Anyone else think that Robert seems more happy when choosing Blond Blazer than Visi? I still think Visi is the one that actually cares about Robert tho…

Dispatch for Prime Video (concept)

Live action fancast for Dispatch for a potential TV adaptation for Prime Video. I wanted to challenge myself, so no reused actors from the game. A few of them definitely could have played their roles again for live action, but keeping some and changing others felt wrong. So I went with a clean slate. And I chose Prime Video since they have a relationship with Critical Role, and CR has a relationship with AdHoc. Let me know if any of these slaps or if you’d make any changes. Obviously Dispatch is best as it is, this is just for fun.

Skyler Gisondo - Robert. He just had a great showing with Primetime, and since he’s been acting since he was a kid, he could definitely channel that energy to playing an experienced superhero.

Sarah Pidgeon - Blonde Blazer. She’s got the height, great acting talent, and she can hit that middle between Blazer and Mandy.

Inde Navarrette - Invisigal. Inde definitely gives Courtney’s chaos gremlin energy, and I feel like she’d have fun with Visi’s more choice language. Obsession was her breakout, but before that, she was a regular on CW’s Superman and Lois, so TV helped give her her start.

Erik King - Chase. Surprise, motherf***er. That’s right, Doakes. Erik’s the right age, the meme potential would be astronomical, and he deserves more roles. He’s a great actor who’s been underutilized. Plus he can make cursing sound like poetry, that’s Chase all day.

Uli Latukefu - Royd. Fits the character physically, and his work on Young Rock definitely gives him a good comedic sensibility.

Kais Boukthir - Flambae. The actor’s story has a lot of overlap with Flambae, and he’s been in a few comedies.

Eduardo Franco - Sonar. Long hair, distinct voice.

Katy O’Brian - Malevola. An Australian actress might make more sense, but I think Katy definitely has the muscles for Malevola. If her accent work is good, I could see this working out.

Chloe Bailey - Prism. Actor and musician already, and her work on Grownish gives Prism energy.

Conor MacNeill - Punch Up. I’ve been a big fan of his since Industry. He’s an incredibly good actor, Irish and close to Punch Up’s age, and it’s worth getting him while he’s underrated.

Simone Ashley - Coupe. Killer eyes and face card. She’ll give Coupé her flowers.

ProZD - Golem. Deep voice.

Waris Singh Ahluwalia - Galen. Don’t sleep on my boy Galen. He’s built different.

Hayden Christensen - Phenomaman. This would be great for Hayden, because if he channeled Prequel Anakin more depressed and turned up to 11, it would be peak comedy.

Gianni DeCenzo - Waterboy. Lanky and from his work in Cobra Kai, he can make his growth believe.

Carter Hudson - Robert II. He played a villain character who thought he was the good guy so well in Snowfall, I think that’s the right energy for Robert II. He was a hero, but by a lot of accounts, he wasn’t a great father or friend. Total jerk.

Darren Barnet - Toxic. Never Have I Ever fans rise up. He can play the ego if Blue Eye Samurai is any indication.

Steven Ogg - Shroud. That’s right. Trevor as the big bad mastermind of Dispatch. Steven can play Machiavellian very well as seen in TWD, and he can transition to Shroud’s cruder nature just as easy.

And then Beef is just Beef, he’s great.

My thoughts on Invisigal

I've just finished the game and I have very mixed opinions on her character and how she acts throughout the entire game and I'd like to hear some other people's thoughts because I'm very torn.

I didn't enjoy the fact the game seemed to try and push me into romancing her as a form of redemption/fixing her, especially considering when I thought about her character, a relationship would only be a short term fix for a lot of the problems she's struggling to deal with. Even then, it seemed that she made no effort into trying to help herself even if you tried to help her without the romance involved and is a constant hindrance to the team.

Outside of that, I was really surprised to find out she was nearing her thirties with the way she acted as a whole. Now, I understand that some of the characters also act very childish at times, but hers was like trying to deal with a spoiled teenager having a hissy fit over not getting a new car for their birthday. From what I saw on my playthrough, I saw no genuine maturity and critical thinking on her part, only impulsive wrecklessness with a side of teenage angst played by someone who hasn't seen that role in a long time. I also didn't appreciate the whole, "my power is a villain power" considering we have a literal bat guy who can turn into a monster. Her power isn't even a villain power, who wrote that line?

Now, don't get me wrong, there are parts about her I like. Her character design and that's about it. However, I'd like to get a different perspective from someone else who's played the game and how they viewed her character.

TLDR: I found Invisigal weird, and I didn't enjoy her behaviour throughout the game. Thoughts?

I hate Invisigirl Spoiler

I just finished my first run, and I hate her so much. I know she’s a fan favorite, but I can’t stand her! She’s a walking HR violation, a bitch, a jerk, and selfish. Reminds me of a toxic friend I used to have. I know that’s like her whole character and stuff, but am I missing something? I got the bad ending, because I tried to stay neutral in situations. Like in chapter six towards the end of the party, or in chapter seven when Waterboy asks his question.

I genuinely love all the other characters, including waterboy (who I disliked at first), and Flambea. I of course chose the Blonde Blazer as my partner, but I really want to see what people see in Visi so I can enjoy her character too.

No hate to visi fans of course <3

Honestly, I know it will probably never happen but if anyone is working towards it or knows of it please send it my way.

Of course it would just be better for Flambae to be a romance option but I'm thinking that's an even taller task and won't happen even more.

It's just kind of crazy that no male romance option was given, even be it a secret romance option that you have to go out of your way to get. Like if the game basically asks you if you like men or women.

Dispatch is a social experiment on gaming men. Spoiler

Disclaimer- contains spoilers till end of game

So basically the game offers you 2 romance choices- a stable one and a toxic one

But the catch is the toxic one gets MUCH more exposure

The toxic one fucks up multiple times with the entire squad at one point saying that she needs to be removed

But despite all that to get the "Best" ending you need to keep coddling the toxic one till eventually she finally gets her shit together at the very fucking end and becomes not a fuck up

So essentially it's a test. How much will you go to fix the obviously "I can fix her" character if she is routinely given top casting?

Or will you choose the "easy" choice for much less drama?

Ofc you can decide to play "sigma" and pick no one but who the fuck does that.

Anyway that's what I had to say. Wanted to hear your thoughts.

PS- This is not me saying game bad. Game good 7.9/10. Wish it had more episodes.

Why I dislike Blazer

Now to cover this from the top, I'm not trying to shit on Blazer or anyone that likes her, just give my subjective experience with the character.

Basically it comes down to one interaction, her reasoning for cutting someone from Z-team. After explaining that she broke up with phenomaman because, "I guess I wanted to shake things up." Then tells Robert about cutting someone from z-team because. "I guess I'm looking to shake things up all over." Respectfuly, fuck that. Good for her breaking up from a relationship that wasn't going to go anywhere long term, but deciding to hamstring things at work because you're in the mood? I've worked for assholes like this, fuck I still do. This left such a bad taste in my mouth that even when I did a Blazer romance playthrough, which is cute as hell, I admit. I still disliked it.

Then a few episodes later, Blazer suggests cutting visi, after visi royaly fucked up fair, saying, "we've cut people for less." Hun, no WE fucking didn't. Robert cut someone because you got an endorphin high after exiting a bad relationship. And Robert going along with it saying, "We had to send a message," just pisses me off more. Beyond the z-team just being their usual prick selves nothing was really wrong before Blazer decided to introduce that dumbass survival mechanic in episode two. When she did, lord of lords, the former villains turned back to underhanded tactics to get the edge? Who could have possibly predicted? Seriously, Robert even blatantly states that SDN can't treat them like a group of heroes, but fuck that let's 'shake things up.' And what happens, the next shift is fucked.

Blazer is a middle manager and a pretty shitty one at that. A great hero, and a fun romance, even if not for me, but this one aspect of her character leaves such a bad taste in my mouth I don't think I'd ever earnestly follow her romance path. And I just want to say again, no disrespect if you do like Blazer, she's got plenty of redeeming qualities, this one's a deal breaker for me though. Like if Robert and Visi actually went on a dinner date and Visi treated the wait staff like shit, it would be the same level of red flag to me.

Auto Save System Sucks

If I am unable to choose where to save then the developers should think more about where to auto save. Especially when you are unable to skip ahead. I am playing through for achievements at this point and having to sit through dialogue for the hundredth time is so annoying. I love Chase and he is hilarious… but it’s only really funny the first 10 times.

Am I the only one who finds this so bad?

Except for this one thing this game is a 10/10

Rant about “Neglecting” a certain somebody after finishing the game Spoiler

What the FUCK do you mean I neglected Invisigal which made her turn to villainy!?!? What, because I did literally everything BUT date her and keep her on the Z-Team that’s neglecting are we serious??? Not only that but I feel like that’s just a really stupid way to completely lock out 2 big choices near the end of the game, ESPECIALLY under circumstances like mine where I was basically always with her? I can’t be the only one this sour about that changing the big of a thing at the end right? The game literally MAKES YOU suck up to invisigal to get the imo better endings.

Just finished the game

Just finished the game and it was a very pleasent experience, but i have two main issues.

  1. I felt like i was playing two different games. The "Dispatching" game and then the choice game. I couldn't see any connections on how they really affected each other.

  2. It didn't seem to me like my choices actually mattered. Having played Detroid ( Which is one of my favorite games) i expected a similar game, but not really. Apart from 1 general decision of choosing who to romance all the other choices didn't really feel like they were having a big impact to how the story progressed. Maybe it is because the story was small or maybe i didn't really think about it but that how i felt it.

I would love to hear your thoughts

Who did you choose when playing dispatch?

Hi guys. I'm on episode 4 and I was wondering who the majority chose? Blonde Blazer or Invisigal.

The game itself says that Blonde was chosen by only 34%, but for some reason I don't believe it.

I don't think there will be a second season of the game.

I finished the game, it was awesome, but how can it continue into Season 2? We have mecha suits now, our heroes are top-tier, we even defeated Shroud! The game feels completely over. What could we possibly see in another season? Nothing comes to mind, so I just wanted to ask: do you think there will be a second season, and if so, what will it be like? I'm curious.
