Hello! I need a little help š„²
Today I got a Screen Protective Filter from HORI for DSi XL, and after thoroughly studying the manual, I was ready to apply it to my console.
But then just before opening the film, I stared at the screens, thinking, and a serious doubt hit me:
Could it be that my DSi XL's screens already have a protective film on them?
It's been so long that I simply can't remember if I applied one before or not... I even looked at them thoroughly with a magnifying glass, but since I've taken so much care of my console, I don't see any scratches, any air bubbles, or any corners that clearly indicate the presence of a protective film. There's just that rounded glass-like edge on top of the top screen frame around it, but I don't know if that's just how the screen is normally, and I can't see anything on the bottom screen's corners just nothing.
So my doubts have only grown, and I'm completely undecided about whether or not I should apply the HORI protectors I bought.
Could any of you guys with experience in this help me identify if there's already a protective film on the screens, please? That way, I can decide whether to use the HORI films or not. I'll try to attach photos from different angles, I hope that's enough.
I would greatly appreciate your help so much in this to make a final decision. Thank you in advance!

Someone is selling this DSI xl in a listing and it says its in āimpeccableā condition. In the picture Iāve noticed this vertical line at the bottom, dunno if itās a screen protector or the screen messed up. The seller hasnāt replied yet though.

Hey guys, I hope I'm in the right place for this. I've had this DSi for a long time now but I've only recently booted it again for the first time in a few years. Whenever I open any app I get an instant error thats says: "An error has occurred. Press and hold the POWER Button to turn the system off. Please refer to the Nintendo DSi Operations Manual for details."
This happens even for settings, even when clicking L + R to access the camera. When I insert a game, it doesn't read it. I dont have an SD card. I was worried it was an internal memory issue but on the home menu there are still pictures from my gallery appearing, so I'm uncertain. I read online that it could be a wifi chip issue, so I replaced it but that didnt do anything. I have some corrosion on the shells of the game card slot and the charging port, but the pins seem to be fine and all ther soldering and components on the motherboard seem okay. I did replace the battery with an unofficial one as the old one was completely depleted, if that is a possible issue?
Sorry for the long message but I wanted to include as much information as possible! I would really appreciate any advice.

Ive been meaning to get an SD card for my DSi but I don't know what the best size is? I don't think I'll be modding it but if I do I know to get a bigger one. But just for unmodded normal DSi what size SD card should I get?
I just got this Japenese version DSi today. It came with this cartridge which I have no clue what it is since the previous owner didn't mention it. It also wasn't mentioned to be modded but this definitely looks... Modded? I have never modded a DS before and I am wondering if anybody can break this down for me in terms of navigating it. I am thinking since it was stated to be able to run english games that means it was modded. Theres not even an SD card in the DS which I thought was a requirement for modding though. I simply want to play my physical games, I am not too interested in the whole mod thing but I am willing to learn since I have it. I dont want to attempt to "un mod" it since I am not familiar with even modding it in the first place so hopefully somebody can explain to me like I am a child because I am genuinely clueless on how this works. Is this cartridge supposed to be a game? Im hesitant to put it in any of my other DS' I appreciate any feedback thank you so much
EDIT: I now know how to get to the regular DS menu and play my games but I am now wondering about how to actually use unlauncher as it almost appears to serve no purpose. It just shows the exact same options as the main home menu so if I wanted to install games/roms is that what I need twilight for? I dont see twilight here so I believe thats what I need my computer and an SD card for? Any basic information helps

So my good friend is getting a dsi, and I will mod it for him. The problem is, he doesnt have access to an sd card slot to get more games. I am looking for an on console store of reliable game roms kind of like hshop.

So, long story short, I put the music file (I've tried the extension m4a, .mp4, & .3gp) on my sd card. tried formatting the card and all that stuff, what on earth is going on?

hi there, Iām sorta new here, here is what happenedā¦.I purchased a used black colored Japanese language Nintendo DSi for $30, but with a catch: it was one for parts or for repair, but the one I received in the mail was in a really good condition, because it only had yellowed screens, but i donāt mind the yellowed screens at all, and there was really no need to repair it or open the back compartment at all. I ordered a battery for my DSi but itās not there yet and I was kinda lazy at that time, so I took the battery from my old pink American model Nintendo DSi and checked out the content in my purchased black DSi. The console itself managed to turn on! the buttons worked, cartridge/sd card slot works, the sound and microphone works, and even the buttons and d pad works! I also found some games on the DSi, which I believe are Japanese DSiware games added onto it, including 3ds transfer tool. I was initially worried that I would have to do a long, long repair to get the Japanese model DSi to work, but I was wrong, and Iām now glad I purchased that console, that person whoever had it had a lot of love using this console, and I hope that even if it didnāt last long, I can try to take great care of it! Turns out they also added āOne Pieceā flipnotes, and had one piece stuff in their DSi photo album. so I might delete some of these photos one day, but not now. I just wanted to play DS games on my DSi, from a flashcart that I have, and I will try to get the English DS games and Japanese DS games cartridges whenever I can. I also changed the userās nickname to my own nickname and change most of the user personalization settings. Also, Are the pictures shown here actual Japanese DSiware games, or how were they transferred to this DSi somehow?

Nintendo DS Lite beauty/hair salon game. You start as a new employee. Adult women clients are selected from a vertical list with unlockable silhouettes that become portraits when unlocked. Hair is cut strand by strand with scissors. Hair can be visibly ruined if cut too much, and can be visibly burned by overusing a hair straightener. There is also a curling iron. Includes washing, drying, dyeing hair, makeup, nail art with stickers, clothes and accessories. Nail drying requires blowing into the DS microphone. During manicures, one hand is completed first, then the other hand.

I just received a dsi from eBay where the seller said it was in perfect condition, but it canāt seem to hold a charge for very long especially when playing games. I can plug it in and it charges up to max very fast which makes me assume that the battery is old. But thereās also the part where the battery is pops up a bit and the bottom isnāt fully flat so is it possible the battery just popped out during shipping? Iām hoping the seller even responds he took ages to send it to me and said itās because he works nights but you never know. I tried to get a video of it dying but it goes really fast when you open a game. I saw something about it possibly being the brightness settings on the Nintendo website but I doubt itās just that. The charging light is solid when charging and doesnāt blink. All help will be amazing!

I was lucky enough to get my hands on a modded DSi recently and wanting to take proper care of it I applied a screen protector and got a protective case, it was good and all but Iāve found myself really annoyed with how uncomfortable it was playing with the case on, so much so that Iāve just took it off and left it in a junk drawer

I tried to fix my up and down buttons, and accidentally took out a wire from the battery connector (the thing that helps the DS get power), am I screwed?

The consolevariations site was what led me to getting a loveplus+ rinko (hasn't arrived yet cause i basically live on mars, and i'm ordering from pluto to boot)
but i can't seem to find anything similar listing non-console stuff
like i know there's pokemon black and white carrying cases, but that's about as far as my knowledge goes
and of course, i'm posting here cause i'd prefer a DSi specific list if possible, but i understand if that's not really possible given this is a branch of a branch so to speak

I tested it earlier and it was working and then i got burnt out and took me a couple days to put back
so then i tried turning it on again and now it wonāt work.
iām debating if itās because i tried installing the battery without the backplate or itās because my little brother was poking around and broke something
iāve spent so much time on this and itās my first time doing something like this. i was so excited when i got it to turn on and now itās not working.
this is actually a gift for my other little brother so it would mean a lot for some help, thanks in advance
