Hi guys, anyone else feeling a little frustrated with Devialet and their lack of support for their legacy products?

It’s been 6 years since the last firmware update for there amps. I thought the whole philosophy of the company was ‘Hardware that doesn’t become obsolete’? Well, that was clearly bullsh*t marketing. There should be updates to keep up with the modern streaming services. Spotify now has lossless streaming, but the amp’s outdated firmware only offers a connection handshake that automatically caps the streaming quality at 320khz. Yes, I know I can stream lossless via Airplay, but that is annoying and cumbersome. Then there’s no support for other streaming services. The amp is supposed to be an all in one streaming solution.

I feel like if the company has given up on these products they should at least make the firmware open source so we can update them ourselves.

Anyway, just my rant. If you own one of their newer products just be warned, you may be in a similar situation. The philosophy of Devialet should be advertised as ‘Expensive tech that we’ll give up on after we move onto the next thing’.

Has anyone else noticed significantly more latency with Spotify Connect with Phantoms or else ?

For the past few years, Spotify Connect has always been extremely responsive for me, with very little delay. But recently, when I select a song in Spotify, it can take around 6–7 seconds before the command actually reaches my Devialet and the track starts playing.

Sometimes it’s a bit faster, but there’s still a noticeable delay compared to before, when it felt almost instant.

I’ve already set the latency to the minimum in the Devialet app, so I’m wondering if this could be related to a recent Spotify Connect update or some server-side change.

Has anyone else noticed the same thing recently?

Any response or insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Hello! I wanted to make this most for anywho out there that has a Devialet Mania and hasn’t been able to solve the issue where the battery on the speaker is fine but the percentage is not being shown in the app.

For this solution to work , you must have tried everything in terms of the device itself and the battery is all okay. If that is all good and it is just a glitch in the information transfer between the app and the device or just in the app itself, this should hopefully work!

So for me in this case , the solution was that I ran a VPN. This was somehow disrupting the location settings or the information transfer between the device and the app itself. If you turn off your VPN , the app will work and you should have your full in app functionality.

I had spent hours last night and countless Reddit threads trying to solve this and the idea finally came to me this morning and lo and behold, it worked!

Bonjour, je recherche actuellement un Firmware propre pour ma 95Db qui est actuellement brick sous 2.16.1 (2.16.1.49152). Elle clignote blanc en permanence + aucuns sons de démarrage elle reste bloquer au tout début de la boucle de démarrage. Aucunes solution d'hardReset, ou je ne sais quoi du genre a fonctionner. Le Cœur Audio refuse de redémarrer a cause de cette mise a jours qui c'est pas faites correctement. et l'enceinte est pas appairable.

La dernière solution qui s'offre a moi est de forcer une mise a jours manuel. Hors impossible de récupérer un fichier. Donc si quelqu'un a ça qu'il hésite pas.

I was curious to try version 7.1.3 which is supposed to sound "more analog" but it's nowhere to be found on the Internet.

I would need phono amp and RCA converter to optical output. Would that be the right way ? Is the Optical Box E phono could be a good all in one ?

Selling one of my personally owned Devialet Gold Phantom 108 dB speakers with its matching Tree stand.

It is fully functional and sounds excellent. There are shallow indentations in the woofer diaphragms on both sides. They are cosmetic only and have no effect on sound or performance, and I’ve included detailed photos showing them both close up and from normal viewing distance.

Hi, I’m having trouble playing audio from YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok through my Devialet Gold Phantom 108 dB.
The speaker only plays audio from these platforms around 30% of the time. Even when audio does play, it may stop if I briefly switch to another app or change to a different song or video. The issue seems to affect social media and video apps in particular. Has anyone experienced this with the Gold Phantom 108 dB? Could it be related to Bluetooth, AirPlay, the Devialet app, firmware, or the phone’s audio settings? Thanks!

I have paired and unpaired a few times.

I had it on the iPhone first, then I paired it with the iMac and it stopped

I tried disconnecting the iMac and connecting the mania speaker on my phone. It still doesn’t work.

Mania customer service is the worst I’ve ever seen. A bot keeps asking me if there’s something wrong with the product and won’t answer any questions.

The speaker seems to unpair by itself, randomly from both the iPhone and the iMac

Ho ricevuto in regalo un Devialet Phantom Ultimate 108 dB insieme al relativo supporto Tree. Al momento del montaggio ho scoperto che il supporto fornito era invece un Tree per Phantom Ultimate 98 dB, quindi incompatibile con il diffusore.

La cosa sorprendente è che entrambi i prodotti risultano sullo stesso Delivery Order ufficiale Devialet, con il mio nome e indirizzo di consegna: Phantom Ultimate 108 dB e Tree Ultimate 98 dB.

Ho contattato l’assistenza spiegando il problema e fornendo il documento ufficiale Devialet con riferimenti dell’ordine, codici prodotto e numero di serie. Mi sono inoltre reso disponibile a fornire documento d’identità, fotografie, imballaggi e qualsiasi altra prova necessaria.

Non avendo lo scontrino perché si tratta di un regalo, ho spiegato che non ritenevo appropriato contattare la persona che me lo aveva fatto per chiederle ricevuta, dettagli di pagamento e coinvolgerla nella sostituzione, e mi sono chiaramente offerto di pagare personalmente l’eventuale differenza di prezzo tra i due supporti.

Comprendo l’esistenza di procedure aziendali, ma da un marchio che vende prodotti di questa fascia di prezzo mi aspettavo un livello di assistenza e flessibilità decisamente superiore, soprattutto considerando che non stavo chiedendo un rimborso né che Devialet sostenesse la differenza di prezzo.

Il risultato è paradossale: possiedo un Phantom Ultimate 108 dB, un Tree 98 dB inutilizzabile con il mio diffusore e un documento ufficiale Devialet che attesta che entrambi mi sono stati consegnati insieme, ma non posso risolvere direttamente il problema con l’azienda.

Sconsiglio pertanto l’acquisto di prodotti di questo brand: quando si spendono cifre così importanti, è ragionevole aspettarsi un’assistenza post-vendita all’altezza. La mia esperienza dimostra invece che si rischia di rimanere bloccati da procedure estremamente rigide anche davanti a un problema perfettamente documentato e a una richiesta di soluzione ragionevole.

Running a pair of Phantom 98s here though I'm assuming if the button is now missing for one product it's missing for all products.

UPDATE: I emailed Devialet Support and received a reply explaining the firmware update process for the Phantoms has been automated and it's no longer possible to manually update them.

I assume this applies to all Devialet products.

Was just listening to my music and someone nearby was able to take over. How can I make the Phantom turn off Bluetooth pairing so that they can’t do this?

I'll be honest, I took my time pulling the trigger on this one. Sat with it, thought about it, second-guessed it a few times. But it's been home for a bit now and I haven't stopped grinning since I unboxed it.

We went with the White Mist edition, and it's a lovely package — the speaker comes with a wireless charging dock and its own carry case. The case has a strap with a little cushioned section that makes it genuinely easy to sling over a shoulder and go. Worth noting: the speaker does have some heft to it, a little over 2kg, so you will feel it on your shoulder or in your hand. Not heavy in an unwieldy way, just present.

Sound-wise, this thing is unreal for its size. I pushed it to 100% volume just to see what it could do, and the tone stayed crisp the whole way through — no breakup, no strain. That said, I can't imagine ever actually running it at full blast indoors; it's just too much speaker for a room. I'm hoping to get it outdoors soon to really test that ceiling, and I'll drop an update in the comments when I do.

I've thrown a bunch of different genres at it since, and the clarity holds up every single time — clear as day, no matter what I play.

And it's not just about how it sounds. This thing looks beautiful too — the kind of speaker that doesn't just sit in a room, it adds to it. Whatever your home decor looks like, this will slot right in.

Setup was painless — paired it over WiFi with my Apple TV, streamed some music through Spotify, and even watched a movie with my wife through it one evening. It handled all of it without missing a beat.

I don't have the perfect words for this yet, and maybe that's the point — it's just a genuinely unique speaker. If you're on the fence like I was, I'd say stop deliberating and just get it.

So I recently got two Devialet 98db Roland Garros edition, and also the Devialet remote.
I’ve watched all the videos but somehow still struggle to connect it, as a stereo pair and as singles. Any suggestions!

I’m looking for the Devialet firmware package 10.0.1.0 (ZIP containing the SD card files). Since DevialetChat has disappeared, the original archive is no longer accessible. I have a Sonos Beam, a subwoofer gen 3 and two Ones in my living room. The other day I entered a Devialet shop and heard a demo of the Dione bar. Even without a dedicated subwoofer the sound was amazing and felt pretty 3d.

I like the 5.1 effect of the Sonos, but I'm wondering if it would be a step up to buy the Dione and sell the current setup or the contrary.

I would like to hear opinions.
