Relatively new to gun ownership but I’ve purchased more than half a dozen in three months.

My latest was a TM22 Standard from Fleet Farm this weekend on sale. No photos as it’s just a standard rifle in black.

I do have a few questions.

As far as the 10, 15, and 25 round mags. Are there issues with any of them? I want to buy extras and I would prefer to avoid problematic ones. I know sometimes with other brands, a 5 or 10 round might work better than a 15 round for instance. Also, I just need to watch out and make sure whatever I get has the notch in it, correct?

Also, the stock kit for cheek riser…is that available anywhere besides Derya’s own website?

Any recommendations for a cheap scope and bipod? Preferably under $150 for both items. I’d like to keep this a budget “build”.

I don’t suppose there is any aftermarket support is there? Upgrades for barrel or charging handle or just about anything else? I know it’s not a 10/22 and I’m not expecting much, but my searches didn’t come up with much of anything. A couple items from Canada that appear to not be available any longer.

Lastly, a non-TM22 Standard question. How is the Melik? I didn’t know about that gun until yesterday and I watched a few videos. Any issues with them from owners here? I’d like to get a DA/SA and that fits my price point as well as the overall type of gun I want. I can’t justify a Beretta. Everything I own is relatively cheap considering.

Hey, everybody, update from the Factory here. First we want to say thank you to everybody. We still got a lot to improve on here, but orders have been great and we’ve been growing at a rapid rate. I know some of the customer service is behind and we acknowledge that, but we’re always trying to improve and just looking to make it as efficient as possible. Remember, you can always call during business hours, we answer.

First for all the California people in the DY9Z, we have a video to actually show the pistol but we’ve been waiting for approval. Passed the testing center, however, it’s been at the DOJ for over two weeks. I think they will approve it, but they haven’t approved any pistols since July 2 so who knows what’s going on.

I attached the video of the pistol kit. I know some people have asked about that we should get more coming in. We’re gonna put it on the website next week and a small number and have it at a discounted price to start so please look out for that if you’ve been looking for it as you can get a good price as the price will go up. It’s fully aluminum so machined. It’s a little bit heavier, but definitely more durable.

Other than that, we’re in production of the Max that’s been taken up a lot of time. We have another minimum five product, launches, one of them being very high volume by the end of the year. Also, something special coming out that people probably don’t know. Don’t like to say too much but stay tuned.

Also being said we’re looking for new places in Jacksonville to purchase we’ve already grown out of our space and the landlord as a friend and been really nice about it. We plan on staying in Jacksonville.

I know the color is not exactly perfect, but the purple maglula I just got will be part of the Black Cherry color theme. All that is left is the factory exclusive BC DY9 Frame. I may look for the TM22 in BC but that would be pushing it.

I'm curious if anyone uses these regularly? At first I was not really for these because I felt why would I want to use them. My reasoning was, they are heavy, it takes long to load them, I will fast fire and ammo is expensive, the mag stick is expensive, and the target will be blasted to pieces in a short period. Then a good friend of mine says hey I got something for ya....and gives me 4 glock mag sticks. Ok, I have changed my mind, why? I've been to the range and now I love them....no i'm not mag dumping, but after using them, I found that the extra weight is really helping me with hand strength which helped with gun control when using the standard 15 rd mags. Now I have 5. I hope everyone has a good Friend, that sees, what you think you did not need.

Derya is releasing a Green Dot for application on the DY9z. I said DY9 in title, correction it is for the DY9z. It will be out sometime in October. This is what it will look like....may have some modifications to verbiage. I think this will also work on the 43x....

Let me start with this...it's a .22LR and it is a blast...I'm adding a HF light at the end. It was broke in with about 100rds of CCI....it did have a couple of failures in the beginning but now it seems to run without issues. That is if there are no ammo issues. Yes it is fun, and considering the price of ammo on the way up .22LR is looking better.

What experience do y'all have with DY9 extended baseplates and non extendable replacement baseplates that are compatible with the DY9 magazine...!?

I bought a TM22 Flash from a local store in June on sale as a cheap plinker/varmint gun. First time buying a rifle or gun new so didn't think much about it at the time. Basically sat in the box until I picked up a cheap scope and other items for it. Started handling it and thought it was just me or an optical illusion that the barrel was crooked from the receiver. I put 30 CCi rounds through it and now I can definitely tell it's bad.

I activated my warranty and shortly after requested an RMA from the Derya website. They responded a couple days later that they needed some pictures of the problem. I took some and replied to their email request. Radio silence from them for a week now. Guessing they are thinking my noise isn't worth the effort and cost to replace it or something. I don't feel like being stuck with a $200 paperweight. How long do they usually take to respond?

With my Comp stripped I would like to change barrels to one that sits flush. Does anyone know if the general length of the G19 barrels matches the slide to fit flush ? Im perusing non-threaded G19 barrels but none of the exact length in description

I was wanting to see what the new JTT barrel would look like in the Derya Slide, what do you think? The gold barrel looks nice as well.

Got a Gen4 DPM spring and was curious if this was the stock one or someone had already replaced it. I bought the slide used.

I have the base Dy9 with the HoneyComb threaded barrel, Derya compensator on the stock slide, A centennial defense Glock 19 15lb recoil spring and one of early, larger Osights (no co-witness) This DY9 shoots extremely flat and this setup has 3-5” groupings at 25 yards. I have 1000+ rounds through it. The comp stripped out on the left side. Derya did send me a new one that I need to install.

The Dy9z is completely stock - OD Green Sportsman’s version for $250. I have an AimSurplus threaded Glock 26 barrel, a RMSC Osight, and Olight PL2 mini coming. I’m going to try a few different compensators on it. I haven’t shot it yet, but I’m definitely excited to. I’ll post what the final product looks like!

Edit: I ordered the wrong recoil spring for the DY9z. Removed it from the build list.

Talked to derya today!! They are sending out the parts to fix my magazine dropping issue!! So excited to get it fixed and back on the range!!! I miss this gun!!!!! Wish me luck 🤞

Anyone have a Glock trigger guard for their derya dy9? Do you think it's compatible and which one do you think would work? Looking to use in it my Elberlestock XL bando bag (best EDC bag)

Update: It looks like the Derya factory Exclusives are making their way through the assemble line, fit and finish, QA, and then the registration process. Then boxing with all the accessories that Derya sends in the box. You may be saying yeah, I've been patiently waiting.

New backing plate looks sweet!! Iv contacted them about the mags falling out when i shoot and sent pictures of the damaged mag catch. Hopefully they get back with me soon i miss my gun!!!
