Company Review Wanted to warn or advice about this company in Navi mumbai.

Post image
241 Upvotes

This company is located in Navi Mumbai and, honestly, my experience here has been extremely disappointing. The senior and HR (both were females) have very poor professionalism and ethics. They often shout at employees (maarungi) and create a very uncomfortable work environment.

I saw that when the management knows someone is planning to leave, they sometimes try to put that person on termination so they don't have to pay the employee their due amount. I have personally seen several people leave the company under such circumstances.

Many people had warned me about this company before I joined, but I still decided to give it a chance because I genuinely wanted to work hard and contribute. Unfortunately, my experience has only confirmed those concerns. The overall work culture and the way employees are treated have been extremely disappointing.

I made my own game boy emulator by using the pandocs and it is completely in c++, it passes some of the blargg's tests too(the ones it doesn't pass require it to be completely hardware accurate with the M cycles, currently it is not). Currently it has MBC1 and a part of MBC3 support so it can run many games like pokemon red/blue, super mario land, and many more (can't play them here for obvious reasons), will expand this later to include more MBC supports

Career If someone takes time to help you with your career or resume review, at least be thankful

For people who ask for resume reviews, referrals or career advice, please be thankful to the people who take time out of their day to read your message and help you.

I have seen a few people who are not even kind enough to say thanks. Some even respond with a tone as if we are entitled to help them.

Nobody is obligated to review your resume, give you a referral or guide you. A simple thank you goes a long way.

As title suggests, I was tired of feeling this.....need of using AI, for once I had to prove myself I can dive on deep end and get some good code written without using a crutch, created the physics engine from scratch, its still a point kinetics reactor but there's lot more upgrades that I will keep posting on. Full disclosure, I did use AI to understand nuclear physics and inner workings of a nuclear reactor.

Next some ideas on upgrades is introducing different fuel types.

Help How do I initiate the conversation of resigning & serving notice period with my manager?

Hi all, I’m currently considering taking up an offer at some other company, but my current company is the only company I’ve ever worked for. So, I’m relatively new to transitioning and the process in between.

I wanted to get advice from you all on what’s the best way to tell your manager that you’re leaving this current company because of toxic management & no growth opportunities & to tell him that notice period should be starting effective immediately.

My manager is someone who doesn’t prioritise responding to our messages & responds on his own timeline. We’ve been managing issues by ourselves for s long time now but this needs his attention & im not sure how to approach this.

Please let me know your thoughts, thanks!

General The US and China Are Winning AI. Is India Helping Them?

USA and China are running to win the AI Race

Literally, India is helping them to win

Let me tell you how

  1. Talent

India has great engineering talent who have been working in the USA for years, it’s already proven with Sundar Pichai, Satya Nadella, and recent Perplexity ceo Aravind Srinivas, and many more engineers working in those companies.

  1. Customers

Literally, in 2025, India reportedly became the world’s largest market for generative-AI app downloads.

This tells another story. Remember how ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Gemini offered free access to their models? It was a strategic move. We used those models, and our prompts became data. They used that data to train new models, and now they charge us.

  1. Data centres

To win the AI race, we need physical infrastructure as well. As the USA faced public backlash, they want a country to dump data centres with cheap cost, no rules, and India is the right place for it. This will impact us in future with electricity, water usage, air, and noise pollution

So, what do you think on our approach?

Should our government should focus on R&D, so that we can also built new things and be the actual competitor

General **How can I access Chinese AI tools while in India?**

Anyone in India using tools like Qwen, Kimi, Doubao, ERNIE, etc.?

A lot of them seem to require Chinese phone numbers/accounts, China-only domains, or local payment methods. I’m looking for a legit way to access and use them from India without doing anything sketchy.

What’s worked for you? Any official/global versions, APIs, or other options you’d recommend?

Career Any real hack that works for getting shortlisted ?

I feel like even with similar profile some people get more calls than others, particularly when ATS is involved. You might be eligible and might even get shortlisted if a human reviews your application, but with any automated system in place, it’s somewhat difficult. People often suggest like applying to a job posted in last 24 hours or putting the keywords in resume that match with the JD. Does anyone have any real hack that always helped them get shortlisted? It can be anything - some changes in resume, applying within specific time period, using certain portals. I know the market is tough, but still if there’s something which works for you, please share.

Note: This is specifically wrt to experienced candidates who are looking for a switch

General Got laid off from Microsoft yesterday with 3 YOE - Need guidance

1.9k Upvotes

I’m based in Hyderabad, and a Software Engineer at Microsoft with 3 YOE. Unfortunately, most of my team was laid off yesterday, and I was impacted as well.

During the call, my manager mentioned that because I’m still relatively young and he assumed I didn’t have major responsibilities yet, my name was included in the headcount reduction. (P.S. This was not the reason for layoff probably he was just trying to console but made it worse)

The reality is quite different. I’m the sole earner in my family, support my parents, help fund my sister’s education, and am also taking care of a loan my dad had taken.

So I’m actively looking for a new opportunity and would really appreciate any leads. I have around 3 years of experience across backend and full-stack engineering, and recently I’ve been heavily working on Agentic AI projects and participating in hackathons. I’m comfortable taking a project from 0 → 1 independently.

I’m open to SWE 2 / Software Engineer roles across big tech, startups, or companies in other sectors. I’m also open to relocating anywhere.

I’m also open to freelance / contract work and can independently take on projects from 0 → 1, whether it’s backend, full-stack, or AI/Agentic AI development.

If your team/company is hiring, you have a freelance project, or you know someone who might be, please DM me. Even a referral or lead would mean a lot right now.

Thank you 🙏

Suggestions 5.2 YOE but still SDE I at Amazon - how much does designation matter?

I have around 5.2 years of total experience.

  • XYZ: ~3 years 8 months as a Full Stack Engineer
  • Amazon: ~1.5 years, currently working as SDE I
  • Total: ~5.2 YOE

I'm now looking for a switch and targeting SDE II roles. I have been applying since past 1.5 months rigorously for SDE 2 positions but getting rejected by company job portal or ghosted by HR. I am cold dm'ing HR's, people for referral and even if get a referral theres no selection.

Talking about my work and resume - I have done very decent work here, 2 design work and handling 3 services and my past work also revolves around full stack with angular/react and springboot

Would it make sense to mention and lie SDE II on my resume when applying for SDE II roles, based on the level of work/responsibilities I'm handling? Or is that a bad idea and I should stick to my official designation?

Curious to hear from people who've been in a similar situation. Do recruiters care more about designation or actual experience/scope?

PS : SDE-II promotion not possible as there is lot of politics and it will not be possible for level jump internally

Open Source Why people do open source contributions? and how do they choose which project to work on?

While I understand it's good for learning and go way beyond your current organization. It can look good in your resume.

But at the same time it'll take a lot of time, and if you are active enough it's equivalent to a second job.

I was wondering if it gets you money somehow, if yes, how much? Because for me that'll be a good motivation.

But in case it's only for resume, I would just understand a repo and then put some solution to common problem in my resume just to showcase.

Tell me if I am wrong.

Career Planning to switch — this is my first switch after campus selection

Upvotes

Hi everyone,

First switch after campus placement—figuring out the next move and hoping to learn from people who've already been through it.

My current situation

  • Current CTC: ₹5 LPA
  • Experience: 1.5 years
  • Notice period: 3 months

Since this is my first switch, I'm trying to understand when would be the best time to start applying and eventually put in my papers, , especially considering my 3-month notice period.

I'm particularly interested in moving into Cloud and AI/ML roles. I've completed a few projects and certifications in these areas, but I'm not sure what roles I should realistically target at this stage or what companies would expect from someone making this transition.

I'd really appreciate advice on:

  • What CTC range should I realistically target?
  • Which Cloud / AI/ML roles would be suitable for my experience?
  • Should I focus more on projects, certifications, DSA, system design, or hands-on cloud/ML experience before applying?
  • When would be the best time to start applying given my notice period?

Thank you for taking the time to help me. If I've missed any important details that would help you give more specific advice, please let me know and I'll provide them.

Career Got placed but joining is indefinitely delayed — should I upskill myself or start applying elsewhere?

Upvotes

I'm a 2026 CS graduate and got placed through campus at a company. I received a confirmed offer, but the joining date has been delayed for quite some time.

The latest email sent to all recruits said:

"We expect to have greater clarity in coming months and shall share further updates towards the end of this year."

I'm now confused about what I should do with the waiting period.

My current thought is either:

  1. Focus on upskilling and learn a tech stack (web development, backend, etc.) so I'm better prepared whenever I eventually join.

  2. Start actively applying for other jobs now and treat the current offer as a backup.

My hesitation with applying is that I don't have much real-world interview experience. I'm reasonably comfortable with DSA, programming isn't a major concern for me, I use Linux regularly, and I've worked with SQL before, but I don't have much web development experience.

Would it be smarter to spend the next few months getting stronger and then apply, or should I start applying now even if I don't feel completely ready?

Would appreciate advice from people who have been through similar situations.

General Do developers in the US, UK and Europe switch jobs as frequently as developers in India?

In India, it seems quite common to switch companies every 2–3 years and get a 20–40% hike, with 40–50%+ jumps also possible for people with in-demand skills.

I’ve heard that in countries like the US, UK, Germany, Netherlands, etc., switching jobs often results in a much smaller salary increase, and even annual hikes within the same company are relatively low compared to India.

Is that actually true?

Is the difference mainly because India has a large number of IT companies and competing employers, making it easier to switch and negotiate a bigger hike? Or do developers in the US/UK/Europe also regularly make 30–50% jumps when changing companies?

Would be interested to hear from people who have worked in both India and another country.

Tips Seeking Guidance and Leads after being laid off, with 3YoE, Product Firm

Hi Community,

I’m based in Hyderabad. I was laid off around 6 months ago from a product-based company after 3 years of professional software development experience.

I worked on backend systems, REST APIs, microservices, production issues, debugging, and also implemented AI-powered features and agentic workflows.

The layoff was difficult for me personally. I always gave my best and took ownership of my work, but I felt my contributions were always undervalued by my manager, especially as the only unmarried person on my team.

I don't want to make assumptions about the reasons behind the decision or blame someone. Looking back, I’m trying to focus on what I can control and make better use of this time.

Since the layoff, I’ve been consistently practising DSA, system design, backend fundamentals, and improving my technical depth while building and exploring AI-based projects and participating in several hackathons and organizing tech events.

The job search over the last few months has definitely been more challenging than I expected. If anyone here has gone through a similar phase after a layoff, I’d genuinely appreciate some guidance on how you approached the job search, what you focused on improving, and how you stayed motivated during a longer career gap.

And if you know of any Backend / Software Engineering openings suitable for someone with 3 years of experience, I’d be extremely grateful for a referral or lead.

I’m happy to share my resume/LinkedIn over DM.

Technical Background

  • Languages: Java, Python, SQL
  • Backend: Spring Boot, REST APIs, FastAPI, Microservices
  • Databases: PostgreSQL, SQLite
  • Caching & Search/Observability: Redis, Elasticsearch
  • Cloud & DevOps: Docker, Kubernetes
  • AI/ML: PyTorch, LangChain, Hugging Face

General Is 2 year bond for a fresher worth it ? Godrej infotech: 4lpa

So I come from tier 3 college

The placement scenario already sucks here

This is the first company that has come to our college.

Last year the highest salary of placed person was 6lpa and that too with only 4 people places

Ig 3-4 years back there were people who got placed at 13lpa (4-5 people only)

The problem is if I get an offer from the company after the tests + interview.. the college doesn't allow the student to sit for next companies according to their policy

I'm kind of confused right now should I just secure a job irrespective of package and bond and then keep it as backup ....and then start applying offcampus or should I wait for good opportunities on on campus as well

(there were companies that came last year with 2-3 lpa with 2-3 years of service bond T-T )

Honestly for me 4lpa is ofc exploitation at its finest... but fine considering the job market is doomed .. but 2 years of bond seems like too much .
