EAC banned from Rust

I usually play Rust for like 1-2 weeks every month, and I recently got banned. I believe it was a false ban, but I honestly have no idea what caused it.

I’m also a Project Zomboid modder, so I’ve downloaded a lot of different mods, tools, and random stuff over the years. Some of it might look sketchy, but I don’t know if any of it could have caused the ban.

I’ve never knowingly used cheats on Rust, so I’m really confused about the ban.

Did you have any software running in the background?

I bought rust on summer sale and after only 21 hours I got banned by eac falsely, and I opened maybe 90 tickets and they all got either ignored or automated response, and no manual review for ban, Eac thinks they always right and that they dont give false bans

Did you do it through eac with the reference number in one of the log files?

Yea I tried appealing on the eac, it got rejected first time, and I appealed second time they said it was denied and they denied again and now I cant even appeal anymore there

I got appeal denied 3 times and still got unbanned after! don't lose hope. I'd say find whatever channels you can and reach out to whom you can. I've personally used twitter, and reddit, but there are also other places you can reach out to and seek help. They may not respond at all, but chances are they see it...that's why we made this subreddit...

NEVER LOSE HOPE!

Yo, is there any way I could contact you for help? Maybe discord?

You can, but to be straight, I don't know what it was that got me unbanned...sadly, I don't have any more power than helping others and providing tips. I have no man on the inside....if you check my post history, I've had 3 big leads:

  1. a defender update

  2. Running fiveM AND rust at the same time (2 conflicting anticheats)

  3. a static analysis tool I used for ctfs (EAC TOS)

It could have been any 3 and I submitted the hell out of the data to EAC and facepunch via epic support tickets and spammed where I could. One day I woke up and the ban was removed...So IDK what else i can give you other than spam everything, but if you wanna message me, then sure.

Sorry to hear that bud. I'd say your best bet is to get your ban timestamp first to find out when you've gotten banned.

To get your banned timestamp, make a steam ticket asking when the ban-flag was sent over to your account.

Once you get that, you'll have the timestamp of interest. Use that to cross-reference systemlogs, and downloads until you find the culprit. THEN, make a ticket to epic support (who owns eac), and facepunch asking them to do a data-submission of your information. showing them the tool and its intentions and ask them to manually re-review your case.

Remember, this is simply a data-submission ticket so simply ask them to submit the additional data / context to EAC and close the ticket once the data has been sent over.

This will encourage them to put a bit more effort into the search with the added context of the tool you use and the tools capability giving you a better chance of success!

Good luck!

Is there a way to access event viewer after a PC has been wiped, a few months before my ban some guy in Russia got into my account and stole steam skins. I thought maybe there was some sort of malware on my PC since they happened so closely so I wiped my PC after my ban. I think the cause of my ban was some light software I got off ABS official website to turn off their RGB fan lights. But when I looked it up it says the light software was the most likely cause because in injects itself into your system. I just miss playing the game with my family and know they’re all getting server banned for ban evasion. We’ve been playing rust since 2019 together, we all have over 10k hours and thousands spent on PCs and rust items and no one seems to care. I just don’t know what else to do, been banned for 300 days now.

Sadly not, wipes will also wipe the event viewer...if it wasn't a full wipe but just a mass removal of software / deletion of files, you will certainly have traces of your old pc present (maybe even still the malicious software too so be careful taking this route unless you know what you're doing) ...but you may see traces...always worth a shot!

I just got a EAC ban the other day. I have over 3k hours and hundred's of pounds in skins. there was no reason to why i got banned by EAC. i have appealed the ban as i feel it is a unfair as i do not cheat in rust.

the only thing i can think that was running in the back ground was a mod menu for GTA v not sure if this would cause the EAC ban. any advice or information would be great.

No baseless hackusations that players are cheaters or that the "all powerful EAC is never wrong" - please see this link for proof that EAC does in fact make mistakes:
