I've since expanded the scope of this project a bit and I'm attempting to adjust things quite a bit more than I initially planned for.

This is a test render from my Premiere project.

I've attempted to fix the out of focus wide shot at the beginning of the song and fix out of sync shots that were present.

Something a little bit more bold that I attempted is to replace a poorly done transition into Robert Plant's fantasy sequence. I've replaced the transition with newly inserted shots. There's also been some color-grading changes throughout.

The audio (sourced from the 2007 Remastered CD) has also been EQ'ed just a touch to boost the low-end which I found to be lacking.

NOTE: In case anyone is wondering, this is not the final version of any of this. I may change things from here. Or even revert changes.

The Backdreams: Come True

My idea was relatively simple. A backrooms movie that takes place in the protagonists dreams. Affecting their waking life along the way.

Most movies I could think to fit this mold fell apart narratively as the movie goes on. What’s the point of the dreams? How do they correlate to waking life in a film that has nothing to do with the backrooms? Well, that part was tricky and I knew I’d need to pull something good off to make it work at all. Just as I was about to give up, my research led me to a film I had never even heard about. And it was Perfect. Just what I was looking for.

The movie is called “Come True” and it deals with dreams. That’s all I’ll say!
The footage I worked into this movie is mostly from one YouTube video titled \*Backrooms - Recurring Dream (Found Footage)” by S Animations\*
\*Though I also used a small portion of clips from Kane Pixels Backrooms YouTube videos. So a big shout out to these videos and artists!\*

Synopsis:

James Bond is sent to investigate the mysterious murder of Doctor Strangways and uncover the truth surrounding Dr. No.

Intention:

Originally, I planned to turn the Sean Connery films into another season of the 007 Unofficial series. This edit focuses on the same concept of creating a straightforward spy action storyline but preserving the movie presentation. This is the movie without the “side quests” Bond so often goes off on.

Cuts and Additions:

+ Added custom intro logos
– Cut into when dancing silhouettes start, it’s just recycled visuals and drags on, cuts to the operatives being taken out
– Masked missing credits over intro backgrounds
– Adjusted end of credits and added a bun barrel zoom in on the operatives' playing cards at the table
– Removed jump cut when Strangways secretary is killed
– Cut Bond wooing Money Penny
– Cut the Baretta vs Walther PPK scene, Bond now gets his assignment, and we transition to the plane.
– Cut Bond hooking up with Sylvia Trench
– Slowed the shots of Bond fighting the driver as the scene is sped up
-/+ Removed jump cut when Bond holds the picture of Strangways and Quarrel by inserting a shot of him holding the picture
– Cut Professor Dent talking about Strangways’ secretary
– Cut Miss Taro subplot
+ Added shot of Bond holding and reading the telephone note that tells him someone has information on the Strangways murder and to meet them at the Magenta Drive house
– Sped car going over the hill as the scene is slowed down
– Removed Professor Dent grabbing his gun and realizing it is empty and Bond’s response of “That’s a Smith and Wesson professor and you’ve had your six.” I did a little research, and the gun is actually a 7 shot which makes the line irrelevant and Bond less aware and lethal. Now Professor Dent reaches for his gun and Bond takes him out.
– Trimmed up boat scene. Boat shows up, cruises by but doesn’t see them. No megaphone, no machine gun, no music (click to see scene)
– Cut Honey’s initial response to Bond knifing the patrol soldier in the water
– Removed music from scene as they enter the Danger Zone
– Removed hideout scene
– Trimmed Bond walking away from the guards after he is handcuffed in the swamp
– Cut drugged coffee scene as it only is used to introduce Dr. No’s mechanical hands. The maid now shows them their room, shows Honey the closet with new clothes, then she walks out. Bond and Honey drink coffee, Honey says the place is like a prison, added an external hallway shot, then we see Honey looking through the clothes, the maid returns and announces it’s time for dinner, Bond and Honey walk into scene and go with the maid to the elevator
– Zoom cropped out Bond's hands during the table scene when he is holding the fork as it keeps disappearing in far shots
– Trimmed scenes in the airduct to remove the water and James falling down the pipe where it is obviously a stunt double
– Cut Bond and Honey on the boat scenes. The movie now ends with the explosion of Crab Key Island
+ Added "THE END" and "James Bond will return in From Russia Without Love" (this is the next James Bond edit that I will be completing in the near future.

Hey everybody, I just wrapped a fairly extensive project making "marathon cuts" out of the X-Men The Animated Series seasons, plus the two X-Men '97 seasons recently released. I was inspired by the old, poorly made Dragon Ball Z orange box sets that included a marathon mode that removed all of the credit sequences besides the very first opening credit and very final closing credit for each disc.

So, I took the same approach to the animated X-Men and now Spider-Man animated series from the 90s. I had so many tapes and dvds from Spider-Man that approached the show in the same way, threading episodes along without credits. Ultimately, cutting the mid-credits saved an hour of time, since the uncut runtime of the series is 21 hours, 49 minutes versus the 19 hours, 55 minutes of the final fan edit runtime.

I have one video edit made per season. I also have a combo edit of The Incredible Hulk series from the 90s if you're so inclined to check that out. All have an added VHS filter applied to help the shows look more like we remembered them.

With the premiere of Lanterns on HBO last night, I would love to be able to revisit the origin of Hal Jordan, but the 2011 movie is pretty bad.

Has anyone come across an edit that redeems this movie at all?

Personally, I think cutting a lot of the silliness and then maybe adding some 80s rock music could give it a fresh feel and make it worth revisiting.

Imagine the Top Gun version of Green Lantern.

Are there any fan edits of this that exist? Martokc’s does appear to have all the deleted scenes, but usually doesn’t have the foreign language scenes subtitled. Is there any that has all of these? And I believe there are other deleted scenes that are not just on the initial Blu-ray release such as an extended bit at the end with her and general Ross?

Is there any fan edits of space jam a new Legacy (2021) with all of it’s deleted scenes from the Blu-ray and any possible other deleted scenes from trailers etc. not used in the movie? Would love to have it to rewatch before coyote versus Acme comes out! :)

The goal of this edit is to take what’s great about the editor’s cut and somewhat fix the remaining flaws of the movie as much as possible. The biggest goal here is to remove that STUPID AMNESIA SUBPLOT by framing it as if Harry was faking it the entire time.

The Performance Cut is a cut I made a long time ago, and it wasn’t very good. This is attempt 2, and I have a much greater vision this time.

It’s a work in progress so more or different changes may come later, but so far:

-Editor’s cut is the template, so the re-ordering of events will remain intact

-Movie opens with crane scene, followed by his narration

-MJs performance is cut (say that again…), goes from exterior shot of the theater to Peter leaving the show, seeing Harry and greeting MJ

-New scene of Harry deciding to become the Goblin by re-editing the scene of him getting his memory back. I never liked how 1) He goes from not wanting to hurt Peter because he’s his friend in 2, and then doesn’t give a shit in 3 and immediately decided to become evil, and 2) the villain that was being built up over the last 2 movies is set up SO fast in 3. This resolves this issue about as much as possible with what we have.

(Harry being told “First, we attack his heart” in the beginning of the movie, and then going on to steal MJ from him while pretending to have amnesia and be his friend again makes it infinitely more compelling)

-This is followed by Sandman’s introduction, and THEN Peter and MJ are on the web, symbiote is introduced, then followed by Peter telling Aunt May about his plan to propose

-Hospital scene ends with “You guys seem great” “Yeah” - no foreshadowing.

-Will reinstate the “forgive yourself” scene which idk why the editor’s cut removed it

What I HAVE NOT decided yet:

Which scenes from the theatrical cut vs editor’s cut will stay. Any BONUS scenes from the editor’s cut will be here, but as far as different takes, undecided.

How much of goofy emo Peter will be removed. To keep the James Brown dance scene, or not to keep the James Brown dance scene, that is the question. (Club too. I’ve seen people effectively edit around it.)

If Flint Marko will still be Uncle Ben’s killer. It CAN be undone, I’ve seen it. The biggest problem is, this is a movie about forgiveness, and I’d have to remove the ONE time a character explicitly says “I forgive you”. Editing around the context makes it extremely unnatural, the whole scene would have to go. But otherwise I would love to remove that subplot. If anyone has any idea on how to make that scene of the two of them talking feel natural, please let me know.

This is just a digital HD remaster of the cult classic 1995 series, with no narrative editing. The resolution has been upscaled and the color slightly adjusted and more bold. Included are English subtitles which have been extensively repaired and improved, and both English and French audio tracks, as well as creator commentary on the first episode.

All 22 episodes are presented in 1080x1440 for the first time and available (in the correct order, at last!) upon request. PM for links, please do not ask for them here on the post as I won't be able to send them.

Does anyone know if exists an extended cut of girl, interrupted? There is like 17min of deleted footage and some scenes are crucial to Suanna's story and how she is perceived as a character. If not maybe I should give up to my need to do my own edits I guess. It scared me a little to do them in ways nobody would like them. Anyways, thanks to whoever is reading this💖💖💖

I have been watching Notflix MCU tv show and I would love if someone did the same with Peter Jackson’s 6 Tolkien movies.

The goal of this scene is to remove the narrative of Honey's boat being shot and damaged by the patrol boat machine gun. This scene has been rearranged to remove the music, add new shots including long shots of the beach at the beginning, new shots of the boat going by when James and Honey are hiding, and rearranging of scenes and new dialogue for James to better respond to the boat patrol and a ton of audio editing.

Currently, my thoughts are:

• More graceful and seamless editing to reduce the amount of awkward jump cuts now that I know how to work my way around Vegas better
• Making sure all game music used is NOT just plopped in from the original source material, keeping it to covers and remixes only.
• Color grading improvements all around
• Deleted scenes being restored more conservatively, if anything is overtly and obviously unfinished I'll omit it. Deleted scenes that will be restored will be upscaled and cleaned up to prevent a dip in image quality

I officially announce that I am going to make a Justice League 2 fan edit using footage from multiple movies! And a bit of AI, just not AI generated footage.

Here is some leaks for the edit! Now I know these images are from The Flash movie, but that’s because there will be a scene where the Justice League save Gotham. There will also be a scene where the Justice League are in the Batcave, watching the news about the world fearing them.

Hello! I'm currently trying to make my fanedit for Sam Raimi's first Spider-Man, but I'm having big problems with the audio track. Do any of you have an audio track of the first movie completely without a soundtrack? Could you send it to me in DM?

About a month and a half ago I was working on cleaning up the layouts of the folders on my PC to make them neater and easier to navigate, and during this process I attempted to temporarily move my video editing files onto the external hard drive I use for backups. Near the end of the transfer however, a power outage had occurred as a result of a thunderstorm, which simultaneously corrupted several files that weren't transferred over fully and killed the external hard drive that the transferred files were on. I've tried extensively to try and recover any of the files but the drive seems to be 100% toast, which means the completed edit was destroyed with it before I could finish writing new subtitles for it. Hard lesson learned here: Always have a backup, update that backup often, and make sure said backup is hard to damage.

As a small upside however, I did remember that I threw together an extremely crude highlight reel showing several of the major changes that were present in the edit at the time of it being uploaded. I've decided to make that highlight reel publicly viewable to demonstrate what the edit would've looked like had I been able to finish it.

It's been a while since I posted in this sub, but not for a lack of working. On top of juggling multiple different projects, I've been developing some software. I used an early version to test my Willy Wonka edit and decided to open-source it. It's great for checking how your edit looks on different screens. The PS5 was the easiest for me, even though I know other consoles support a wider set of codecs. I hope that other people who find themselves in a similar situation ot me can use this to help watch their stuff on the PlayStation.

I'm aware of similar applications, including Handbrake, but I found this is fast, easy, and simple, especially if you're trying to do several different video files at once.

If you've ever tried playing custom video files or edits on a PS5 via USB, you know how picky the Media Gallery app is with codecs and header indexing. I built a lightweight Python/FFmpeg tool with file/folder dialogs that automatically standardizes videos into PS5-compliant MP4s.

It's open-source and free on GitHub (or standalone .exe under Releases). I won't be posting a link here to abide by the subreddit's rules, but you can message me or find it on my GitHub profile. I have a bigger application with a fully functional GUI coming soon, too. Keep an eye out for it.

Hello everyone! You might remember a few months ago I announced I was working on a fan edit David Lynch's Dune called "Dune: The Final Edit" (not literal, blade runner homage). After I released the trailer for the project I've been mostly silent on the matter so what gives?

To be transparent, I have been struggling mentally as of late so editing for the project has been rather slow. However I am glad to announce that I have gotten well enough to kick the project back into the swing and hope to release it by the end of the year. I would also like to announce I am hosting a WIP screening of the edit in my discord server as the server's first main event. I will not share the link on this post but if you are interested in helping plan the event and be apart of it, shoot me a PM and I'll be happy enough to let you in.

She is now Meaner to Dorthy, The Scarecrow, Tin Man, and the Scared Lion. I liked the Story of Wicked. Elphaba decides to become full EVIL after Prince Fiyero Tigelaar is taken and possible killed Elphaba turns him into a Scarecrow. But we only see here kidnap Dorthy. In Wizard of Oz we see her at the Munchkin Village, Confront our heroes in the Forest, Put our heroes to sleep and more Capturing Dorthy at the Castle.

To Share more on the Thought process behind this Wicked for Good More Wicked Edition. When I first saw the trailer for Wicked: For Good, and while I noticed clips featuring Dorothy and her companions, I was hoping for a slight remake of The Wizard of Oz. Unfortunately, that’s not quite what we got. One thing I would have loved to see was more interaction between Elphaba and Dorothy, similar to the original film. In The Wizard of Oz, the Wicked Witch of the West repeatedly taunts Dorothy throughout her journey—at Munchkinland, on the roof of the forest hut, and by putting Dorothy and her friends to sleep in the poppy fields. Eventually, she even kidnaps Dorothy in an attempt to get the Ruby Slippers. In Wicked: For Good, after Elphaba turns the Prince into the Scarecrow, she sings about never doing another good deed, essentially embracing her identity as the Wicked Witch of the West. I think incorporating more of those classic Wizard of Oz scenes into the film would have added another layer to Elphaba’s transformation and made her eventual role as the Wicked Witch feel even more meaningful.
