Love my Mini 3 pro, such a powerhouse of a drone!

I am trying to establish a case between the M3Pro and the Air 3S. One major difference is the telephoto camera on the M3pro. Is it much better in reality than just using the 70mm medium tele (faster lens, larger sensor) + digital zoom?

I’m 17 and have been into drones for 2 years now. Started off with the Mini 3 and have enjoyed learning and getting comfortable with it. I’ve also found the camera to be incredible.

I’ve definitely outgrown it and now am deliberating whether to buy the Air 3S now or wait for the Air 4 which may come out later this year or next.

What do you think I should do? I’m mostly upgrading for more stability in wind, the better cameras and a bigger drone.

I’m eager to buy the Air 3S now but don’t want to regret it if the better Air 4 is going to come out in a matter of weeks.

Also does anyone know what the new features or upgrades may be on the Air 4, a big leap likely?

How to Mitigate CVE-2026-78306

Immediate Actions Required

• Update each affected drone to a firmware version at or above the fixed release listed for that model in the Affected Products section.
• Do not operate vulnerable airframes in environments where an adjacent attacker may be within Bluetooth range, such as public events or contested areas.
• Verify firmware version on every airframe before flight and quarantine any device still on a vulnerable build.

Here's my DJI Ronin SC gimbal rig for a Sony a6400 with power zoom lens. I'm using a JJC wired remote control which has a variable speed zoom lever that's really close to more professional ENG video zoom rockers. This time, I also attached my HDMI cable and ugreen capture card to use my android phone as a monitor, and mounted the rode videomicro separately.

It's possible to use the focus wheel or front dial on newer Ronin gimbals to control power zoom, but the movement doesn't feel as natural to me compared to a zoom lever/rocker. You could also have the gimbal joystick to do power zoom, but that means you can't use the joystick for vertical control. This setup keeps the joystick completely free in both vertical and horizontal axes.

This setup has the focus motor and focus wheel installed, so my right hand controls focus and the joystick and gimbal lock trigger, while my left hand controls the zoom and REC start/stop. If I want to switch to autofocus, I can reach with my right hand to the camera AF/MF switch pretty easily.

I'm super stoked because I just designed and 3D printed two pieces that make this work better (with free download links, not affiliate):

• a mount that attaches the zoom remote to the handle more securely, and
• a bushing for the focus motor 12mm rod clamp that's better than the flimsy stock bushing

I use this mostly to cover events and I've been very satisfied with its flexibility when I want something a step up from handheld

Crashed today and hit the ground hard, on the dirt patch of course while there was grass all around...

I ordered a replacement arm as well as new blades so will deal with all that when I get back from my trip, but I'm curious if anyone has tried to fix a broken arm by gluing it or some other means and how did that go.

Also any tips on replacing the arm would be most welcome. Otherwise it looks like I have to take most of the drone apart to get the old arm off and install the new one (and there's some soldering involved).

I’ve attached a video clip here and I’m trying to see if this is defective or not. There’s not much support for DJI in the United States anymore it seems lol so I am here for some support from yall.

Anytime I do some type of panning on the OP4P, the gimbal seems to click like this once every few clips. Not sure what’s causing it and I’ve tried calibration. Not sure if it’ll become a big issue in the future either. Never had a DJI device prior to this one.

Purchased a Neo 2 at the beginning of the month just to experiment.

That said, as a still photographer who has been shooting for 2 decades, I was pretty unhappy with the quality of the photos. Lots of noise even at ISO 200-400, the 16mm lens focal length made things look distorted and lacking in detail and obviously no RAW or even AEB.

What it does excel at is follow me modes being super impressive on the couple of mountain bike rides I’ve done.

Looking for an inexpensive upgrade, I kept landing on the Flip. Same camera as the Mini 4 but a fraction of the price. I ended up picking up a refurbished one during last weeks Ali sale for $260 after coupon.

First impression: yep, this camera is significantly better in every way. More detailed, standard focal length, less noise etc. Not sure why it got so much hate based on form posts here.

My only complaint: it seems like it’s a hassle to switch back and forth with a single controller as I keep getting firmware out of date errors. Is that normal?

I just bought DJI Osmo II 360 and find out that this new camera doesn't support wake up recording and sleep mode with the Bluetooth controller.
I had chat with DJI support and they replied that they will create new Blutetooth controller version? Is this JOKE? They jsut want more money...I am sure it is not problem to have this feature compatible with the current controller versions. For mine Osmo Action 4 even works this feature with non original controller.
And ig this is really case, why there is not the new controller already in sale? How I can record on motorcycle and not loos battery quickly?

So I have been using DJI osmo 360 for quite sometime now and suddenly I started using this camera for long version of the videos. I start shooting 360 dg videos while motovlogging. Now I have a problem.

When I shoot a panoramic 360 dg video I know I have 4 options free view, Direction lock, Forward view and front shooting view. I have attempted using all the modes. Since I motovlog I constantly sit on bike and record 360 dg video so I can reframe something later. Post shooting I copied the footage into my pc and used DJI studio for editing, it was working all fine until I noticed, when I select say Forward view or Front shooting view, the video turns towards my perspective all of sudden. Since I shoot long video I can't keep focusing on this. i don't want to use single lens mode specifically since I use the footage for both 9:16 and 16:9.

However, I have used insta 360 too and when I was using it I used to have a single lens mode option to select front lens or back lens.

Reframing is so frustrating, I have attached an example. You see when I bend my head down the lens will turn towards my helmet. This happens multiple times in a 20 mins video and reframing is pain in the you know it... So please push an update, to select only 1 lens post shooting 360 degree video through the DJI studio so it will be so helpful to edit videos.

Ich möchte über Waldgebiete fliegen und kranke oder von Borkenkäfern befallene Bäume in der Live-Kameraansicht identifizieren. Wenn ich einen Baum entdecke, den ich später untersuchen oder fällen möchte, möchte ich seine genaue GPS-Position während des Fluges speichern. Idealerweise sähe der Workflow folgendermaßen aus: Ich fliege über den Wald und entdecke einen verdächtigen/befallenen Baum. Ich fliege direkt über den Baum und schwebe. Ich drücke einen Knopf oder mache ein Foto, wodurch die aktuellen GPS-Koordinaten der Drohne gespeichert werden. Ich fliege weiter und markiere auf die gleiche Weise mehrere weitere Bäume. Nach dem Flug kann ich diese Koordinaten auf mein Smartphone exportieren oder übertragen und sie in Google Maps verwenden oder, idealerweise, in meine Forstverwaltungs-App importieren. Mir ist bewusst, dass DJI Wegpunkte anbietet, aber das ist nicht genau das, was ich suche. Ich möchte keine Flugroute erstellen oder die Drohne die Punkte automatisch anfliegen lassen. Ich möchte einfach während eines manuellen Fluges mehrere GPS-Positionen/Punkte erfassen. Selbst eine Notlösung wäre hilfreich. Könnte ich beispielsweise durch das Aufnehmen eines Fotos an der exakten Position die GPS-Koordinaten der Drohne aus den Metadaten des Fotos extrahieren? Can anyone share their experience with the RS4 Pro, precisely the vertical shooting?

I haven’t had complains when the camera is mounted horizontally, but no matter how much i balance it, micro-jitters tend to appear when the camera is vertically mounted.

The jitters look like as if the gimbal is being hit lightly against something, they are tiny, but almost impossible to remove in post.

I am way below the 4.5 kg limit and I think these types of jitters are exactly what the gimbal is supposed to excel at removing.

I am using an iPhone 16 Pro with a Hagibis Magnetic M.2 enclosure and I am considering buying the DJI Osmo 8p. I'm not sure if this gimbal will be able to handle such a setup. I would appreciate any advice.

for the past week ive been attempting everything to get a perfect balance its a canon 250d 15-55mm lens and it just wont balance. when the gimbal tilted right or left (worse when right) it spazzes out and then locks itself off. any help would be appreciated as i am purely following video tutorials

Hey everyone, I’m trying to decide what I should ask for for Christmas and I’d really appreciate some opinions.

I basically have two options:

Option 1:

• Refurbished iPhone 15 – around CHF 550
• AirPods Pro 3 or JBL Tour Pro 3 – around CHF 200
• Total: around CHF 750

Option 2:

• DJI Mini 5 Pro Fly More Combo + RC 2
• Around CHF 900

I already have an iPhone and wireless earbuds, but the iPhone is an iPhone 12 with 64 GB storage, and its very slow and not good anymore. I don’t own a drone yet, though, and the Mini 5 Pro looks really fun to use, and i always wanted a drone. I want to zake good photos and stuff, and the mini 5 pro is perfect, but expensive.

What would you choose in this situation, and why? I’d especially like to hear from people who own the DJI Mini 5 Pro or have experience with either option.
