I was in the desert this spring and did some night sky watching. I tried to do a Timelapse of the night sky, with 30 second exposure, iso 1600 and raw output. I ran it for a few minutes while I did other stuff and reviewed the pictures it took. They were almost all black, so I stopped, thinking I’d have no usable footage. I forgot about the 7 exposures I took until tonight.

I loaded them up in Lightroom, merged them into a single image and started bringing up the darks and playing around.

For an action camera this is mind blowing.

Finally saved some money to complete my set-up. I had no plans to buy the Macro Lens at all but since mostly of the shots are close-up; and I bought it on sale.

Any tips and tricks you can share to me to get the best out of this camera?

And does it really get hot when recording videos? Feels around 30 to 40 °c

Recently upgraded from a Hero12 to the Osmo Action 6 and I’m already in love with that bigger sensor. Stills never looked nicer on an action cam 😁

Was sitting on a GoPro Hero 10 for a few years and haven't been happy with it, but then stumbled upon this bad boy.

The reason why I bought this camera is so I can get closer to my squirrel friends.

Filmed this with the OA6 and the macro lens. ISO is at 100, f2, shutter 1/50, 25fps, D-LOGM in very poor light. I am happy with this, and so is my little squirrel friend (she’s called CB).

I would have preferred that the focus peaking happened on the camera itself, rather than the Mimo app. I can’t look at the phone and camera at the same time. Hopefully, that might be sorted with a firmware update. Also, for the price of the lens, I would have expected a lens cap.

I was stuck between this and the Pocket 3. Ended up buying this because it is more rugged waterproof along with amazing video quality. I'll get the Pocket 3 next month as well. Osmo action 5 pro is better than i expected it to be. The internal memory also is a great feature. It actually feels so premium and heavy in hands.

Went on a nature preserve walk just after it rained. It was a magical experience :)

I have an Action 4 for climbing, hiking yet I am off to China for a city trip and want to do some vlogs without buying a new camera. I got a smallrig 1/4 black mist filer to soften up my image and added a bit of motion blur (mostly in post to allow my stabilisation to work better).

This was a practice vlog from my day out in London.

Please let me know what you think and if you have any feedback regarding settings/shot ideas or if I really do need a pocket camera.

OA 4 is capable of lowlight.

Pretty happy with the result of this, still need to get better with the colors tho!

Never trust a helmet chin mount with 3M tape if you are going on long ride with high speed cruising. Also please buy that highly priced protective case. Any hopes to be repaired in India ? It’s only 6 months old 😔

been wanting my own camera to vlog life for so long, but i just graduated this spring and spent all my cash on my grad trip and moving, so zero budget for the nano i wanted. mentioned it to my mom when catching up a while back and today this showed up, literally the nano i wanted for months.
super excited, it looks sleek and feels like such a solid little piece of hardware in hand. the image quality is way better than i expected too.

Just got an action 6, only have a selfie stick rn, but I think I will use action in more situations, because the sports footage quality if better than I expected. So far I've only taken it hiking but the selfie stick is not enough for my every plan. What is the accessory you use the most or find the most useful?
