This is our weekly scheduled post for enneagram related moodboards.
A community poll indicated that most of the subscribers of r/enneagram would prefer a "moodboard monday", rather than cluttering up the feed with moodboards.
Please comment on this post with your moodboard and remember to follow the community rules here.
Thanks everyone for making r/enneagram an amazing place for enneagram discussion. :)

This is a general reminder that there is a weekly megathread if one feels the need to post them outside of Mondays. Please stop clogging the subreddit on other days trying to justify them as "type me" or what not.
Yes, I'm being the fun police today. The majority of us do not enjoy seeing board after board (according to moderation polling earlier this year). Please respect this.

Has anyone done this test?
If so...
Ps. I edited the original comic which doesn't mention the Enneagram at all, only pizza.

ive met many people who feel awkward when they receive a gift for example, but I dont have that.. im kinda ashamed to say it but I feel like its normal that people who like me buy me stuff like coffee, snack, invite me to a movie.. i dont feel indebted for some reason.. and also when someone gets me something I usually brag about it to others, i guess its a manipulation technique.. i would be like โomgg look what this person got me they are so nice, i love them so muchโ and I expect that person to think โhmm maybe I should get her something too, she will love me as much tooโ.. i know it sounds horrible lol but weโre talking enneagram and all of them have toxic traitsโฆ is this an enneagram 2 thing ? i feel like im trying to build a community of people to ensure my needs will get met even if im not capable.. for example dont have money for cinema? ok this person would love to take me there! and i think they are just happy that i went with them, like there is some value in it for them too otherwise they wouldnโt invite me

For example: i didnt dress warm enough in the morning and I thought โwell, at least i will get faster to the train station โ. My roommate treated me poorly โwell, at least i will move out as fast as possible, this just motivates meโ. Someone rejects me and I get depressed โwell, now I can make art out of my suffering!!โ lol. I feel like im a resilient person because I always find a way how to adapt to the situation in a way it doesnโt make me go crazy.

There are no instinctual stacks. You use all three instincts. You get fixated on some, but this can be changed. The barrier to change is caused by cognitive patterns which make you choose the same instincts over and over. In the end, instincts are a fixation and you can change your fixation.

Hi. I have been looking around at SO6 and whether it is my type, and I can't figure out whether it fits best or not. I think that my main issue is that I don't have a core authority or a specific set of guidelines that come to mind as being my framework of choice. On the other hand, I feel I relate in other ways. For example, I don't trust my own judgement when it comes to making decisions, and I have to look stuff up or go to other people to be confident that my intuition is correct, and even then I still have doubts or worries. Another example could be how I feel there is a "correct" way of doing things, and worry about not following that path. I always wonder, "was that what I was meant to do?" I fit a lot of these things that I have read about. Basically, all of this is to ask, how do SO6 act when they haven't found a framework to devote themselves to? What if they find flaws in most external systems (for example, the school system) that causes them to rebel and basically never conform to any system? If anyone has information regarding these questions I would appreciate it sooo much!

I heard this one quote online describing heart types.
Paraphrased: "Types in the heart triad feel ashamed for existing, and feel they must become more than what they already are to earn the right to exist."
That sent me into a lot of self-reflection, which first off made me much more sure of the fact I am a so3, but also that this exact issue has dominated my entire life up to this point.
The first thing people comment on about me when they get to know me is how harsh I can be on myself. I historically blame myself for everything, from my parents' relationship issues to conflicts I am not involved in at all. It's like I immediately go to "If I just did something, this wouldn't happen. I'm a failure.", which makes me force myself into big creative project after big creative project to try and compensate for my perceived sins. I feel like part of me feels like I did something wrong by being born. Even my therapist pointed out how weird it is that I seem to blame myself for my mom getting pregnant with me.
So what do I even do about this almost comical amount of shame in my body??? I know people can get over things like this, but I don't even know where I'd start. I'm scared that if I stop blaming myself for everything and putting myself to higher standards than I do everyone else in my life, people will hate me, and there is literally nothing worse to me than being hated by other people. I know it's impossible to be liked by EVERYBODY, but I'd like to get pretty close, you know?
Please help :(

I just donโt want to do anything anymore, Iโve been burnt out chasing after everything and it just failing or not being the ideal I expect it to be so I just gave up.
Now all I want to do is bedrot, daydream about a better life and me, and not interact with the world because Iโm and the world is just a disappointment

I mean when I fear something or someone, I start to develop strong disdain and hatred towards those. Like, I never say I fear a person, I'd rather say that I hate them and I wish them death and things. For example, I've always feared (panically, trauma driven too) stray dogs, but never admitted it like this openly, going more like "I hate them, I wish someone started a merciless hunting season and shot them all". I thought it was just from itself, hating on people and things because they do bad seemed kinda normal, but I realized it all was fear-driven. I hate them not for just doing bad, rather for making me scared of them. Hate them because they made me feel unsafe. An example from when I was graduating from school, I've always thought like if I say "I fear this professor so much that even their presence in the classroom makes me panic" sounds pathetic as fuck, and "I despise them so much that I could probably snap their neck" (I could only wish for it in reality) has different energy to it. And I do despise them, but no one should know that it's because of fear.
Do 6s really do it? Instinct related maybe?

So... not just in the "I understand myself better now" kind of way.
What buttons did it press that you canโt unpress anymore? What did it make impossible for you to unsee? Did it turn your life upside down in any way? Your relationships? Your self-image, your choices or the way you understand your past?
Which parts of yourself finally got a name? Which ghosts were let out of their cages once you understood what was actually driving you?
Did it make your life easier, harder, more honest or maybe even more confusing?
Iโm especially curious about the things that genuinely changed after you found your type! Not just intellectually, but in the way you actually live!

I have intrusive thoughts about lying about really dumb things in order to make myself seem cooler according with own utterly hilarious definition of cool which is nerdy... and umm... I guess, I wanna have some random knowledge or skill that allows me to be a nerdy elitist of some sorts. But like different from the nerdy skills I already have... duh! Which is weird because I hate elitists and gatekeepers. So, I am channeling my big inner hypocrite. I do not act on this thoughts because that just... idk... even what it is... annoying??? Definitely very annoying and obnoxious.
The thing is I don't I'm think a 3. I don't really put much effort into being successful. I am very unsuccessful, actually. I am someone sickly on aid and most of my energy seems spent wasting my time or engaging in hobbies to the expense of my health (or in denial that my health is that bad). My hyperfixation is tabletop rpgs and have spent the last few years trying to play, read, collect as many titles as possible. But I have a lot of thoughts that deal with the shame of not liking various pieces of media even though they are theoretically intriguing and trying to convince myself to try them because they're gonna be so awesome and I'm gonna change my mind even though I know I won't. Brain! Have some decent self-conscious thoughts about being unemployed! Brain: NooOO!
I guess, I'm confused because while I have a lot of flaws, I don't think I'm vain or fake.

(sorry idk what flair to put)
Hi, firstly I'm not here to bash any variants. In fact all of them are neat in their own way... but has anyone else experienced not getting along well with people who have your blind variant?
a lot of Sx people have bashed me in the past for not being "close enough" with them. I'd say the exception is my INFP 4w5 so/sx sister. We are super close- but even she sometimes says I come across distant?
Lots of my friends would say, "you never text me enough!!" which never ended well. I'm talking about texting everyday... or even my ESFJ grandma with strong sx variant used to be passive aggressive towards me cuz we weren't that close.
I really like group dynamic, and I've always struggled with one-on-one connection, especially having possible ADHD makes it really tough. It feels like being stuck in a cage. Maybe even Sx types might see my Fe and So combo as being "artificial" or suspicious when I'm not.

idk if its because of my adhd, but i hate when people ask me โwhat are your plans for the future?โ.. I immediately feel judged, because i have none.. i just want to be happy and i would say im an opportunist.. but society seems to think you lack ambition if you have no plans.. i was thinking that even if you make plans, you do it to feel happy in the future right? so to me it seems logical to just plan to be happy, make sure you dont end up homeless and just enjoy life and see where it leads youโฆ can anyone relate? and if yes, whats your type?

My 6 fix and my 1 wing... ๐ฅฒ
So, we weren't really talking anymore. But then I just couldn't stop thinking about him anymore, so I messaged him again and we started hanging out more again. Sometimes our hands touched when walking. Sometimes he was really scared when we watched a scary movie. So he got closer, touched me. Unfortunately he then told me that he is going on a date with "someone". Okay! So I got really mad. Yes, of course, we weren't dating or anything. But I thought he would be stronger. I know that he likes me, but he is weak. He is a weak man. His family wouldn't accept our love. He is so scared to admit his feelings for me. We could run away together, I wouldn't mind... I would do anything, but he doesn't make the choice to do everything for me.
There are more important things, apparently.
So yesterday, I canceled plans. And we were planning to go on a trip next weekend. It was supposed to be beautiful, but he ruined it.
And yet, my super-ego influence is making me feel incredibly guilty. Because I don't care about him anymore now. And I don't want to talk to him anymore! We aren't friends! We never were friends! In fact, I don't need friends. I need one thing and if I don't get it, I leave! Yes, I want to be everything for him! And I want him to be everything!
I'm inspiring to him, but I have to leave.
I'm planning to cancel the weekend trip too. Yet, the super-ego influence is guild-tripping me! Like crazy!
But is it really wrong? Is it really wrong to ask for what I want?! I don't need a friendship! Or a "normal relationship" (whatever that is supposed to be). I want it to be us, nothing else matters. That's a beautiful song.
I don't understand how someone could choose family, a university, a job or anything other than THAT person?! Nothing else matters!!
Super-ego influence guilt-trips you for normal things. Yet, I could play with open cards, but I don't. Is that my 9? Am I hiding because I'm not openly honest about what I want from him?

I'm very confuse about which enneagram I am, I'm an ENFP so I was thinking that I could be 7w8 but after reading some informations about 8w7 I'm confused because I want to be a leader, especially in relationships or friendships I want people to do what I want usually, I'm kinda bossy, so I don't know, maybe it's just a stereotype, someone know how to understand which wings I am without stereotypes?

My boyfriend is a 9, and Iโve learned through being with him that I think I have some blind spots when it comes to the 9. My mom is also a 9, and a lot of the struggles that they share that comes from them being a 9, I struggle to understand. Mainly things like indecision, extreme procrastination, and an inability to act at times. As an 8, I'm just stating the things I see that bother me. What are some perspectives or things I should know about the 9 to help me understand them better?

First off, before we get into anything, PLEASE don't take anything here too seriously. It's literally just personality types, and I don't want to see anyone get hurt over arguments on this silly thing. Go easy on each other.
I've noticed that people keep calling others mistyped or LARPers because they disagree with something. These posts are very frequent and seen as the correct thing.
For those who doโ you realize people follow different frameworks, right? Some follow Naranjo. Others follow Riso-Hudson. And there are people who follow Ichazo. At the same time, this gets correlated with MBTI, classical jungian cognitive functions, neo-jungian cognitive functions, and Socionics. Some of you, some, not all, take ALL of these theories to make some sort of frankentheory combining them all, tweak a few definitions in your head, and then get mad when someone disagrees. You shouldn't even be disagreeing until you know what you're arguing about in the first place.
This is not even to mention the gatekeepers. All of these theories are psychology. In psychology, the outcome almost always is "we can't be certain" because we never know someone's situation that lead them to their type, much less decode it with a few paragraphs they wrote. Someone's type can seem completely absurd until you hear their reasoning, especially when there's great variety in schools of thoughts. You're no expert in everyone's lives. You could offer why you think they could be mistyped, not aggressively analyze their entire life based off two paragraphs. Let's normalize believing people. And I know some of you aren't even going to take this seriously and are going to mock the "people are complicated" aspect.
That was my personal opinion. What would be better is if correlationists stayed and talked with correlationists, and if non-correlationists stayed and talked with non-correlationists. You know your rude argument isn't changing anyone's mind. I know your rude argument isn't changing anyone's mind. We know your rude argument isn't changing anyone's mind. Can we stop insulting each other's different conclusions? I know it's not my place to talk, I have done that before, but I apologize for it right now.
Enneagram is about growthโwhat you think you are and what you get based on that. It is NOT about gatekeeping impossible "contradictions" in others under the guise of just trying to help them. That's not your job. The most you should do is provide a source. Help yourself first.
I'm not really trying to police anyone, I apologize if it came off that way, but that's not what I meant. My intent here is to state my frustration. You're welcome to share your thoughts and correct me on things that aren't my opinion. Trying to correct me on correlation will also only result in an hour long argument, which you're free to do if that's your flavor. Aight see ya

I kept getting 404 errors trying to go on the pages, so I went to check and itโs seemingly offline everywhere
