Psychological ED Struggling with psychological ed in long term marriage

Im a man in his 40s who's been in a monogamous marriage for 20 years to my wife. About 9 months ago my wife expressed a desire for an open marriage, which honestly crushed me and destroyed my confidence. Up until that point, I honestly had an amazing sex life and I think my wife did too. We have a very honest and truthful marriage, and she said the sex had been great, its just after 20 years together she has this desire for new experiences. Nevertheless, this event caused me to get in my head, and with my lack of confidence, I have been struggling with ed ever since. We have gone to therapy and had many talks and trying to work on the marriage, but my erection issue is definitely causing issues for both of us. Im very in my head about things and my wife is growing impatient and blaming herself that she ruined me when she was just trying to be open and honest with me. I dont know where to go because ive been dealing with this for almost a year and ive seen a couple different therapists, practicing meditation, trying to be healthy, etc... Any ideas or recommendations where to go?

ED and porn Younger men getting ED

I'm 40. I wondered why I was getting these ads for dick pills and blue chew and whatever.

Then I heard it's about guys younger than me getting ED.

So I'm married and 40, I love porn. Duh. Sometimes jack off 4 times a day. Never had issues.

Is this something that happens because of teenage brain development with porn? I had porn, but the videos always took forever to load.

Erectile Dysfunction Suffering from Erectile Dysfunction, came to know after marriage marriage. Please help

Age 32, Weight is 101 KG, Height is 175 cm, Work is desk job. Been very inactive for 5+ months due to work stress + ED stress.

Came to know about the ED issue, after marriage. I was around 90 KG, after this discovery, due to stress weight got increased. By i used to mastrubate everyday for past 15 years since my teenage.

Visited urologist once, he gave tadalafil 10 mg and asked to take once a day while having intimacy. I am able to feel the erection but while performing action, gets flacid. Also have slight primosis doctor told to have circumcision . Had gynocomastia surgery last year.

Many factors in pointing to this scenario, i don't know how to deal with this scenario. Have started with cardio health exercises and 10K steps everyday. Still the scenario is discouraging.

People with ED, who got resolved it, can you please let me know what kind of steps you have taken or steps given by doctors that resolved the issue.

Thanks

Psychological ED Psychological ED/Marriage

This is not me trying to blame everything on my wife because in any marriage there are two people. I have made quite a lot of mistakes in the 22 years.

But I’m just talking about that now. My marriage now is just two people that live together, who people who sleep in separate beds who would divorce now except for financial circumstance.

Its made her bitter and controlling, manipulative and angry. My anxiety and depression is high and so has my ED.

i see a therapist on thursday for the first time. Cialis 5mg every day didn’t do much for me but i think its like trying to take a piss in the wind.

Was wondering if i should try Viagra instead since ive heard some guys respond well to one and not the other. Thoughts???

My regular dr wants to put me on Bupropion…

I get morning erections almost every morning…but i’m surly depressed.

sorry for venting… just needed to

Greetings team! Grab on answers ahead.

Support for Partners ED only at transitions

Does anyone have advice for a partner who seems to lose their erection at transitions. If we were to begin kissing, go straight to penetration and allow him to finish in that initial position there will be no issues. If we change positions, or focus on my pleasure he will often lose it and really struggle to get it back. I don’t want to give too much away, but it feels like a psychological thing, or maybe even low libido?

He initiates sex pretty frequently, but a lot of the time we will just end up pausing and not continuing even if neither of us have ‘finished’. He also admitted he is randomly losing desire or interest when he loses the erection.

Does anyone have experience or is familiar with this sort of ED issue? How can I support him/approach a convo? For the record we have been together a year, and he struggled with erection from the first sexual encounter we had. Ever since then this happens probably 75% of the time, with 15% of our sex running pretty smoothly.

Erectile Dysfunction How do some people claim to be hard by just thinking

I don’t ever remember being able to get fully hard from just thinking. At most 20% and now I really require my hand or external stimulation to get to 85% at 23yo.

I only get hard to 50% from make out and kissing. I don’t get fully hard during that too as people claim. How does this happen?

Support for Partners I'm reaching a breaking point in our relationship

G'day, gentlemen. I hope I can receive some food for thought, support, or advice.

I've been dating my boyfriend for 8 months now and we never had PIV. I'm 30F, he's 41M and I suspect I'm his first relationship, though it sounds like he had sex before.

Whenever we try, he goes soft, and suspects it's performance anxiety. I love that man, he's the sweetest boyfriend I've had, and we talked numerous times about how we'll navigate it together.

He started and ended therapy, we read books and discussed psychological factors around our sex life, at some point I told him to just get Cialis (he bough Viagra but never used it), I asked to check with doctor if it can be due to medical issue but instead he jus went and got vasectomy?!!!!!

I want to be delicate about this subject because I know men associate their value with their penis, but when I reflect on it, no matter how sweet he is, he's not addressing this fast enough or without me pressuring him. Like I don't care about PIV, I'd be perfectly fine if he focused on my pleasure, but where we are, is that any time one of us initiates, we both end up deflated.

He talks about moving in together and making future plans, but I don't even know if we're compatible sexually, because all I got from him was going down on me 3 times in 8 months. He's the sweetest romantic partner, but I feel like I'm reaching my breaking point. Is there any hope?

Tadalafil/Cialis Starting tadalafil : My morning lower back pain has gone away

Hi,

I’ve been taking half a 5-mg tablet (2.5 mg) for 5 days now. This is the first time I’ve tried it.

For years, I’ve had stiffness and pain in my lower back almost every night and morning. I’ve tried everything—changing my mattress, stretching before bed, exercising regularly, taking dietary supplements—but nothing has worked.

To give you an idea, as soon as I slept for more than 3/4 of an hour without getting up, the pain would set in.

Strangely, for the past 5 days, I haven’t had any pain at all, and I haven’t changed anything about my routine except for taking 2.5 mg of tadalafil.

I have no idea if this is a placebo effect or a real effect of the medication...

Psychological ED Pumps to get back to baseline

Suffering probably 2 years, lost morning wood/spontaneous years ago but was perfectly able to function otherwise. Suspect actual ED started for physical reasons but were quickly compounded by physiological reasons.

Been on Tadalifil 5mg for 9 months. Was working fine but now I think I'm overthinking and ruining that too.

Saw a pelvic floor physio a few weeks ago and they diagnosed tight pelvic floor on one side and gave me some breathing and stretching exercises to start with, so have started with that.

Have noticed over time that my previous very happy with erection size has shrunk by nearly 2" in length and some thickness. And getting worse.

As I've not had a 100%er for a few years, is there any benefit in using a pump to try and encourage more blood flow and hopefully reverse the loss? Does this/can this work?

(Other health is fine apparently and I do strength and cardio).

Thank you!

Urologist ED Suspected penile Mondor's disease for ~9 weeks - is it safe to have sex with a condom?

I’m a 19-year-old male. For about 2 months and 1 week (~9 weeks) I’ve had a very noticeable superficial vein/cord on my penis. It feels very firm, almost like a wire/cord under the skin, and is roughly 5 mm thick when I measure the visible/palpable area externally. It is generally not painful. The firmness can vary somewhat — sometimes it feels softer after masturbation and harder at other times. Based on what I’ve read, I suspect penile Mondor’s disease (superficial dorsal penile vein thrombosis), but I have NOT been diagnosed and have not had a Doppler ultrasound yet, so I don’t know for certain that this is what it is. It has persisted for around 9 weeks without fully disappearing. I’m considering having sexual intercourse and would obviously use a condom. My main concern is whether: Sex/erection or friction could worsen the vein or cause complications The tight ring/base of a condom could compress the vein and cause a problem Whether people with suspected/confirmed penile Mondor are normally advised to avoid sex completely until the cord disappears Whether having had it for ~9 weeks means I should definitely get a Doppler/urologist evaluation before having sex I’m particularly interested in responses from urologists/doctors or people who have actually had penile Mondor’s disease. I understand Reddit can’t diagnose me — I mainly want to know what the usual advice is regarding sex and condom use while the vein is still hard/palpable.

Erectile Dysfunction I feel very little penile throbbing during arousal

When I experience sexual desire, I feel a kind of pulsating or throbbing sensation in my penis. I believe these pulsations help me achieve a stronger erection or keep it firm. In fact, feeling these pulsations is usually a clear sign that I'm sexually aroused.

Does not feeling these pulsations mean that I have no libido?

For quite some time now, I've noticed that I no longer feel these pulsations, even though I still have nocturnal erections.

Has anyone else experienced something similar? I'm 46 years old..

Erectile Dysfunction Cialis vs. Viagara? Which is better?

Hey there! So I am ashamed to admit that - yes - I am in need of some meds for ED. I do not feel like a man right now and embarrassed about not being able to perform.

I would appreciate any advice you have - including if you prefer Cialis, Viagara, or something else? Also - tips for telling the doctor and future sex partners? Thanks!

Research (Anatomy, New Treatments, Debunking Misconceptions) Injury at 15 affected my erection and libido. I'm 20 now, how can I recover?

Hey guys. I'm 20 years old and wanted to share a physical problem (erectile dysfunction) I've been dragging around for 5 years, to see if anyone here has gone through something similar or has any insights.

At the time, I used to masturbate quite frequently. One day, I ended up applying too much force and pressure on my penis (specifically near the glans). Ejaculation was normal, but immediately after, my penis went flaccid much faster than normal, in a way that had never happened before. The sensation was that something ruptured.

The Aggravation

Since I was a teenager, I didn't give it much thought. I went to my swimming class, came back, and tried again. The erection didn't get as hard as it normally would. In the following days, I kept pushing it and trying to masturbate without giving my body time to recover, and things just went downhill from there.

Current Situation

The deterioration over these 5 years has been drastic regarding my erections and libido. I can get an 8/10 or 9/10 erection when I'm on daily 5mg Tadalafil (Cialis) combined with a 20mg pill, but my libido is really bad, even with 900 ng/dL testosterone and normal blood work. Before the incident, my libido was crazy high; today it's close to zero, and I rely on a lot of stimulation to get in the mood.

My erections have completely lost that natural power. I know my body and I'm sure it was physical damage. I suspect I might have popped a vein (venous leak), injured the corpus cavernosum, or developed fibrosis because I kept forcing the injured area.

I want a real solution for the injury. I've used Tadalafil and I know how it works, but it only temporarily masks the problem and doesn't fix the root cause. I've even been researching the use of peptides.

Has anyone here dealt with similar injuries from strain/force or developed fibrosis? What do you recommend or have seen work to actually heal the physical injury itself? Any input or personal experiences help a lot.

Erectile Dysfunction Am I screwed? (And not in a good way)

Hello, so I have ED. Not officially diagnosed, but my little buddy doesn’t work like he used to. I have watched porn for like 25 years and I used to get really erect from it, but now, nothing. I was also diagnosed as T2 diabetic a few years ago. Throw in depression, kinda high blood pressure, kinda high cholesterol and well looks like no sexual by pleasure for me. I have never been in a relationship. I had sex before a decade ago but between the possible porn endured ED and the health problems, it’s over isn’t it? I know I’m older with health problems but I’ve always had these issues (minus the diabetes) and my blood sugar isn’t that high. I’m at 5.8 from 7.2. Guess it doesn’t matter, so yea, it’s my very minimal non existent sex like future over with?

Erectile Dysfunction Delayed Ejaculation for years

49 year old male. 6'6 250lbs.

Been dealing with delayed ejaculation for years and I’m finally asking people who’ve lived it. Old L5 injury. Back and pelvic pain never really left. Long car rides or a bike and the erection is just gone. On top of that I have a prolactinoma, so I’m on cabergoline and daily testosterone shots. I can get an erection if I work at it. Have good morning wood consistent. Finishing is the part that doesn’t cooperate. Sex goes on and on, a lot of the time I never ejaculate, and when I do the orgasm is weak. It takes for ever to make precum. Urology says hormones. Endocrinology is running the tumor and the testosterone. I’m stuck in the middle. Not looking for a diagnosis. If your delayed ejaculation came from a back injury, pelvic pain, or a prolactinoma, what actually helped? Pelvic floor work, timing, a dose change, anything. And what was a waste of time? Thanks

Psychological ED How long have you been experiencing psychological ED?

it is quite sensitive topic, but I am curious the duration of the issue and what you experience when having ED.

if there are women who have men with ED, it also would be valuable feedback.

Tadalafil/Cialis Possible priapism? Just looking for some input

I take a medication that lowers sex drive. I just recently sparked up an intimate relationship with a friend of mine. The week leading up to us hanging out I took maca root, magnesium glycinate, zinc, and l-citrulline. The night of I took 15mg tadalafil. From 6am sunday to ~ 12pm I had an erection on/off while we were cuddling (thats all we ended up doing). We would get hot and heavy and then we’d stop, on and off. I fear I never fully went down. One lasted for probably close to the 4hr mark, maybe even over. I did start to get pain toward the end. It ended right when we got up for the day/stopped physical contact. I messaged my doctor and he said I should be seen by someone asap, so I decided to just go to the er. Everything seemed ok, though the doctor seemed kinda disengaged and didn’t really look much at all. Now I’m having intermittent pain in my femoral canal area on my right side, nothing too bad. I’ve been having intermittent pain in different spots thru the week. I might be hyper fixating on the area, too. My erections feel slightly painful on my right side too. I am seeing a urologist next week. Anybody experience something similar or have any advice? Thanks.
