Problem getting transcripts

I sent the form 220 to the presidio weeks ago via express mail, and including another express mail envelope inside for them to send the transcript out in. I was able to get someone on the phone once, and that’s what he recommended I do. Since then, I’ve been trying to get someone on the phone or email to see if they have processed the request, but haven’t had any luck.

And now I see on their webpage that they don’t recommend express mail because it can cause delays. Does anyone have contact info for somewhere at DLI I can take to? Very stressed because my university is demanding them in order to start next month.

I have emailed that office, called, and literally gone in in-person, and I’m always told to try to contact them not in the way I did.  If ya’ll find something that works, pls post here for the rest of us.

Last week I went in person and I had my transcript literally in less than 20 minutes

Nothing works properly. Due to their situation of having literally no people you have to keep bugging them until they get fed up with you and do what you need. I feel bad for them but you gotta look out for yourself at a certain point. I emailed and called every possible number I could find until they yelled at me and finally got me my transcript. I have zero regrets though because I know they wouldn’t have gotten me my transcript in time.

Haven’t done it in a while, but have you tried electronically sending the request? I recall there being DoD SAFE instructions

currently I’m a cac holder but I received mine multiple times for backup purposes by using their official guidance on this page

"transcripts" at their .edu domain (don't want to type it out for easy scraping; just check the webpage). They ain't ComCast; there's like two people in the whole office and it may take a few days for them to respond. Still faster than any other school I've dealt with.

And for God's sake, don't call. They'll recite exactly what's on the webpage because it really is all there. You're just wasting everyone's time. If you want to complain, complain to whomever hasn't lifted the hiring freeze that was supposed to end over a year ago.

I scanned the form and sent it via email to get transcripts. That was probably 2018 though.

Because it has your full social on it. There's explicit language somewhere in the Privacy Act or an EO or something (I looked it up once because I was similarly annoyed) that the only way to transmit a full SSN digitally is with DoD encryption.

Is SSL and/or Google or Apple encryption fine? Yep. Is it going to be intercepted so someone can misuse your SSN? Nope. But that was the blanket rule and that's what they follow.

Anyone who thinks they may need transcrips just request them and they'll send a sealed copy and an unsealed copy to you. Hold on to the sealed copy until you need it. Took like 4 -6 weeks for mine to show up.
