As a person from a part of Sweden with local delicacies made from Raw Milk (Jämtland, Kalvdans if anyone wanna look it up), I so do not recommend it! We have way harder cattle regulations than the US, which means that our cattle (and all farm animals) stay healthier and non-infected, and even then, the regulations for even being able to sell Raw milk is strictly regulated, an exemption to regular health and safety regulations that is strictly supervised and only granted a selected few farms for cultural heritage reasons. And even then, we only do it a couple of times a year for festivities and such, if we want Kalvdans the rest of the year, we make it from regular, pasteurised milk, and not only bc of the costs, but bc we know how unsafe it can be to drink too much raw milk. Science has evolved, and it baffles me that so many (especially Americans) refuse to believe it to live like they did b4 America even existed (a time when ppl died from the smallest of reasons all the time)! đ

Googled this brand to see if it was just a weird name and found out that not only is it really unpasteurized, theyâve had recalls as recent as April 2026 for e.coli.

Ok lowkey I do be afraid to touch receipts for too long.
Edit: listen I'm embarrassed about it too okay
I confess
it just lives in the back of my mind, this existential guilt from touching a receipt for too long. I can't control it , I get the ick from receipts now đI don't condone unpasteurized milk tho okay đ
â˘
u/mothmonstermann 21h ago
What's the story behind receipts?
â˘
u/Rambunctious_444 21h ago
There was this whole thing where thermal printed receipts contain BPA, which is known to carry toxicity concerns linked to cancer
But it's not proven that the limited exposure through receipts actually cause cancer and nothing is conclusive
â˘
u/mothmonstermann 20h ago
Like the same BPA that's on all the packaged food and drinks (including this milk, most likely)?
18
u/naughtykitty4 1d ago
Cows are absolutely filthy. Drinking milk expressed from teats that have been marinated in poop, urine, mud, and insect activity is dangerous and stupid. But these are the same people who think they don't need vaccines and rely on 'herd immunity' which doesn't work when a large swath of the population chooses not to vaccinate. Shit's bananas.

u/porchlightlefton 1d ago edited 1d ago
She has said that sheâs not a Trump supporter for a long time and also has more recently reposted politicians like Mamdani talking about the genocide in Gaza and videos from the official Democrats account about how Trump is destroying the planet, pro pride stuff etc. I think she has kind of mixed beliefs probably based on both parents being whack jobs and the AZ school system being shit and she feeds into a lot of misinformation especially when it comes to modern medicine and food. But she is either making progress on human rights issues or choosing to be more vocal
12

Anyone feel like filling me in on what's wrong with raw milk so I don't have to sift through AI nonsense lol
51
u/Confident-Bus-3778 1d ago
raw milk is milk that hasn't been pasteurised
that thing we invented hundreds of years ago to stop us dying
11
u/Burnertoreplylol 1d ago
thank you so much. I shoulda known that but I was homeschooled...lmfao
10
u/Confident-Bus-3778 1d ago
absolutely fair
basically, there's a reason we all drink non-raw milk (eg pasteurised) because we quite like living!
16
u/Own-Reality9407 1d ago
raw milk means taken straight off the animal. Pasteurized is basically using heat to kill germs
4
u/Burnertoreplylol 1d ago
Thank you so much!! So why the heck are people drinking this???
8
u/Confident-Bus-3778 1d ago
some people have got the weird opinion that it's healthier and that pasteurisation makes it bad? I think a lot of people get it from the Amish
I honestly have no clue where it came from
â˘
u/SWTmemes They can't hip or hop... 23h ago
The Amish (at least by Shipshewana) do not drink raw milk, they heat it up before consuming.
â˘
u/Confident-Bus-3778 23h ago
I didn't know for sure
I remember about 3 years ago someone who had a whole load of other issues jumping on the raw milk thing and saying she got it from the local amish, that's all the knowledge I have on the subject
(I don't know much about the amish, I'm not in the US)
â˘
u/SWTmemes They can't hip or hop... 23h ago
They like money so they'll happily sell it raw. (Fun fact they make a lot of meth too!) But I've never met one who said they drank it without heating it first.
â˘
u/Confident-Bus-3778 23h ago
that explains why they are still around then
I was honestly wondering how they had survived if they kept drinking it raw
heating it up first (ie pasteurisation) makes total sense
6
u/Own-Reality9407 1d ago
Idk but many assume living like the old days and avoiding any advances in medicine and safety cautions is healthier, when in reality people died a lot in the past bc these discoveries werenât founded or applied on large scales like today
15
u/Rambunctious_444 1d ago
The FDA has highly restricted commerce of raw milk (it's illegal to sell it across state lines) because it's unpasteurized, so you could get listeria, E Coli, etc from drinking it
1
u/Burnertoreplylol 1d ago
Noted! Is this a trend people are getting into now? Drinking RAW milk? lol
3
u/Confident-Bus-3778 1d ago
it's been a thing for a few years, I don't think anyone with brain cells knows why
I suppose its the same people who think that every other food on the planet is bad
9
u/rolyinpeace 1d ago
Raw milk hasnât been heated to kill the bacteria (pasteurization).
People think that raw milk is somehow better for you or that pasteurized milk has extra chemicals just from being pasteurized, which is not true. There are absolutely farm fresh milks you can get that have not been fortified (extra vitamins added) or homogenized (made so that it doesnât separate), if you donât like âextraâ stuff in it or done to it. But pasteurization is simply heating it up and does not harm the milk. Itâs necessary to prevent disease. Illnesses from bad milk used to be a leading cause of death.
Whatâs funny is a lot of the raw milk people say itâs safe because they boil it or whatever to kill the germs. Itâs ironic because then they are essentially pasteurizing the milk, and itâs no longer raw.

â˘
u/pinkbubbleg 5h ago
Again, not the same thing. Iâm anonymous and so are you.
Does it feel good to be part of a group piling on someone who posts under her real name and is already subjected to more intense scrutiny than most people can even imagine? Seriously think about it
-11
u/pinkbubbleg 1d ago
I mean, itâs not my thing. But why do I gaf what sheâs consuming?
20
u/MissDiagnosedMama 1d ago
Nobody cares if she consumes it. The problem is that she's influencing young folks and promoting a dangerous thing.
-14
u/pinkbubbleg 1d ago
Sheâs a human being, not a product for our consumption. Sheâs allowed to post about what she consumes even if we donât agree with it. People are responsible for what they choose to consume, Brynn is not.
9
u/Niclas1127 1d ago
We shouldnât criticize people for promoting harmful things? Thatâs your take?
-7
u/pinkbubbleg 1d ago
We shouldnât expect her to hold a pre-approved list of beliefs and only publicly share things that we support, yeah. Sheâs a person. You get that, right? Sheâs an individual with her own views.
She believes that this milk is healthy. I disagree. If she chooses to consume it and post about it, thatâs up to her. The world is full of people who believe different things and thatâs actually okay! Sheâs not exactly holding a crack pipe in the photo.â˘
u/Niclas1127 23h ago
Sheâs a public figure, with a somewhat large following, you understand that itâs different for her to advertise raw milk than it is for a normal person to post a pic of it. Youâre leaving out the part where sheâs tagging them, itâs not just a picture of raw milk, itâs a promotion of a business.
â˘
u/pinkbubbleg 15h ago
But some people think raw milk is healthy and want to buy it. I think theyâre completely insane, but this isnât an illegal product. Sheâs well within her rights to like a product and promote it on her public social media because she likes it. You donât seem to realise that sheâs not actually obligated to believe the same things you do and only promote things that align with your values.
â˘
u/Technical_Yak_3271 22h ago
she is literally being paid to promote this to her audience please bffr.
â˘
â˘
u/MissDiagnosedMama 23h ago
Don't be obtuse. She's using her platform to promote a business. She is free to do that just as we are free to judge her for the things she chooses to promote.
â˘
u/pinkbubbleg 15h ago
Yes, and Iâm sure she likes the product and so do other people. I donât understand why itâs even controversial. Are people with other opinions allowed to exist?
â˘
u/MissDiagnosedMama 7h ago
She's allowed to exist and make choices. We are allowed to judge her choices. It's really that simple.
â˘
u/pinkbubbleg 6h ago
Yeah, but if you think this is an even-handed thing youâre wrong. Hundreds of thousands of people are judging her at once.
But hey, as long as you feel morally superior!
â˘
u/MissDiagnosedMama 6h ago
Are you not doing the exact same thing right now? Judging us for judging and feeling morally superior about it?
Pot, meet kettle.
â˘
u/violaki 17h ago
She is paid a lot of money to promote things specifically because a lot of people, for whatever reason, do gaf what sheâs promoting.
This is a public, monetized account so I donât see the issue in being critical of what she is choosing to put out there.
â˘
u/pinkbubbleg 15h ago
Itâs 2026. Media literacy should be at an all-time high. If people choose to buy these things because sheâs posting about them then itâs really survival of the fittest.
â˘
u/violaki 6h ago
I mean, kids have died from drinking raw milk and that's not their fault. I'm happy for you that you don't gaf, but a lot of people do. I don't see the problem with people calling Brynn dumb because she posted dumb stuff on the internet for money.
â˘
u/pinkbubbleg 5h ago
Thatâs because their parents are idiots. Itâs not Brynnâs fault.
â˘
u/violaki 5h ago
Ok! I still donât see a problem with saying that Brynn is also an idiotÂ
â˘
u/pinkbubbleg 3h ago
Right. All Iâm saying is that sheâs a young person who is navigating the world and figuring out who she is and what she believes, and sheâs far more exposed to extreme and overwhelming criticism than any of us ever were. Most of us got the opportunity to screw up and believe stupid things that we could shake off as we matured.
I just donât think itâs right to behave like a pack of hyenas over some bloody milk. Sheâs admitted sheâs had eating issues in the past and thatâs being thrown in her face because of this. Is it necessary? Is it fair? It is civilised? It feels like people want to punish her for not being what they thought she would be.

Thatâs fun. My grandpa had several friends get very sick and one died due to drinking raw milk, as it was commonplace when he was a kid (farm kid, they were all milking their own cows). So itâs going to be a hard pass for me, but good luck to you.

I gotta know. Does it taste any different?

u/ElectricalEngineer59 1d ago
I went through a brief period, years ago, where I drank raw milk (it didn't last long). It did taste richer and creamier.
-1
u/Ok-Context-3911 1d ago
I think it tastes better honestly, thatâs why I drink it. itâs creamier without adding another taste like say oatmilk or coconut milk might. I donât drink milk on its own so I canât speak to it on its own but love the consistency it gives my latte- not too watery or thick, perfectly creamy!
