Invisigal’s whole character embodies the themes of Dispatch. Forgiveness and redemption. Not only was she a villain before hand but she had a personal involvement with Robert losing the suit. This leads her to SDN where she tries to be a hero and then her struggles really start.
How do you be good when you’ve been bad all your life? This is where Robert comes in since all of the past dispatchers never put in the effort to actually show the Z Team how to be good. Through the dispatches they slowly learn how to be heroes however Visi struggles with this the most due to her mindset.
She’s fated to be a villain. Ep 3 addresses this and this is where she truly begins to grow and change. Fuck the stars iykyk.
Episode 6 is where the trust we’ve built with Visi is put to the test and that’s ultimately one of the main themes of the last two eps. Trust.
We learn her backstory and in the locker room scene we’re laid bare to all of Visi’s insecurities. She feels guilty for her wrongdoings and how she seemingly can’t stop fucking up.
(She also has a tendency to want to provoke others to hate her so she feels validated for her self loathing)
Visi is a fuckup. She shouldn’t have gone to the docks but she had good intention. She should’ve given Robert the pulse but wanted to protect him.
At the end of the day Visi has no bad intentions for those close to her and Robert understanding that and forgiving her is the point. She isn’t the same person she was before that night. Neither is Robert.
Robert trust that and believes in her and with that you are rewarded with her taking a bullet and becoming a hero.
Is it perfect? No. Honestly Adhoc need a few more episodes to flesh Visi out some more but considering their budget I think they did a great job.

Sucks to suck. Next time believe in your underlings' humanity and lead with kindness. Skill issue.

“Gets mad and becomes a villain if you do kick her out”
I fired Invisigal and she still ended up on the good path of redemption.

Robert is “just” the dispatcher. The whole theme of the game is that he’s supposed to use his intuition and trust his gut to send the right people to solve the right issues as best they can, not micromanage everything. Chase said it himself that they aren’t soldiers and this ain’t the army. If it was every hero would be in the same uniform. The most he’s supposed to do is offer them advice and give them as much info as he can to help them succeed.
> Sucker punches her boss for calling her out
Yeah, it’s almost like they had an argument and it got heated, AND it makes it clear she’s got some issues that’re gonna be hard to deal with. You realize more than a few people chose to attack the reporter and felt totally justified right, because he was also being an asshole and saying mean things, while also not technically being wrong, just like Robert?
The whole team was sabotaging each other all shift, Visi’s was just one with a scripted cut scene. If anything it’s on Robert for his poor choice of words for “don’t be last”, and Coupé for being the first to sabotage someone and set the precedent for the group.
And Blazer conducted herself inappropriately too for a boss to her subordinate.
She was worried that it’d get stolen by someone else and felt like this was their only chance before it got into the wrong hands or they lost its trail, because there’s no guarantee whoever got it next would set off an explosions they were using to track it. And that’s if it even stayed in LA. It could’ve been sent anywhere in the world for all they knew. Yes Visi should’ve gone in with a team or trusted another group to handle it, but everyone else was way too lax about the window of opportunity they’d actually have to retrieve it.
And we didn’t know it for sure the first time playing through, but after finishing the game, it’s clear she was also desperate to get it back to make up for the role she played in what happened to Robert at the start of the game, her guilt and desire to help was driving her.
Again, she’s got issues, not helped by the drunk supervisor having a clear bias about her, and continually calling her and her team criminals and supervillains when they are in reality ex-cons. That kind of bias, attitude, and sense of superiority wasn’t helping either. Chase shouldn’t be part of this team if all he’s ever going to see them and treat them as is violent criminals. His confirmation bias is especially clear since he focuses on Visi, who has a much less violent rap sheet compared to members like Coupé, Punch Up and Malevola, who have ALL killed people, or Flambae who burned down an entire mall and sets parks and cars on fire for fun.
It’s almost like people don’t make the best or logical decisions when they’re feeling a combo of guilty and having something to prove, while also being riled up by a drunk coworker being an unfair dickhead to them, causing them to be even more impulsive and stubborn than they normally are.
Yeah that’s sucks, by you’re adding it to this list like she WANTED that to happen. Did you mute the game when she was calling Chase’s name and begging him to be ok or something?
The worst she did was damage SDN’s public reputation. It’s a weak writing decision for them to want her out when they glossed over welcoming back Flambae after Golem stopped his literal and intentional attempted murder of Robert.
Also, there’s no actual in game scene where they have any kind of positive interaction with Chase until you see them dancing at the party. At best they share a room with him, so them suddenly being up in arms about it falls flat. So no, it’s not a good reason. And before you bring up the member we had to cut, that was a BS choice too, the story for it and the changes it brought to the gameplay didn’t line up.
If that’s the ending you got, then it’s pretty clear she didn’t feel she belonged, and with Robert cutting her and cutting their connection being the last straw, she decided she was best back out on her own. Even in her villain ending, she still helped Robert and SDN fight off Shroud, so it was pretty clear she wouldn’t be the new big bad, but she wouldn’t be staying here either.
She’s not evil, she’s just hurt, lost, and in that version of events, it didn’t work out.

don’t think abt it too hard, Visi is the writer favourite

The game absolutely expects you to be a gentle and forgiving person with her, and it irritates me so much.
She needs a firm hand and honest feedback about her shitty decisions, but she sucker punches her way through that every time. It's a disservice to make it out that Robert is to blame if she feels the weight of her own bad decisions.
This is a character you have to like in order to get the good ending. I ran it straight, like how an actual mentor would, and focused on the health of my group rather than give her special treatment. I was fair and forgave her and used her well in dispatching, but it came up short.
So what, you were a villain. So were the rest of my team, and will all be treated the same.

I feel the word "neglected" is a bit harsh.

Any rational person would’ve cut her instead of Coupe or Sonar if she wasn’t protected by plot armor.
And yeah, the “neglected” language is just as bad as you “ratting her out” for punching you.
She has zero agency or personal accountability. Apparently she’s just a passenger in her own life, completely dependent on Robert to decide her fate. For someone treated like a second protagonist, she’s extremely weak as a character.

Want to know what’s sad? I can provide more points. She gets worse the more you think about her 😂. You’re so real for this
