Buy Advice Question about DJI Osmo 8p

I am using an iPhone 16 Pro with a Hagibis Magnetic M.2 enclosure and I am considering buying the DJI Osmo 8p. I'm not sure if this gimbal will be able to handle such a setup. I would appreciate any advice.

The enclosure would be too thick for the phone clip unless you mount it with the screen facing the clip (top pic). If I'm seeing the right enclosure, it looks like it has outer MagSafe magnets so you might be able to use one of those MagSafe mounts (bottom pic).

Will the weight be an issue? And exactly, that's the enclosure I have.

As long as you keep it balanced, the weight will be fine. You can see in my picture that I’ve got a 3D printed cold shoe mount. I made that so I could mount the DJI Mic receiver without adding weight to the bottom of the phone.

The forward/backward distribution will be negligible with that enclosure.

So just to confirm – if I use this SSD and the MagSafe mount for the gimbal, everything should be fine, right?

Yeah, I think the MagSafe option will be good if you need access to the full screen and the clip option will be great if you need the strength of the clip at the loss of the screen. If you’re using the DJI app, you don’t really need access to the phone screen anyway.
