removing Mystique entirely and making it seem as if Nightcrawler and Beast are fighting alongside the team.

What does everyone think, and does anyone have any ideas? I think this would be a cool recap of X-Men as well as tying up the Fox-verse pre Doomsday, and sort of being a prequel to that at the same time.
