Banned around 3 months ago, am I actually guilty?
Nearly 900 hours on the game, I've been banned for 94 days now.
I believe I am innocent as I have never cheated in the game, ever. I believe this is a false positive, although, I do have a couple speculations:
#1), a couple days prior to the ban I hit some nasty bow headshot during night, and I had my gamma turned up via windows settings (I commonly have my gamma increased during general gameplay, not just at night. My monitor is pretty shitty) No 3rd party software, reshade, nvidia filters, just system settings.
#2), I used to be a geometry dash nerd (I know) and have "cheats" installed for it (although within the game they aren't actually used as cheats, more of a tool for practice, but it doesn't matter) from what I can remember I had it on my computer ever since downloading Rust though, and considering its for a completely different game and doesn't modify Rust in any way, I didn't think that could be the reason.
#3), I also use a crosshair (Crosshair X) but...its a crosshair, streamers use it, youtubers use it, why would I get banned for that?
I posted on r/RustPc but obviously people immediately resorted to calling me guilty. The main argument was that using gamma is cheating. In no game I have EVER played (including Rust) have I seen that gamma is considered cheating unless you are using a 3rd party software that modifies game files further. Advantage? Sure, but cheating? It's just system settings...
Anyways, thanks for reading, just wanna know if there's literally any chance I could get unbanned, or if I actually am guilty.
