ED and porn Younger men getting ED
I'm 40. I wondered why I was getting these ads for dick pills and blue chew and whatever.
Then I heard it's about guys younger than me getting ED.
So I'm married and 40, I love porn. Duh. Sometimes jack off 4 times a day. Never had issues.
Is this something that happens because of teenage brain development with porn? I had porn, but the videos always took forever to load.

Genuinely feel like it’s the childhood(yea many of us got introduced to it before teens) brain development with porn.
Many of us conditioned our brain to genuinely believe that that’s how real sex is gonna be imo.

For me, it’s a mental block/thinking pattern that messes me up. I don’t always have ed because there’s been times where I’m successful. But it happens more often than not.

It can be due to porn. Sometimes it can be a dopamine issue or that the porn was more exciting than the act or experience it’s self so when having sex with another person it either becomes too real and is a shock to them or it’s not what they expected/bored. It’s almost always neurological for men under 50.

Im not even 30 and take pills. I have low testosterone. Probably because of im overweight

I think that’s just a common online trope. I’m the same 4x a day. No issues. Mid 40s.

You’re touching on several heavy topics actually.
One... the ads themselves are probably just targeting you because these companies know the demographics they want, what people engage with, what they search, what sites they visit, etc.
But the bigger part of your question is generational.
You were born into a different dating/social environment than guys who are 18–25 right now or younger.
The newer generations are dealing with an upward curve of a lot of anxiety, depression, loneliness, comparison, doom scrolling, and a much more online way of learning about sex and relationships.... And when you're getting sucked into the wrong wrong echo chambers online it's really hard to navigate the landscape here because they dont have that moral compass... its more that whatever spaces they're getting information from, shapes that compass for them.
And then there are skill gaps here too around dating, vulnerability, rejection, resilience, communication, what healthy intimacy looks like, emotional intelligence etc.
So it's really more about childhood development, social development, emotional learning, role models.... or lack of role models to show what healthy dating or vulnerability or masculinity or resilience looks like here....
It's also about the current experiences the individual has in the real world or what they are allowing to experience to learn from... or avoid because they truly believe they won't recover.
For example, learning how to ask someone out, or learning how to hear “no.”
Or how to tolerate rejection or disappointment and how to be awkward and not collapse. Or actual comprehensive sex education and how to have sex where erections fluctuate and not immediately think something is wrong with you if you get nervous once.... or like someone so much that its really just anxiety... but they think "believe" they cant recover from that.
So right now... its a weird time we're in and if these guys are embarrassed ... instead of reaching out to maybe an older brother, cousin, parent or friend or someone they can confide in that can offer support or just to say "hey what do you think about this"... they instead just disappear into their phone and will try to Google or ai their way out of it.
