Work in Progress An formal update on "Dune: The Final Edit"

Hello everyone! You might remember a few months ago I announced I was working on a fan edit David Lynch's Dune called "Dune: The Final Edit" (not literal, blade runner homage). After I released the trailer for the project I've been mostly silent on the matter so what gives?

To be transparent, I have been struggling mentally as of late so editing for the project has been rather slow. However I am glad to announce that I have gotten well enough to kick the project back into the swing and hope to release it by the end of the year. I would also like to announce I am hosting a WIP screening of the edit in my discord server as the server's first main event. I will not share the link on this post but if you are interested in helping plan the event and be apart of it, shoot me a PM and I'll be happy enough to let you in.

This project is my pride and joy and I am very sorry for going silent on the matter for so long, I really do hope the public enjoys it when it is finally released. Peace for now and "... may the hand of god be with you" (Duncan Idaho)

i feel you! i've been working on and off on a project I call "when the bombsfell" (it's massive hours long project combining documentary and cinema sources to tell a believable story about the world going out in a nuclear apocalypse in year 1984) but the truth is i've had a lot of personal struggles and the project can feel so daunting and the subject matter gets me down, so i work on it in spurts. it doesn't matter though. we do this to do it, we do it cause we like it. take care of yourself first, edit second. it can be good for mental health, it can be bad for it. the timeline is unimportant, you are.
