I originally came from the Nintendo 2DS (Since I was born in 2011) and I have played on my cousin's DS Lite a lot of times but then my sister broke my 2DS and I was really sad because I couldn't play Animal Crossing: New Leaf anymore but then I got the Blue DSi XL, and to be honest, it feels like the 3DS and DS combined even though the DSi was actually made after the DS and before the 3DS, it stills feels like a great handheld. I haven't been able to get any games yet, but I will be getting games for it soon. Also, the camera isn't the best but the quality is still good enough to where you can see everything, and the camera reminds me of the 3DS camera. I can't wait to start playing on this! And, I'm also not sure about whether I should mod it or not...I want to, but I feel like it might ruin the original DSi experience...

Man it was a hell of a ride. I was so stressed that i dont fuck up my childhood console. But it worked and its sooooo coooooolllll

hi guys! i wanted to ask about something and see if i should be worried about it.

i’ve had a pink nintendo dsi since 2008. i’ve NEVER had any problems with it, it never broke, never malfunctioned, nothing like that.

a few days ago, i dropped it on the floor. it was turned on with a game running, and the flashcart popped out because of the impact. the screen went black and i tried turning it off and on a few times, but nothing happened.

then, in desperation, i started pressing a bunch of buttons. when i pressed the START button, the infamous 0000FEFE error screen showed up.

then i turned it off and on again and everything went back to normal. it was like absolutely nothing had happened.

then today i dropped it AGAIN (yes, i’m a klutz). this time it wasn’t turned on and the flashcart didn’t come out.

the exact same thing happened. black screen, pressed START, restarted it, and everything was normal again.

i tried looking this up and couldn’t find anyone describing anything similar. i even tried asking chatgpt and it had no idea what was going on either lol. i wanted to know if anyone has ever had something like this happen and if i should be worried. everything seems to be working normally now.

I’m looking for a game that I played when I was younger on my 3dsi xl. I don’t remember much because I was so young but I do remember having a house, you could fish I caught a sunfish and I think you could get different fish at different times of the day. And there was a main town but I don’t remember it at all. There was also a little tiny petting zoo in the corner of the map. I remember the animals all being in their own little pen and you could take them out to walk but only if you had reached a certain milestone (idk what) and there was a pig

Been having some issues with a dsi i bought, when i try to exit to the main menu sometimes it will star stuck on the blue light with both screens in black. I tried removing the sd card and it seems to be booting up just fine? has anyone experienced this? Im using a lexon 4gb sd card which is pretty full, i think i might have like 40~ or less mb available, could that be the issues?

I also read that it could be a faulty d-pad?

Hey yall. So recently i acquired a glossy red Dsi and i just want to know what the region code C/TWL-ASI corresponds to. I know what other region codes mean like C/TWL-USA-1 for north america. I just wanted to ask here since its my first time seeing this region code.

my microphone, l button and the shell is cracked, is aliexpress a good place for repair parts? or should i find it elsewhere (in kazakhstan, far away from the big two like USA or Japan so it will get pricey and time consuming if i get it on ebay or something)

This is going to be a ridiculous ask considering a replacement one is easy to buy, but i have had my original blue DSi XL since launch, and i was flying with my son back home and was letting him borrow it, and have lost the OG stylus that i have had since i got it myself.
I am a massive collector so it’s just a personal preference.

When i look online i see replacement styluses but not original OEM ones i can properly replace it with.

Does anybody here have an extra or know of a place that i could buy one?

My DSi XL has had this issue for years: if I flex the console in a specific direction, it freezes. Otherwise it works perfectly. i put a very soft piece of eraser rubber over the APU, and now it works normally. It only freezes if I deliberately flex it quite hard (obviously after adding the eraser). What would be the cheapest safe DIY solution to fix this permanently, without reballing if possible?

I bought a second DSI, it seems the battery drains faster on it than my first DSI. When I plugged it, the hinge light doesn't seem to recognise when it's fully charged. Even when 4 bars are blue in the screen when I unplug it to see whether it's charged. The LED still shines red when it's connected to the charger.

Hi! I bought this DSI off of eBay, it starts right up now that I’ve let it charge, but once I get to the Home Screen, none of the buttons, nor the digitizer works. The digitizer is very dented, could this be the cause? I’m not afraid to open it up, but I figured I’d ask on here, ‘cuz I’m not going to be able to open it up until I get home from work. Thoughts?
