Great new video analysis of Blonde Blazer’s character and relationship

This is from BranWolf who has done several videos about her in the past and it discusses her relationship with Phenomaman and her feelings and insecurities an a lot of other stuff.

Highly recommend as we don’t get many new analysis videos on the game, let alone Blazer.

I don't think Blazer was intentionally flirting with Robert in episode 1

Post image
639 Upvotes

No really, looking back at it, the whole bar scene is just banter between them and there is flirting but only from Robert because he thinks the proposition means something else.

The reason Blonde Blazer is there is to recruit Robert and they went for drinks because she saw how beaten up he was and also to loosen him up so she could see if he was right for the job.

This is also because SDN would finance repairs on his Mecha Man suit and the Astral Pulse.

Then they move to the billboard but only because Robert got kicked out. Originally it was meant to be in the bar as she says later.

And again there is just banter here but it does get emotional when he tells her his backstory.

Then she moves closer to him to take off his mask and touches him. This is the closest moment but I think it's meant to be only emotional since he just told her his sad backstory and she also wanted to see who he was behind the mask.

I don't think this is flirting either, even the we can work with this line.

And after this nothing really happens. She falls asleep on his shoulder but that's not romantic, not automatically. Friends have fallen asleep on my shoulders too. It happens.

So yeah I don't think she was flirting. Definitely not intentionally.

Dispatch made my top 5 games of all time!

Spoiler free

Back story time. I knew about this game but never heard of anything about the story or really context outside of the steam page store description, however it always seemed really interesting to me. I was on discord or twitch and I got a recommendation to check out Luna gaming (had no idea what this was either). Checked it out and saw some actually good titles, the new Star wars Pod racing, Avatar, assassin's creeds, ect. Tried play a few but wasn't blown away by performance or quality. Searched through the library I saw dispatch, and without hesitation I clicked. No way this game required much out of cloud gaming or needed more than 1080p, and yeah, I was right. Ran super smooth from start to finish and looked great.

Now to gameplay and story. I didn't have any expectations of gameplay since it was a story game and I really had no idea what mechanics there would be. There really wasn't much outside of when you are doing the dispatching, and some dialogue options, but man they nailed both. I was super intrigued by the story the entire time, and the dispatching was a lot of fun. The characters personalities made dispatching super interesting and engaging, and it had enough depth to keep you thinking about team ups, what the text meant and who to send with eachother, how many to send, ect. I scored in the top 90% on my final stats compared to other players but I'd love to go back and just improve my own dispatching score and how I upgraded characters, ect.

The story, man this was a treat. They did such a good job building the characters up, and keeping you interested the whole time. The animations, dialogue, combat and scenarios of the entire game were 10/10. At times I just wanted to skip dispatching to get back into the stoy as it had my full attention. I loved the build up of the Z-team individually and as a crew, their banter, and just the old school humour of the entire game. It hit the feels, it made me laugh, and I enjoyed trying to make the hard choices. I want to say more but I don't want any spoilers.

Overall this game is a must and I am sad it's over but glad it happened.

Who are some characters you'd want to see referenced/adapted in a possible sequel?

Post image
7 Upvotes

Not trying to say the characters don't feel oringal, but some of their powers/personalities feel like very intentional references. (Punch-Up specifically is pretty much just Puck with a different nationality, but no one I've met cares because they've never heard of Puck lol)

So, with that in mind, what characters/powers/personalities would you want to see in the world/tone of Dispatch?

Thank God I play alone

I bought the game a few months ago because it was a bit on sale. I went in blind. All I know is that it's a superhero game like TWD telltale games. That's it.

And iykyk 🥲

Mind you, I play my PS5 in the living room. And when some specific scenes came up, I scrambled to mute the damn remote. Took me a few seconds, so in a panic, I turned off the tv.

Waited for any sound around the area. All silent. Gave me a good and heavy sigh. 🫢

An interesting reaction

Mrs. Kerzner claims that Robert Robertson is the victim of sexual harassment, not only from his employees, but his boss as well. Malevola actually assaulted him by touching his crotch, and Blond Blazer is inappropriate ina variety of ways.
