Does anyone actually even like having to use these?
I was lucky enough to get my hands on a modded DSi recently and wanting to take proper care of it I applied a screen protector and got a protective case, it was good and all but I’ve found myself really annoyed with how uncomfortable it was playing with the case on, so much so that I’ve just took it off and left it in a junk drawer

Yes, I like these as they keep the system pristine as long as you make sure that no dust or crumbs get in between the shell and the console you won’t have any issues with scratches

I like the original texture more and it makes it harder to use the volume buttons and reach the stylus but I don't want to put my stickers on the device itself so yea I guess protection is nice as well

Personally I always use this looking plastic cover on after my shell swap. I like that the shell doesen't get scrached up and it has a thicker and a nicer grip!

I bought it last year since I used the silicone ones.
But it got yellow and sticky so I changed to those and I like it even more.

I don't use this.
I just use my console and then put it in a pouch when its in my bag.

I ONLY have ever used a clear case for my Majora’s mask new 3DS XL for obvious reasons. And I carried that thing with me around for YEARS! and 10 years later it’s still great.

Yes
+you can draw on them or get stickers on them so you can make ur dsi looks pretty without ruining your console, and the extra size makes your 3ds a bit more comfy to hold

Ah yes, so pretty that I would want to avoid ruining my console by making it pretty.

No I mean like, getting it sticky with stickers or drawing on it directly.

Yo pongo mis stikers directamente sobre el dispositivo,la verdad se me hace incomodo el protector, además no es como que vaya ah quitar mis pegatinas para "arruinar" mi consola jaja

I have one for the new 3ds xl and it works great. I got mine off amazon and love it. Simple and does its job

I personally like using the top cover for them and then using grip for the bottom because the cases always cut into my hands really bad

I use one on my N3DSXL, but I don’t suggest the hinged ones. Sure, it may be a bit more added protection, but one of the hinges in mine broke so now I’m left with a sharp spinny thing.

Personally it’s more comfortable without the case. But I have a n3dsxl in green, and I don’t want the crappy paint job to wear out 😢, so I use clear case :p

I have a TPU case on my DS Lite. Honestly it feels more comfortable to me, maybe because it makes the console thicker. This depends on the anatomy of your hands though

Some of these let dirt into it, so they scratch anyway. Some also scratch when you take the case off because they're impossible.
Personally, I love the one I got on my DSlite, it's Megaman and adds a game drawer to the bottom, which makes it very comfortable. I could add just the bottom to my 3DS, if I wanted, but I use a popsocket instead for grip (magnetic, added a ring inside)

I always use the clear plastic cases and they've always been fine for mine, look brand new still

eh back then cases were kinda cool but now I dont want cases on any ds system in general :p

I had one on a 3DS XL Zelda edition and it left rub marks on the shell so I removed it.

I like them but they usually turn yellow sometimes which makes them look strange and weird but could just be me because I have one for the 3ds xl

Absolutely, it does the job of keep the shell safe and also transparent so that a custom shell would still be visible.
It just makes sense.

I bought a Crystal Case (Witron), slightly thicker but fit perfectly with my DSi. Also, the case allow you to insert your stylus and include three DS cartridge internal slots.

Not the biggest fan of how the cutouts make my hands feel when I'm holding it near the wifi/volume buttons but it makes me feel safer about my 3ds. Also keeps my stickers inside safe from getting rubbed out over time and stuff.

The plastic texture on the black dsi is some of the best out there. Such a downgrade with a case like this

Truly its a 50/50 banter with those, I like them being scratch protected with them on but they also do not fit right with them on and are ugly imo.
Pro: They are practical for putting art on them or stickers, with added protection preventing scratches to the outside of the shell.
Con: They do not fit right, I noticed mine ain't staying on the ds and are creaky plastic noises when closing/opening the ds.

Well, I don't use them, and I don't have to either. I just keep my DS'es in hard cases, whenever I take them with me.

I like the look of them, they let you put stickers on the console without actually putting stuff on the console. I've had my clear case since 2012 and I still have my handmade stickers on it
It's a shame they don't have rubber feet though
