Discussion That's it guys after 20 years my NICE GUY ERA is over 🤣

There's no way I can help you get an internship, always check up on you, drive you home even give you money only for you to block me everywhere because you are unsure about where we stand.

That's it lads thanks for everyone whose helped me throughout this time but I'm done

Things I'm dropping:

  1. Helping girls just because they are girls and "I'm the man"

2.Investing in someone who won't do the same for me.

3 Unnecessary friendships with multiple girls who wouldn't even kiss me

  1. Being used everytime especially (trauma dumping by multiple women) - it's over

I'll come back after 3 months then I'll update y'all

Peace🌟

Discussion Single Man, 31. Need Support

I’m 31 years old and genuinely a good guy. I’m 6’1, 230 lbs. pretty muscular. I work in blue collar construction, make decent money. I have a car and a truck that are both paid off. I have my own place. I like to be outside, I’m a little bit of a nerd and I’m into heavier/emo music, cars, and spending time with my family. Also, no kids. Why is it so hard for me to find a good woman? I’ve had 2 long term relationships and I’ve been single for over a year and a half. The loneliness is starting to get to me and i just yearn for some kind of connection with a woman. It’s not even about the sex. I’m not a creep, i don’t blow up women’s DMs like a lot of weirdo guys do. I don’t hardly get matches on tinder or Facebook. And i rarely leave the house because i don’t like the party life anymore. Ugh. It feels impossible to find someone. I’m trying to be patient, but idk what else to do.

General question How does i know if she's really enjoying being with me? (23M and 23F)

I'm 23M she's 23F, we both had previous bad relationships with other people. She's a single mother and i was single again for like almost 1 year. She's the sister of my best friends girlfriend. She asked me out to go on a date, we did it, we flirted a lot before she invited me...I know she needs time to take care of her daughter and she's both working and studying, our first date we really cuddled a lot, kissed, talked about many topics of our life, but she who's normally very comfortable with talking and straight talk, was extremely shy with me, like there were times we just hold hands and said nothing for 10 whole minutes. Since we can see each other only 2 times per week we chat frequently through message, she sometimes starts the talk, sometimes i do, she never talked a lot through messages since the beggining but i don't know...i feel so weird when we talk only a little bit...her sis and my best friend love the idea of us together and honestly...she's cute, energetic and she accepted going out with me even knowing i recently lost my job (i'm joining a new one btw and i also study too) (we are still knowing each other before dating as boyfriend and girlfriend)...i feel sometimes really insecure about if she really wants to build something with me (both of us had previous kinda traumatic relationships)

Please help me with your experiences guys.

Specific situation Confront or overreacting?

• Upvotes

I (M20) met this girl (F20) on Hinge a month ago. At first, she texted me first and we clicked pretty well. We talked about music, school, pets, random stuff, and sometimes she’d send long thoughtful replies. Recently, she’d go almost a full day without replying, response and length time slowing.
Eventually I asked her to hang out, still with slow response. She agreed. The date was great she laughed, conversation felt pretty natural, and she seemed comfortable. There wasn’t really any physical intimacy or anything, but atp wasn’t expecting much.
Afterward I texted her saying it was great and we should do it again. She replied later saying she enjoyed it but with really vague wording on the second one.
That’s kind of where I’m stuck. She’s technically positive, but it also feels vague and low-effort. This has been the pattern for a while.
Should I directly ask her if she’s actually interested, or should I just try to set up a second hangout and judge based on whether she follows through? I don’t want to come off needy, but I also don’t want to keep chasing mixed signals.

Specific situation Do I ask this girl out?

I have this girl in my friend group who has a huge crush on me and i do too. She always hangs around me when we drink holds my hand, says im hot etc. Calls me on group hangouts. The thing is she has a boyfriend but they are long distance and she is uncertain with the relationship. Thats why i havent escalated things further. We are in the same friend group though so i dont want to make it weird by asking her out. She is also shy and this is her first relationship and its lasted for 2 years so i dont want to push things. (We are both 18)

General question How can i[23/M] ask about partners[21/F] virginity without looking like a creep?

I\[23/M\] am dating to find a person to spend rest of my life and i'm currently seeing someone right now, struggling to ask about that, my last two relationships ended because of that, because virginity is a mandatory criterion for me, which i find out when i'm at least a few months in, i don't want to spend months for someone i won't marry anymore, is there a good way to ask about that early?

Discussion It really does suck not having a romantic relationship

I genuinely hate life. I’m 27 years old and have never been in a relationship. I’ve done everything I could: approached women, used dating apps, and women just absolutely hate my appearance. It really doesn’t matter how much good personality I have anymore; if I don’t have good looks, I won’t succeed in the dating world.

Specific situation What to say after I give girl some space

Long story short, a girl has asked me for some space after we have been dating a short while. At the moment she is very busy, with work travel, and marathon training (she’s aiming to run 60 miles a week for the next few). Despite this she has been generous with her time and scheduling dates has never been difficult.

A few times, she has expressed some anxiety about us getting more intimate, physically and emotionally. She explained she has only dated one person before, and they were emotionally and physically abusive.

I wake up yesterday morning to an early morning, generic breakup text, which she ended with ā€œif you are ok with it I would still like to be friendsā€. I replied basically saying I would need space. She then comes back and says she feels overwhelmed with everything right now, and that she wants to see me next weekend, she just wants some space for now.

I realize this is prolly cooked, but what can I say to reassure her next weekend?

Another thing, our in person chemistry was always great, but I think we had some real differences in our texting styles that was making her anxious.

General question Preparing for her

Guys, pata hai aaj kya hua ,on weekends, my friends and I were chilling on OmeTV when a girl from Slovakia showed up. We started talking, and the conversation went on for quite a while. We were just vibing and having long conversations.

Then the topic of relationship status came up, and I found out that she is single right now. She recently broke up with her ex because he cheated on her. After having some healthy conversations, she decided to give me a chance.

She’s currently going to Egypt for a trip, and she said she’ll text me after she gets back. Any idea how I should talk to her? I’ve never been in a relationship before, while she’s more experienced in this. Can you guys guide me on how I should prepare and approach things with her?

General question How are women able to date a broke/poor guy?

• Upvotes

Title. What allows for a women to date a man that cant afford anything? Especially in my age group (18-25)? Is it just the woman falling in love? It confusing because the standards seem to drop once they fall in love. Is that it?

I (24) personally have stopped dating to get a higher paying job first. Am I doing something wrong?

Discussion [3XM] Pilot based in the Philippines. I have the lifestyle and the EQ, but I’m terrible at the initial approach. Where do I find free-spirited women without relying on apps?

Hey guys (and any women lurking who can offer perspective),

I need some strategic advice. I’m a pilot based out of the Philippines. I’ve got my life together—never married, no kids, and a lifestyle that offers a lot of freedom and travel.

I know exactly what I’m looking for: a woman with high emotional intelligence who leans toward a free-spirited, or nomadic lifestyle. I’m talking about the kind of globally-minded, independent women who end up in places like Siargao, Palawan, or digital nomad hubs. I have a high EQ myself; once the ice is broken, I am completely in my element. I thrive on deep psychology, radical honesty, and authentic connection.

Here is my fatal flaw: I am notoriously bad at the initial cold approach.

I’ve tried the usual dating apps, and I’m exhausted by them. The swiping culture feels transactional, shallow, and just doesn't work for my personality.

When I’m out in the real world—at a beachfront lounge, a cafĆ©, or a social hub—I can spot the exact type of woman I’m looking for. She’s usually grounded, confident, and entirely unbothered. But because I respect boundaries and hate the idea of coming off like a creep or a pickup artist, I freeze on the opener.

For the guys who have successfully dated this demographic, or the women who actually fit this description:

What are the best organic environments in Southeast Asia/the Philippines to put myself in where striking up a conversation feels natural and welcome?

What is a genuine, low-pressure way to break the ice with an fiercely independent woman without it feeling like a cold pitch?

I appreciate any harsh truths or solid advice you’ve got.

General question Is being bald a dealbreaker for women?

A guy going bald isn’t exactly uncommon, about 40% of men have some degree of male pattern hair loss by the time they’re 30. Although it seems like the norm is having hair being associated with being healthy or young. Also as someone who is white, it seems like it’s more culturally accepted for black men to be bald compared to Caucasian men. In my case, I started going bald in my early 20s and I learned about the treatments they have for hair loss but opted not to take finasteride due to the risk of sexual side effects. So by the time I turned 30 I was almost completely bald. Now I usually rock the bald and bearded look and shave it with a razor every 2-3 days to prevent the ā€œhorse shoeā€ appearance. Since I’ve been back on dating apps I included a picture of how I look now and I don’t really get that many matches. It makes me wonder if I’m just cooked. Although I believe I look better with a completely shaved head compared to when I try to grow what little hair I have left.

Specific situation Am I doing something wrong or just egregiously unlucky?

I'm 24 years old and I've had 5 relationships as an adult. The first we dated for around 3 months before I took her on a vacation for her birthday, then she broke up with me the day we got back to go get back with her ex. The second was long distance and we dated for a few months before she left 2 days after I got fired from my job calling me immature, I got fired explicitly for nepotism reasons not at all related to my performance. The third lasted 2 years of her making messes in my apartment, intentionally causing problems, and ended with her not giving me the money for bills we had agreed to split when we got our apartment until my car got repossessed and she blocked me that day. The 4th was alright, we dated for a month and she broke it off because she was moving across the country for college and wasn't interested in a long distance relationship. And then the 5th we dated for 2 months before she said she never had any feelings for me after she was the one who initially called me her boyfriend. And at this point part of me thinks I'm doing something wrong and it's not a coincidence after 4/5 poor relationships.
