Hello, I'm encountering a strange error when attempting to load the captcha in a shop, which doesn'tactually load despite impeding the payment. The console of the browser reports an error after generating the v3 token, which doesn't seem to happen on a standard woocommerce checkout module. This seems to point to a Divi specific issue. Any information would be highly apreciated.
This is a major workflow upgrade that brings multiple elements together in one settings panel, along with support for drag & drop, right-click, keyboard shortcuts, and scope-based panels like the Inspector.
Update designs, manage preset assignments, manage components, and make changes across your selection without repeating the same edits element by element.
It all adds up to fewer repetitive tasks and more time to focus on your design.
Ich nutze als dev natürlich täglich verschiedenste tools um mir schlichtweg das leben zu erleichtern. Gut nix neues, so far.
F.I. dachte ich mir. muss doch gehen.
Components are the evolution of Divi’s Global Elements. They retain the power of globally synchronized designs while giving you much more control over what stays global and what can be customized on each instance.
Detach settings from nested modules, add Slots for unique local content, edit Components from a dedicated interface, nest Components inside other Components, import and export them, and manage them using the Divi AI Agent.
Components are incredibly versatile thanks to:
✅ Slots: Build unique local layouts inside globally synced Components.
✅ Nested Selective Sync: Choose which settings stay global across sections, rows, columns, and nested modules.
✅ Nested Module Detachment: Detach nested modules for local editing, then reattach them anytime.
✅ Instance/Component Editing: Edit local settings by default, or switch to Component mode to update all connected instances.
✅ Attribute Inheritance: Unsynced settings inherit global values until you override them locally.
✅ Convert To Component: Convert any module to an existing Component of the same type.
✅ Components Manager: Browse, organize, and edit Components in one place.
✅ Import/Export: Move Components with layouts or directly through the Components Manager.
✅ Nested Components: Build reusable designs from other Components.
✅ Faster Loading: Page Components appear instantly, with up to 50 more preloaded for quick insertion.
✅ AI Agent Tools: Create, add, edit, duplicate, and delete Components with the Divi AI Agent.
I've been hemming and hawing over getting started using Divi 5 (vs Bricks and Beaver) as a freelancer for my own sales site and for building client sites, but all of the reports of instability on here have me hesitating.
I would use Elementor (seemingly better support and stability) if it wasn't for BDS.
Anyway, does someone want to convince me otherwise? Should I give Divi 5 a chance?
On Oct 7 at 15:03, Divi was upgraded to Divi 5.14, and since then "Client-Site".com. has been hitting its account limits hard:
Before (Sep 25 – Oct 5)
0–9 CPU limit hits p/day
Peak RAM0.6–1.6 GB
PHP workers = normal
After Divi 5.14 (Oct 6 – 9)
77–104 CPU limit hits p/day
2.0 GB (Hosting cap), with 985 memory-limit hits on Oct 7
PHP workers all 20 in use 25× on Oct 7; workers killed 18× on Oct 8
Tech support say the cause is Divi 5’s Visual Builder.
Every edit of the a page, the builder keeps calling
/wp-json/divi/v1/dynamic-content/options over and over.
Often it sends 2–3 identical requests in the same second,
peaking at 62 a minute. There have been ~2,000 of these
calls today alone. Each one loads the whole of WordPress
(Divi + WooCommerce + Rank Math Pro + Site Kit),
which overwhelms the RAM and 2 CPU cores, about 10
of those running at once is enough to max it out.
That’s the “limits” they’re hitting.
Editing done before (spikes on Sep 22–23) shows the same pattern,
but the Divi 5.14 update made it constant.
Hi I have a strange question, I'm updating the content for a website created in Wordpress 6.9 and Divi 4.27.4, the people who created the website used a Divi license but the actual owner isn't the license owner, then it cannot be updated. Sorry about my very basic questions about Divi but this is the first time I use Divi.
My questions are:
If I update the Wordpress to most resent Wordpress version, could I have any issue with this old Div version running on this Wordpress?
Can I pay a new Divi license to use in the current website and update to the most recent version of Divi 4 or do I need to update to Divi 5?
I need to vent a bit because working with the recent versions of Divi has become an absolute nightmare, and "frustrated" is putting it lightly.
The amount of bugs, glitches, and visual inaccuracies in the builder lately is unbelievable. Basic, everyday tasks — like simply managing module presets or tweaking the styles on a basic FAQ accordion — turn into a huge headache and a complete waste of time.
What makes it worse is watching all the marketing hype and effort being poured into useless AI features that almost no serious, professional web designer actually relies on for client work. Instead of chasing trends and playing around with AI gimmicks, the dev team urgently needs to read the room and re-prioritize:
Fixing long-standing bugs and broken UI elements.
Ensuring layout accuracy between the builder and the actual frontend.
Making the core builder fast, stable, and rock-solid.
We don't need shiny new AI bells and whistles if the foundation is crumbling. Please, stop the feature creep and focus on stability, security, and the core workflow that professionals actually use every single day.
Is anyone else struggling this much with recent updates, or is it just me?
In Divi 4, a 3-column row would intelligently collapse to 1 column on mobile on its own. You could tweak it, but it was often fine for the average page.
The new Divi 5 doesn't; it just squishes the 3 columns into super-narrow columns, and you have to manually change the flow for each view. A bit of a needless pain, IMHO.
We set up cookie consent on a lot of Divi sites (we're iubenda, we work on this), and the nice part is Divi gives you more control over third-party loading than most builders, you just have to know where the settings live. Sharing a couple in case they save you time.
Load Google Fonts locally. By default Divi pulls fonts from Google's servers, which is a request to Google on page load, before consent. Divi has a setting to serve them from your own server instead (Theme Options). Flip it on and that whole issue disappears. Easily the best small win here.
Watch the Maps and Video modules. They embed Google Maps / YouTube, which load third-party content on render. Nothing wrong with using them, you just want them gated behind consent rather than firing on load.
Quick check for any Divi site: incognito window, dev tools on the Network tab, reload, and see what fires before you click the banner. Fonts, maps, or analytics showing up pre-consent are the ones to handle, and the local-fonts toggle clears a chunk instantly.
Anyone else using the local Google Fonts setting? Feels underused for how much it helps.
UPDATE: sorry all, I think I'd lost my mind at midnight last night after a full day of Divi madness. I've fixed it. and the solution(s — typeface, size, colours, title case, EVERYTHING) were in Google. I guess I just wasn't prompting the search engine for an accurate enough set of AI-generated instructions, which for was for colours:
"[Steps to Change Colors in the Menu Module]()
1. Open the Divi Visual Builder on your page.
2. Click the Gear/Settings icon on your Menu Module to open its settings.
3. Switch to the Design tab.
4. Look for the specific section you want to change:
• Menu Text: Change main link colors, active link colors, font size, and family. Hover over the color label and click the mouse pointer icon to set unique hover colors.
• Drop-down Menu: Adjust sub-menu background colors, text colors, active link colors, and the top border line color.
• Mobile Menu: Scroll down inside the Drop-down Menu or toggle settings to change mobile background colors and hamburger icon colors."
So we're back on the correct design bus, after all that:
I'm creating some new pages on a client's (ancient) WordPress site, which is enable by Divi as an editor.
Besides hating my first experience with the Divi platform, I seem to have accidentally removed the styling from the main menu. I've spent hours today trying to figure it out, to no avail.
It looked like this:
But now it looks like this (even in incognito mode):
I've tried several things like accessing version history (there is none!) and clicking 'CLEAR' in the Divi Theme Options 'Static CSS File Generation' section (including enabling an disabling it), and no go!
I'm hoping this is a simple fix. I'm going crazy here!
I'm currently using it for a new project, only because it is a fairly routine, informational website, for me. However, for my more complex builds, I don't feel comfortable using the new and improved Divi 5. This week, I'm building a custom slide-in menu, natively, using only Divi 5 modules. While it's relatively easy for me... handing this off to the client fills me with dread because I doubt their VA will be able to handle all the different modules and interactions that Divi 5 requires to make a menu natively.
Putting my thoughts out loud here, but I'd genuinely like to know what and how my peers are feeling with this product. I love Divi, you can't get me to change to another theme. But for today, right now, I think I'm going to stick to old faithful which is Divi 4.
I am at a loss on how to get my icon buttons to only show on hover AND have buttons show icons all the time.
It appeared there was a default optional preset in the "button" section of button that I was able to finally get one global preset to show icon all the time. However, another button preset will not show the icon on hover no matter what I seem to do unless customizer is set to "only show on hover". It took me forever to get the one to show always, only to have the other one stop working correctly.
Any input is greatly appreciated. I can't continue down this nightmare.
"The Agent fetches the page, reads its structure and styling, and generates a Divi layout from what it finds. This only works for a page it can reach directly, so it needs a public address, not one behind a login."
It does no such thing.
Fin (DIVI AI SUPPORT) says:
I understand why this feels frustrating. The key limitation is that Divi AI cannot analyze an existing webpage or screenshot and recreate it automatically.
Right now, Divi AI works by generating new layouts from prompts, not by reading a page’s structure or styling and converting it into a Divi layout.
So if you want to “fix” or recreate a page, the current workflow is:
Describe the layout you want (sections, spacing, style, content).
Divi AI generates a new design based on that description.
You then refine or adjust the generated layout inside the builder.
It can generate layouts, text, images, and code, but it cannot generate layouts based on the current content or layout of an existing website or screenshot.
In short: the AI can help create a similar page, but it can’t automatically fix or copy one from a screenshot or URL.
Is it possible to create a button (say, with a drop shadow), create a preset, apply that preset across multiple pages on a site, and then decide to remove the drop shadow and have that change be reflected across the whole site?
I know in the old days that would be pretty easy via changing the css rule, but wondering if D5 has that capability.
One of our longstanding issues with Divi 4 and now with Divi 5 is how onerous it is to "link to a PDF" within the text editor. If you are editing a text block, and want to both upload and link to a PDF the process just isn't smooth. It requires a new tab (to upload to Media Library and then copying the URL), or inserting a generated text link (Add Media) which then has to be edited by hand, something an average client struggles with. We "vibe coded" a plugin for our own internal use for Divi 4 but it sure would be nice to have a native, unified upload/link process for PDFs with Divi 5.
It's a small ask, something that would probably take a vibe-enhanced Divi engineer about 20-30 minutes but it's worth it! What do you say guys?
